Kevin keeps making it better and better. It is wonderful to have a community, all motivated and willing to share information with each other. It is an incredible support. It is a enormous resource of information as well.

Finding out you have a bad gene is difficult and puts you on a research path of desperation. I did a lot of research for 4 years and when I found Phoenix I wasn't alone anymore, they're doing the same research and sharing results as well as the journey with its many ups and downs. Dr. Kevin Tran has exceeded every expectation and put together an amazing platform and he has TWO copies of the gene so he wants information to be correct. He hosts top neurologists and geneticists and other science professionals in podcasts as well. Also gets us discounts on research participation and discounts on labs and supplements.

I joined Phoenix early in its inception in 2025 because I liked what I saw and read. Dr Kevin Tran is conscientious and committed at the helm and he invites members to contribute toward its improvement and development in whatever skills they have.
We are all part of Phoenix but you can choose how much to interact. You can join a pod and share what you are working on to improve your life or not. You can join an online presentation on a topic of interest that members can contribute questions toward in advance. Members can post studies of interest to share and more. Phoenix is a safe place where apoe4 folks can interact, learn, create and work toward whatever their goal is & many times someone else in the group is working toward the same or similar thing. There's comfort in numbers when you're an Apoe4. Alzheimers and Dementia are dreadful diseases that have touched many of our friends/loved ones already and that desire to live without it is a strong and determined one. I've been in touch with members who live not too far from me but I also enjoy interacting with others who live all over the world. I'm not a big techy person either. The site is easy to navigate and Kevin is always open to questions or comments. Phoenix is a living growing entity that keeps getting better because of the focus, energy & time folks put into and get out of. I'm glad I joined and I think you will be too!

I joined The Phoenix/APOE4 Community in April 2025 and was very pleased at what I found. It was nice to find a space where people understood the specific risks of APOE4. The platform does a great job translating complex research into common language, it helps me take charge of my brain health while feeling comfortable that I have expert scientists leading the way. When I found out, I had 2 copies of APOE4 he kind of gave me a little scare. I searched all over for information and wasn’t finding a ton of it. Then I saw Dr. Kevin Tran on YouTube who was talking about it. He found it the Phoenix community, which was a lot of other people who had the same thing I did. It was great to have a community to ask questions bump ideas off of and just in general. It was good to have a support system who understood. Since I’ve been in the community, I have learned so many things, and it has given me a path to succeed and live longer through basic changes in life. I totally recommend this community for folks who won’t answer answers and information about APOE4. I join the group in June 2025 and plan to stay with it forever.

Phoenix is a great "home base" to get the latest thoughts, ideas, and actionable advice on what to do and how to do it for preventing Alzheimer's in your own life or a loved one's. Be a part of a community of like-minded individuals on the same journey of prevention, and learn about diverse approaches, including lifestyle choices, new treatments, studies, etc, etc. You can tailor your involvement to your own situation and meet others in like situations. I have been part of the Phoenix Community for APOE4 Carriers since its early beginnings, and I can genuinely say it has been an invaluable resource in my journey toward better brain health and longevity.

As an APOE4 carrier, I believe knowledge is power, but more importantly, it's what you do with that knowledge that makes the difference. The Phoenix Community is made up of a smart group of motivated people who freely share information and research. I've gotten tips on improving sleep, as well as valuable information on what I should focus on. I contribute where I can with what my experience has been. If you're looking for a community of people who are also facing being an APOE4 carrier with everything that could potentially mean, you couldn't be in a better place.

I've been a member since March 2025. The Phoneix Community provides a lot of benefits. The app is great for tracking. Access to extremely discounted test pricing as well as to acquire and test innovative devices is provided. Kevin does an excellent job reviewing and summarizing research. The pod concept, where you meet with peers and discuss what they and you are doing is excellent as well. I recommend it and I think it is an excellent value.

The Phoenix community led by Dr Tran is a true shining light in the darkness when one finds out they carry an APOE4 gene. It is a very confronting fact to face and there is safety in number knowing other people in the same boat as you are all together sharing scientific information. There is a lot of of Alzheimers disease data floating around and certainly too many unreliable sources. If you want to cut right through to what really makes sense and is scientifically solid, Phoenix is the group to join. Don't waste time anywhere else like I did.

