We started using Tugs dog food for…

We started using Tugs dog food for Annabell and I honestly couldn’t be happier. She’s a very fussy eater and usually turns her nose up at most foods, but she absolutely loves this. One of the Tuggs team recommended gently warming it up and it goes down a treat every time. From the first bowl she was excited at mealtimes, which is a first for us. The quality is great and it’s so reassuring to finally find something she enjoys and actually finishes. I’d highly recommend Tugs to anyone with a picky pup. 🐾

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH MELANIE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I had cancelled my subscription with Tuggs; After receiving a notification from DPD saying they are expecting my order, I contacted Tuggs customer service to say that the order had been cancelled and it should not be dispatched.

I spoke to Melanie in customer service who, despite me tell that I was in hospital with a dying relative and that I wouldn't be able to accept the order. Spoke abruptly over me throughout the whole conversation, said the order had already been collected and said there was nothing she can do. She even said "IF YOUR RELATIVE IS IN CRITICAL CARE MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET BACK. TO THEM"
I asked if I could speak to a manager and she hung up on me.

I spoke with DPD to ask if the parcel had been collected and they said it hadn't and it would not be until tomorrow morning. So Tuggs could cancel the collection and call them back.

I then called back Tuggs and because I was calling off my mobile Melanie did not answer. I have screen shots 20 minutes the call was left in total. I called from another number whilst my phone was still on hold and was called back by Melanie within minutes.

The second she realised it was me calling she immediately proceeded to talk over me abruptly "I told you there is nothing else I can do" "you don't listen" etc again, I have screen shots of DPD confirming the delivery has not been collected as not scanned into the system. She said they are lying and theres nothing she could do .. all I wanted was the food to not be shipped an wasted. She didn't even double check with their warehouse if what DPD said was true.

This person should not be dealing with customers or at least have further training. As a customer asking for help (especially at a time you are vulnerable and exhausted) to receive belligerent and extremely unhelpful is so upsetting.

I will not order from them again. Kindness and understanding go so far, I wouldn't want my company represented by someone like this.

Thank you for taking the time to share this — we’re genuinely very sorry to read about your experience, and first and foremost, our thoughts are with you during what sounds like an incredibly difficult and upsetting time with your family.

We would, however, like to clarify an important point. At the time of your call, your order had already passed its cancellation cut-off and entered our dispatch process. While tracking information may not yet have shown a physical scan by DPD, the order was already locked within our warehouse system. In these situations, there is unfortunately nothing further our customer service team can do to stop or amend the shipment, and Melany was communicating this accurately.

Melany was acting in line with our policies and the operational reality of perishable, made-to-order food. She was not withholding help, but rather explaining the genuine limitations we face once an order reaches that stage. We appreciate that this is frustrating, particularly given your personal situation, but the information you were given was correct.

That said, we always aim to communicate with empathy and care, and we’re sorry if the conversation felt stressful or upsetting. We will continue to support our team in handling emotionally charged situations with compassion while being transparent about what is and isn’t possible.

So far so good!

It’s early days but my dog does seem to like the food…he’s very fussy so I’m relieved to have found something that he doesn’t turn his nose up at! Very good customer service from the team too! 😊

My dog became very ill because of…

My dog became very ill because of eating their food. No option to opt out of products containing fish and all their products contain fish - when signing up there are no instructions or warnings of this, other companies do have this during their process. When asked if they could change theirs in up process to alert people to fish content I was told I should have read the ingredients first. Customer service was condescending and they clearly value profit over product.

To clarify, all of our ingredients are listed clearly and transparently on our website, including salmon oil, which is used in some of our recipes for its nutritional benefits. That said, we appreciate your feedback around the sign-up experience, and we agree there’s an opportunity to make this clearer upfront. As a result of feedback like yours, we’re reviewing how we can add salmon oil as a clearly flagged allergen during the sign-up process, to help customers make informed choices more easily.

We’re sorry if our previous communication came across as condescending — that’s certainly not how we aim to support our customers, and we’ll take this on board internally.

The Best Fresh Food On The Market

We have two extremely fussy dogs. A 9 year old cockapoo (also suffers from anal gland issues and ear infections) and a 3 year old sprocker (also anal gland issues and a very sensitive stomach). We had tried every food imaginable from cheap to extremely expensive kibble, to kibble and wet mixed, to raw and other fresh food brands. None of which has worked for us as they refused foods and in some cases made our dogs ill. We have spent a small fortune trying to find a food that works for us, then finally we saw Tuggs. We thought we will do our research, look at the reviews, look at the all about dog food score and in the end decided we will give it a go as we have nothing to loose and ordered the 7 day trial. This food has been a game changer for us. Finally we have dogs looking forward to meal times, licking bowls clean every meal and as owners we can finally relax knowing they are eating well and more importantly getting high quality food that contains all the ingredients they need to flourish. We will never change now and any future dogs will always be raised on Tuggs

Great company

This food was on the cheaper side in comparison to similar companies and had really great ratings only thing I will say is the food can sometimes be watery after it’s been defrosted and also it takes up a lot of space in your freezer

Cockerpoo Gut Issues Solved!

I joined Tuggs whilst at my wits end dealing with my dog's sensitive tummy issues for years. I read the reviews and thought why not have a go. Now, my dog has been on Tuggs for nearly 2 years with no problems and he has put on 500g since joining! He is very much a happy and healthy dog and we will continue with Tuggs as it is working for us.

5 Stars from our dog Merlin!

This is the only food our very fussy Bedlington Whippet will eat! We’ve tried two other fresh pet food brands and this one gives him the most settled tummy, he also seems to really enjoy it, especially the beef and pork flavours. I also love how sustainable the food is!

So far so good

So far so good. We’ve used Bella and Duke in the past but it was too expensive to maintain and some of the flavours didn’t agree with our dog. Tuggs has a decent variety which at present is keeping our boy interested in his food. He’s very fussy so time will tell how this plays out. Overall we’re just happy to see him go straight to his bowl when we serve it up for him.
