I rented two units for the past 18 months very reasonably priced. Friendly family service. Well recommended.

Evans was an absolute star, so pleasant and helpful.

All the staff at the company are always supportive and and organised. Especially Evans who is keen to provide any administrative or technical assistance for the storage units.

Evans and Shehroze are always a great help and credit to the business. Fantastic service everyday.

Stored at Apex Corner for many years now. The site is tidy, secure and easily accessible. Many car parks spaces and no hassle ever getting in or out. The staff are wonderful and always going out their way to give you the best service possible. Huge thanks to GK who is always a pleasure to see and his attitude is what makes the branch the way it is. Thank you for all you do!

Been storing here at the Apex Corner site for the past 2 years when I started my business. Had the pleasure of meeting GK who helped me with the move in and looked after me really well. It is always a pleasure seeing him and having a catch up. The site is always tidy and his team are always there to support.

Biased towards people who have to cancel interviews for family emergencies rude over the phone I would never be a customer or work for this company stay clear

Waltham abbey branch are excellent. Peter and the team can not do enough for you . Always on hand or a quick response via email . Would definitely recommend and use again .

I can only speak for the storage unit at Waltham Abbey, Essex.
The manager and assistant manger are extremely helpful, polite and funny (in a good way) and very knowledgeable about their site and job. They will always take time to make sure everything is ok.
I cannot recommend this site and staff any more.

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Service and Maintenance

I've been using the self-storage facility at Apex Corner for years.
In the last several months unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing.

First and foremost, the facility has been blocking access for extended periods, making it incredibly inconvenient to retrieve or store items. Additionally, the staff consistently occupy parking spaces meant for customers, adding to the frustration.

Communication with the staff has been a nightmare. They are often rude and unhelpful over the phone, which is unacceptable for any business.

The facility itself is in dire need of maintenance. During the winter months, there were multiple leaks, causing damage to some of my belongings. The doors are also in poor condition, making them difficult to open and close.

Overall, I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone. The lack of access, poor customer service, and maintenance issues make it a terrible choice for storing your valuable items.

Have never hired a storage space before but needed to as having done renovation work done. Was a bit nervous about being lured in on a discount then being screwed over on extra fees. But amazing service from the Self Storage team who couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. In the end I had to extend by a month, but then left 3 weeks in and the team instantly refunded me the difference. Would really recommend.

Have moved into a unit at Hemel Hempstead. Personally found dealing with staff at these places quite hard , however Donna @ the Hemel branch was excellent ! totally down to earth, helpful ,efficient knowledgeable and very easy to deal with, thanks Donna your a star.

They have now put my rent up twice in less than 2 yrs!! I only have a small locker and really considering moving! Always paid on time no issues but just keep thinking if you’ve done that in 2 yrs what will I be paying in the future given no choice but to look elsewhere

Our local reliable helpers, I was moving home to a smaller property so needed some temporary capacity and a Council Garage would take a year on their waiting list.
A two month half-price deal for about a 45 square foot lock-up was perfect.
Jess was brilliant in the office running through everything you need to know; how to gain entry 24x7, the gate security, lifts and using the fob. I got a tour and help choosing the size.
You buy your own lock, I guess this is for removing some responsibility of choosing an appropriate level of security - good idea. You can buy a fob if you need to access out of office hours... This worked for me, but the office is open 7 days a week anyway.
You pay by the month and there's only a short notice period to cancel... If you ever need to!
As I sold, recycled, gifted and basically reduced the amount in the locker, I easily downgraded to a smaller unit.
Billy helped with giving notice and everything went smoothly.
There's 3 floors stuffed with corridors full of massive car size garages to miniature units catering for all manner of domestic/consumer and business storage.
The provide lots of trolleys and 2 bays through large shutters to keep you dry if it rains... More parking inside the gates and outside.
You get a unit code and a passcode for the gate, the shutters and the lift... Same used for leaving through the barrier.
Everything reeks of security, professionalism and simplicity.
You get piped radio and I've never needed to wait for a bay to add or remove belongings.
I even directed my removal firm (AnyVan.com) to deliver a load to the facility; not uncommon at all he said, he even humped it into the unit too for me.
There's some premium ground floor units if you need.
You can pay as you go out setup a schedule after paying up-front for the first 2 months 50% discount.
If you need packing boxes, bubble-wrap etc, they've these on-site.
There's ample light but I sometimes used my torch for extra illumination... Maybe they could sell some for hanging off the unit's roof cage ;-) !
Unlike outdoor garages, these are dry and clean, free from damp and dirt - store anything (within reason) in them.

Useless as only office hours access. Most people surely want access outside this. Sunday 10am-4pm is pathetic. Website even says 24 hour access. Very annoying. Won’t use again for this simple reason, I need more flexibility.

Unfortunately my stuff is there now so stuck with them. But will make sure it’s as short time as possible.

I have several business storage units throughout the UK and the one I had here for several years was the most problematic (the location in Welwyn was however perfect).

On taking out the contract I was advised they would be supporting continuous card authority or direct debit within a few months - years later they still don't offer the service. You must phone up once a month or faff with standing orders/transfers.

Over the many years I've been storing items here, I've often seen the alarm be set off. I've never seen anyone respond in person to the site.

The computer keypads to enter the site don't need a security fob, it's dial your unit number & code. The system they have has proven pretty unreliable for me, I've noticed it tends to lockup after a thunderstorm... on more than one occasion I've had to reverse out the entrance as the roller shutter keypads and exit gate keypad were not responding. Very frustrating when your business requires access to the tools you are storing there.

There is no manned 24hr contact number - so if their system has incorrectly locked you out of your unit or just crashed again, you are screwed until they open again.

If you are inside the site and need help, they have help points - if you push the button you get answered by a security service who have no idea where you are and can't help with anything. This includes when you report that the roller shutter is stuck open and the site is insecure.

I've moved all my equipment from this unit to another less than an hour away - rental is just over half what I was paying here. I have a 24hr manned emergency phoneline that actually gets answered, I can pay with direct debit and they even have cctv that covers all the corridors and entrances to the storage units (as opposed to lifts) ... they offer a free business centre with meeting rooms, free wifi, free printing / teas & coffee - and £10k worth of contents insurance included.

If you can live with occaisionally being locked out, like the location and don't mind paying a premium for it - the Welwyn self-storage co may be perfect for you....