I first joined the Phoenix Community in June. I was constantly asking myself if the cost was worth what I was getting from it. There was a lot of benefit but the price was high. I canceled my membership at almost the end of the 60-day refund period. The refund was processed immediately and I still had access through the full sixty days.

I stayed on the email list, and found that I missed the posts in the community more than I expected. Then there was the email announcing the added benefit of low-cost blood tests. I had recently purchased blood tests through Life Extension's annual sale, and had been comparing their pricing to Function Health, so I was very familiar with the cost of the tests.

Because of having just done my homework, so to speak, I saw at a glance what tremendous value the blood tests brought to the Phoenix membership. And I wasted no time in rejoining, now confident that I was getting more than my money's worth.

Kevin really IS the Phoenix Community and his positivity and energy are infectious! As the community has grown, we’ve had the fortune to hear directly from leaders in their fields such as cardiology, hormonal health, sleep, nutrition etc all with a specific focus on how these impact APOE4 carriers. This is essential as, by definition, general medicine is very rarely applicable to we 4/4s (as we say!) and many, if not most general practitioners do not understand APOE genes nor have the agency to practice medicine accordingly.
Above all, the Phoenix is a support community of respectful, intelligent and highly-driven individuals. To be honest, a year into my membership I still have not used much of the platforms functionality but nevertheless consider my subscription excellent value.

Phoenix is the only comprehensive community I have found for people who want to be proactive in preserving their cognitive ability. The date tracking provides a real roadmap to help you determine the best health areas to focus attention and energy. This really helps with overwhelm. But the best part is the community of people, all living with the same risk, sharing info and support. The technical support and response is also first rate.

When I first learned that I had the APOE 4/4 gene, I went down the proverbial rabbit hole. I was getting emails and information from all kinds of Alzheimer's "experts," and was feeling overwhelmed trying to figure out what I should actually be paying attention to.

Eventually I came across The Phoenix founder's videos on Facebook and YouTube. When I learned that he had started The Phoenix, a community specifically for people with the APOE 4/4 gene - and that he carried the gene himself - I pretty much stopped following all the other sources, focused my attention on The Phoenix, and became a member about a year ago.

I'll admit that The Phoenix overwhelmed me at first, too, but in a very different way! There was SO much information. Over time, I began to appreciate just how much is available to the community: vital lifestyle changes, guidance about bloodwork we should be monitoring and optimal levels, help understanding lab results, information about supplements and their potential usefulness for APOE4 carriers, brain training opportunities, the latest research, and opportunities to participate in clinal trials...just to name a few.

And it keeps getting better...There are now member benefits such as specially negotiated prices for certain Quest and Labcorp labs, and a Supplement Store with reduced prices on supplements many of the members commonly use.

Probably what I value the most is that The Phoenix is more than a collection of information. Members connect with each other daily through a messaging platform on a myriad of topics, and in small groups, or "pods" of members with similar concerns or struggles. Most importantly, I no longer feel like I'm facing this "Battle for the Brain" alone. I have hope. I feel like I'm learning what I can do to give myself the best possible chance of staying cognitively healthy for as long as possible...and I'm with a whole community of people on the same journey.

If you're an APOE4/4 trying to figure out what information to trust, what you can actually do, and how to navigate this journey, I wholeheartedly recommend The Phoenix. For me, becoming part of this community has made a tremendous difference!

My experience with the Phoenix Community has been great. If a person finds themselves with the APOE4 gene, this is the place to find the right help. From bloodwork tracking and suggestions to studies- expert interviews and suggestions to small group networking- and much more. The only thing holding a person back from helping themselves in this group, is not taking advantage of all the resources. I am an ApoE4+/+ individual and joined Phoenix more than a year ago. Professionally, I have a strong background in biomedical research, particularly in immunopathology (though there is little overlap with research on neurodegenerative diseases).
From the very beginning, I was deeply impressed by Dr. Kevin Trans’s unwavering commitment to providing well-founded and truly evidence-based information about the possibilities—as well as the limitations—of positively influencing the course of Alzheimer’s disease. Among the many ways Kevin supports the ApoE4+ community, I would like to highlight in particular his Journal Club, in which he discusses the latest findings from the scientific literature on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, and/or treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. His commentary on current scientific publications is truly outstanding, both in terms of the scientific standards he applies and his efforts to provide a balanced assessment of the potential benefits compared to the pitfalls and limitations of new scientific findings.
