As a regular customer we normally have a great service from them. Got an urgent order in this week Monday and didn't have enough stainless sheets to fulfil the order. Called The Metal Store and spoke to Rebecca who arranged for it to leave the same day. Got it the next day and it saved the day for us.

Just a big thanks for the great service and going the extra mile.

Excellent buying experience - well priced and great support from Rebecca in the sales team.

Worth pointing out that I wasn't placing a large order but the amount of care and support was first-rate.

Order arrived today EXACTLY to spec and at a price that was significantly more reasonable than other quotes I'd had.

I will be back and (based on this experience) I would whole-heartedly recommend them.

these have to have the most annoying brain dead advert on the radio, two guys repeatedly saying the metal store, that took a long time to think up!!

We are small but regular customers of the Metal Store and have always found their service and products very good. But its when things go a bit wrong that a company shows its true colours. Our recent order was separated by DX Express, So I had a box of fittings but no tube. I called them on Friday and Becca stepped in to help. She chased DX Express for me and told me that they promised her a delivery on Monday. Which didn't happen. The most impressive thing about the following week was that Becca had been monitoring the shipment and called me to tell me what was going on. She continued to call with updates until finally calling to check I had received my tube when DX Express said it had been delivered. I have been in business for nearly 50 years and that is exceptional customer service. Great communication, very polite and always trying to help. Thanks!

The Metal Store charged me an eye watering £145.15 to return a £554.05 order dispite placing a new replacement order of £1108.10, when I complained they blamed the delivery company, well, The Metal Store should not use a delivery company that rips off their customers. I will certainly not be using The Metal Store in future and recommend you do the same.

Okay so the delivery was a nightmare!

That out of the way everything else was better than can possibly be expected from a company that you have entrusted your hard earned money.

The products, fantastic and cut to procession. The price, fantastic and I would argue difficult to beat. The customer service, now thats where this review will focus.

Andy representing the mental store went out of his way for over a week every single day to chase up the pain in the bottom delivery companies. He was a dream to deal with and helped reassure and chase everything time and time again relentlessly! Absolute gem of a gentleman and in my view a shining face - or voice - of the metal store.

Overall a five star review because although the delivery was a little bit of a pain in the backside the metal store - Andy specifically - went out of there way to rectify and handle the matter without the need for any further intervention of myself.

Highly recommended from the perspective of products, price, quality and customer service.

I recently placed two separate orders with The Metal Store in quick succession and was initially disappointed to be charged twice for shipping. I emailed the company on Friday asking if the orders could be combined, but by Monday afternoon I was told it was too late in the process. I replied to say it was a shame, but shortly after I received a call from Rebecca, who was extremely apologetic and immediately offered to refund one of the shipping costs.

That personal touch really turned the situation around and showed excellent customer service. I really appreciated the call, and based on that alone I’d happily recommend The Metal Store. I’ve yet to receive my parcels, but I’m confident the products will be just as good as the service.

I needed a genuinely rust free piece of metal for outdoor use so I ordered a bespoke cut length from THE METAL STORE. Order #835282.
It was the most expensive way to get what I wanted but I was not price sensitive but wanted a quality galvanised piece for a display gate that I had made specially.

What turned up was a roughly cut piece of galvanised profile with sharp edges and rust already on it at the cut end.

I sent pictures of what they sent me to Andy at Metal Store and got a reply saying to get piece that was galvanised at both ends I needed to order a 6mtr piece….!!!! He suggested I paint it with special paint and pointed me to their website where they sell the paint etc.

Disappointing just isn’t harsh enough a description, but they are off my supplier list now and I will get a piece of aluminium profile to complete my project instead.

The product was perfect, the service was awful. I chose this store for its “next day delivery” - it took me a week and 4 separate deliveries to finally get all the missing parts I ordered. I was constantly promised the delivery would be happening on a specific day and it didn’t happen. I should have read the other reviews before ordering

Good products at decent prices. However, there were multiple mistakes with my order and the customer service department has very poor listening skills and isn't really engaged with trying to solve the issues.

Eventually I gave up, bought the missing parts elsewhere and requested a refund, only to be told I need to send the missing portion of the order back, which I never received in the first place!

I'm still not convinced they've fully grasped the issue - we shall see. In the meantime, a bit of additional customer service training is required.

I ordered 2" galvanised mesh. They sell it as imperial 2", but you can't order imperial measurements online, only metric. One piece was cut, I sent a sketch. The cut piece arrived 23cm short. I complained, sent images, but it was implied I was lying as they couldn't see the other end of the tape measure. They also cut the long edge with 2" spikes, it should of had complete squares. They phoned in an attempt to bully me and argue. In the end they said they'd refund me, I was going to cancel the credit card payment anyway. The delivery instructions weren't read, dumped products on my plants flattening them. Appalling treatment. I had to take more photos to prove I am not lying. Waiting for them to come and pick it up.

My first time ordering from The Metal Store and it was an excellent experience from the initial phone call, to ordering and to the final product itself. Good quality items and exactly to specification. Well done team.

Ordered 2 sheets of aluminuim both arrived on time.When I opened packaging found both sheets heavily scratched.I took photos and sent them to Metal store telling them about poor quality.The reply I got was rather dismmisive and was told not to worry as the other sides would be fine.

Had a small error with an order after some advice on the phone which could have been better - emailed them with details and to their credit re shipped the correct parts at no additional cost without having to ask.

Just a quick review to pass on yet another positive engagement with The Metal Store. I bought a custom-sized piece of steel for a project which the genius couriers then promptly lost once it entered their warehouse. I contacted The Metal Store and the lovely Holly was hugely apologetic (not their fault!), told me not to worry and promptly ordered a replacement to be sent by priority post. The replacement then arrived as promised allowing the project to be completed.

This is why I don’t buy metal anywhere else unless I have to.

Avoid. Bought three box sections from them. They offered next day delivery with DX. It has been 10 days nothing has been delivered. so far. Sent them two two emails re my order got zero response. DX is the worst delivery service at the moment in the UK, but this cannot justify the choices that Themetal store makes and their complete silence. Do not recommend them to anyone.

Tried purchasing an item for a specific day for delivery. Never turned up.. chased where it was and they said they would get back to me with an update. No update so I chased again.. said would arrive two days later. Still it never turned up.
