I strongly recommend avoiding RCI / TravNow / Holidays.
I was sold a “travel membership” under high-pressure conditions and later realized the financial commitment was nowhere near as simple or beneficial as it was presented. Within days of signing, I attempted to cancel and received little to no meaningful response or assistance.
What’s worse is that the membership is tied to a high-interest financing agreement, and instead of addressing the dispute or honoring early cancellation attempts, the responsibility is pushed around between the seller and the financing company. It feels intentionally designed to make it difficult for customers to get out once they realize what they signed.
The value proposition is extremely questionable:
* Monthly fees + long-term financing
* Limited real-world savings compared to public travel sites
* Complicated booking structure
* Poor customer support when issues arise
This business model feels predatory. Customers are pressured into signing, then left dealing with contracts and financing that don’t match what was explained during the sales process.
This experience has been frustrating, stressful, and time-consuming. If you’re considering this, take a step back and do your research—there are far better and more transparent ways to book travel without locking yourself into a long-term contract.
