Feels quite scammy
Feels quite scammy. Replaced a much cheaper and more trustworthy plan that our local vet had. All administered centrally so our vet has very little idea how it works. Plan is full of exceptions and caveats. It’s “just” beneficial but I would recommend anyone who has had access to a local vet who isn’t owned by a national company that uses this scheme to go there instead.

More than 10 years as a loyal customer. £120 to leave. Think twice before joining.
After more than 10 years as a customer, we recently moved our dogs to an independent veterinary practice.
Over time, we felt the cost of both veterinary services and our Pet Health Club memberships increased significantly. The monthly cost for our two dogs more than doubled since we originally joined the scheme, eventually reaching around £50 per month. We ultimately decided that the plan no longer represented good value for us.
A particular disappointment was discovering that cancelling our two Pet Health Club memberships resulted in £120 of cancellation fees (£60 per pet). While Pet Health Club pointed to its terms and conditions and maintained the charges were correctly applied, we felt the fees were unreasonable given our long history as customers and the fact that the plans had only recently renewed.
Following a lengthy complaints process, Pet Health Club confirmed that the current £60 cancellation fee is a fixed charge applied when a plan is ended early and is not calculated by reference to the specific benefits received under an individual plan. Despite our concerns and years of loyalty as customers, no refund or goodwill gesture was offered.
Prospective customers should carefully review the membership costs, renewal arrangements and cancellation terms before joining.
We have since moved to an independent local practice and have been happier with that arrangement.

We understand your concerns around rising costs and the cancellation fees. Pet Health Club is a 12-month agreement which renews annually, and the £60 early cancellation fee applies per plan when a membership is ended during its contract year. This fixed fee replaced our previous process of calculating the value of benefits already received and provides a clear, capped amount for early cancellation.
We appreciate that, after such a long time with us, you were disappointed with the outcome of your complaint. We value your feedback and wish you and your dogs all the best with your new practice.
Wonderful care
Hillman vets Brownhills were wonderful with our poorly cat when she developed a huge abscess on her face following a cat fight.
They have, and are still, seeing her often to make sure she is progressing well.
Everyone has been so kind to her and us.
