Union Bank has the worst banking communication services ever
Union Bank is one of the banks with worst and unbearable attitude in communication and customer service. The Bank wastes the callers' time in waiting and waiting and waiting and hearing its never-ending in-house promos starting with the never-ending "...your current estimated time is more than 15 mins..." until caller's call is dropped. This bank's communication services, in my opinion, is deceiving. No one actually attends to the customer on line. And the branches phone numbers are not answered. They are arrogant and treat their callers like their peasants. The phones just keep on ringing, remain unanswered until it's dropped or the caller drops it after the very long wait. I get the impression that they really want the customers to go to the bank to inform them of the concerns in person. They act like gods. The worst banking communication I've experienced ever. This bank needs a good brand manager.

Unionbank has the worst customer service. For context, I requested for the Statement of Account to settle my loan balance but after 2 months of requesting they still haven't provided the SOA. Their collecting agency informed me that the interest of my loan is accumulating daily. I think the Unionbank is purposely delaying the release of my SOA so the interest will keep on increasing daily. All of their agents are incompetent, you can read a lot of complains for their service on different socmed.

I've been using UnionBank for more than 2 years now and it's for my monthly salary for my homebased job. The process of opening the account was easy and all transactions made was on time. Not until they acquire Citibank, I noticed that every month my remittance got delayed. And just today Sept 12, 2024, I still haven't received my salary that was paid through Wire transfer by my employer since Sept. 9, 2024. They've also conducted a Digital Account Transaction Verification without any prior notice. And it resulted to my account on hold and everything was messed up! I would understand if they have an easy access to their customer service, but it's not the case! This is the worst bank ever! I will definitely close my account once I receive my salary this week! This is the worst! I will go back to my Metrobank account and have them my money! UnionBank I hope that your bank will be close soon!!!

Debited twice for a single transaction
Online payments were seemless and fast and secure except this time when they debited me twice for a single transaction last July 1, 2024. I reached out to unionbank 3 times after confirming with my biller that only 1 payment transaction pushed through, to get the second reversed but until now no definite actions were done. They say i need to wait two days to dispute payments like this but hey its already 5 days from the date of transaction. And 3 tries asking for help from them. Unionbank ano na.

UNIONBANK IS USELESS. THEY ARE VERY UNRELIABLE ESPECIALLY THEIR QUICKLOAN. I WAS OFFERED A QUICKLOAN OF 174K++ LAST APRIL 15, 2023 AND IT WAS AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE BUT I DIDN'T AVAIL IT BECAUSE I STILL DON'T NEED THE MONEY AT THAT TIME AND THEIR CHARGES ARE ABSURD. IMAGINE THEY WILL GIVE YOU 174K++ BUT YOU'LL ONLY RECEIVE 150K AND YOU HAVE TO PAY IT BACK 200K++ IN JUST 1 YEAR. NOW THEY ARE NOT OFFERING ANY QUICKLOAN WHATSOEVER. WHAT A FVCKIN JOKE THIS UNIONBANK IS. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS STUPID SHlTTY BANK.
I rarely have issues with the bank BUT
I rarely have issues with the bank, but when I experienced one, it was so hassle, took long to answer the customer service phone, filing a ticket on the mobile app is not working, always on hold, not even answering or takes weeks or months before they answer on their customer service email! Super disappointed with the customer service. They heavily rely on their mobile app but filing a ticket inside the app has issues as well! For future customers, I advise you to avoid this bank if you don't want to experience the way they are handling their customer issues.
IF they could improve the speed of resolving issues, time to answer the phone promptly, I could change this in the future. But as of now, I would stay away from this bank. Consider other banks with good customer service performance.
