STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. AVOID AT ALL COST. Where do I even start with my experience with them..If I could give 0 stars I would. I hired this company over a month ago to take care of some old claims that were lingering as well as take over verifying eligibility for new patients since I recently credentialed with some new carriers. From the very beginning, they swore to me they were "specialists" in medical billing - and I specifically asked if they worked with dietitians, because our billing process is a bit different. They said absolutely. They told me about all the "teams" and "specialists" they had including "code scrubbers"? who made sure proper codes were being used. First we had to onboard which actually never got 100% done. There was a random guy in India texting my cell number directly asking me for verification codes to get into my CRM at random times of the day. I told him we had to set up a call multiple times, but the texts continued as well as emails. When I wouldn't answer within a few minutes he would respond "hello? Are you there? I need the code" and got really weird and pushy. Long story short, he never got into the CRM so zero work was actually done. I also asked for verification of a few new patients so I could begin working with them. The responses were INSANE. I was getting replies that my patients with amazing PPO insurance could not be verified because of "x, y, z policy with medicare Type B"??? that the company rep was copying and pasting from random internet searches. This happened multiple times and if I listened to his advice I would have lost patients because of the incorrect info that was given. I had to constantly oversee and call to verify that every piece of info this company was giving me was correct and it never was. After a while, the rep overseeing onboarding started getting an attitude, because I was calling them out on all the misinformation I was receiving. He started making up rules like "no company can check eligibility using CPT codes or diagnosis codes, not just us" which is also incorrect. He told me they couldn't verify how many appointments were covered or what duration for any patient (again, not just a "them" problem.. this was policy overall) like I wouldn't know the difference. Ultimately I gave my 60 days notice and the entire team disappeared. Eventually I got an email saying THEY were terminating the contract because I didn't have enough patients for it to be financially beneficial for them to keep working with me. LOLLLLL! Last sketchy thing - they all have made up American names like "Max" and "Nathan" but their email addresses are Indian names and I'm pretty sure this is just a call center in India who have no clue about American insurance policies. Just an educated guess on that one. Stay away from them. Do not waste your time or money and pay a bit more for a company who knows what they're doing.
