Terrible experience today at Townhouse. I had a gel removal and express manicure booked, and everything was fine until the application of the top coat. The top coat (Performance Polish) caused bubbles. They tried a different bottle of top coat, but the same issue arose. I therefore asked for the polish to be removed as I didn't want nails with bubbles on. Due to the issues, I asked for the express manicure to be removed. They offered to re-book, but as the issue is with the quality of the top coat, I didn't want to re-book as we had already tried a number of different top coat bottles. However, Townhouse advised that payment had to be made and all refunds needed to be made via emailing their customer services. After speaking with them further, they said they would close the invoice. However, payment was still taken, and even though I contacted their customer service, they refuse to provide a refund. I've raised a complaint as I should not be required to pay for a service that was unsatisfactory. Townhouse is the only company where, if there are issues, you are still required to make payment. I would recommend avoiding using this company as they are unethical.

I visited Townhouse Harrods beauty Bristol for the first time and was excited to experience my first treatment at Townhouse. As a disabled customer I need to access Harrods Beauty using the lift and escalatorsnI usually use the escalators and in the H&M store a couple of doors away however on this day both the lifts and escalators were out of order which meant I had to leave the store and use the main escalators in The Cribbs Causeway centre. The first words that were uttered it to me on arrival were.." you are 8 minutes late"! It was explained that they were now unable to do the treatment which I was looking forward to as I was about to go on holiday to Spain the following day. After some deliberation a treatment was offered and I was happy to sit down and get my toenails painted with gel polish. However I felt very disappointed that my very first interaction with Townhouse had been so negative. The treatment that was offered from it by a different member of staff was extremely enjoyable and professional. However the edge have been taken off of the enjoyable experience I had anticipated and want to feedback that the first interaction with any client should never be a negative one.!

This has gone from bad to worse. I found that townhouse gel did not last very long (see other reviews). They suggested I tried BIAB. This destroyed my nails and looked awful - peeling within 9-10 days. They redid it. The same thing happened. They provided me with a ‘points refund’ to use another time. I booked this appointment to have it redone and it was cancelled due to staff sickness. What kind of high end service has their staff booked at such capacity that they have NO slots or gaps in the diary to absorb cancelled appointments at any of their London salons?. This is not what one expects from an expensive service. They gave me £5 points for the inconvenience. Is this meant to be a joke? At a high end service you’d be expecting a lot more for this inconvenience, particularly as they haven’t helped to rebook - just directed to their terrible website where you have to click on each location to see availability. It’s supposed to be a high end service and the quality of the manicure/pedicure is dire, and the customer service is also dreadful. They’ve just opened to investors - you’d be mad to invest in this. Won’t be too long until all of these close in my opinion because the services are poor quality and the customer service is poor.
Update: it’s now been 5 hours of back and forth with their customer service via WhatsApp who don’t seem to have a clue what is going on or the ability to actually read. You learn most about a company when things go wrong. Avoid!

Yes it is a bit more money than other places and what you might want in a pedicure treatment (eg moisturiser, foot scrub, nice sudsy water) cost extra. But instead you get a nice ambiance and service.

This was my first visit to Townhouse, and I couldn’t be more impressed.
I had a mani-pedi with Michaela and Zaina, and they were both absolutely wonderful. Such friendly, professional, and incredibly skilled individuals! They made the whole experience so relaxing with great conversation and attention to detail.
The salon itself is stunning. It is beautifully designed, spotless, and with such a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Everything about the visit felt thoughtful and high-quality.
I genuinely had the best experience and would highly recommend Michaela and Zaina to anyone looking for a little self-care treat! I will definitely be back!

I have been to Townhouse several times for a Luxury Gel Manicure at the St James salon. Been super happy until the last two times.
After one week of getting my manicure, the gel just started peeled off in sheets, taking layers of my natural nail with it. I was abroad on my hen-do and there was nothing I could do but deal with scabby looking nails and peeling gel polish that kept catching on my clothes and hair (tore one nail horribly).
The first time I put it down to a one-off and let it go. The second time, my nails were left brittle, thin and paper-like. I got the nails done April 4 and by April 10 they were peeling away. Again, it happened after only one week. This time I really hurt coming off.
When I raised the issue I was offered a credit towards a removal and reapplication, but given how my nails have deteriorated since the offer and that this had now happened twice I simply do not trust the salon to do a good job and declined. I have requested a refund (that’s two botched manicures at £64 a pop) but I only wanted asked to be refunded the last one, but they don’t do that apparently.
To make matters worse, I am one month away from my wedding and my nails are in a terrible state. I decided to cancel my bridal nail appointments for me and my friends at the Town House. I won’t be going back.
My nails really hurt and are just falling apart. I don’t know if it’s the product or application. It’s a shame because the ladies working there are super nice.
