It's a lovely device with great capacities

I bought a BOOX Go 10 (Gen II) Lumi and it was delivered on September 14. On October 14, day 30, I emailed to request a return because the black-and-white screen didn’t work for my colored textbooks.
Their reply said the 30-day period is counted from the “exact date and time of delivery” and that I was 2 hours 28 minutes late. But their published policy says returns are accepted “within 30 days of the delivery date,” and my order confirmation says “30-day returns on new devices.” Neither mentions hours, or a requirement to drop the item off within 30 days.
They only sent a return label after the deadline they say I missed, so I couldn’t have shipped it in time. They offered the return with a 20% restocking fee plus $15 shipping, and later sent the same reply again without addressing the policy wording or my questions.
My family owns three BOOX devices bought from another retailer. This was my first purchase from TIFAN, and given how this was handled, I won’t buy from them again. The product may be fine, but if you might need to return something, I’d read their policy very carefully and ask them to confirm the terms in writing first.

Update, 4:05 pm Oct 21, 2026:
I accepted the initial offer before reviewing your published policy and have asked you to reconsider the restocking fee. I’m waiting for written confirmation of the final refund amount.

All good and no worries

Did my research on E-ink tablets and settled on the BOOX Note Air 5 C. As with most purchases, I looked on Amazon.ca. In looking for some accessories, I came across Tifan's website and noticed that their price was much better by almost $200 on the tablet alone and taking into account the accessories I wanted was much more than that. Excellent response to questions and they also answer the phone if you call them! Great to support a Canadian business. Highly recommended
