I was looking for a replacement prop for my Mercury 150HP but didn't want to drop $500+ at the local marina. Found VIF and decided to give them a shot. Honestly, the fit and finish are great. It bolted right on and performs just like the original. Save a ton of money and the shipping was surprisingly fast.
The photos on the website don't do the stainless steel props justice-they look amazing in person. Put this on my Yamaha 225 and it's a beast. One star off because the box was a bit beat up by the carrier, but the prop was protected well inside. Definitely a high-end product at a very fair direct-to-consumer price.
Ordered a stainless prop for my Suzuki 200hp. It's been in the salt for three months now and still looks great. The only reason for 4 stars is that the tracking number took a day to update, but the prop actually arrived earlier than expected! Very impressed with the quality and the price compared to what I've seen elsewhere.
They let me send back a prop that has been used once. I had ordered wrong size. Nobody does that! Purchased 3 more!
Decided to try a 4-blade aluminum for my Mercury 115hp to help with holeshot. The guys at the Orange office were super helpful when I messaged them with a question. The delivery from California to Texas was surprisingly fast. My boat gets on place so much fast now. If you're looking for a performance boost, just get it here.
I've been burned by "universal" props before, so I was cautious. But buying direct from VIFprop was a different story. The specs for my Suzuki were spot on. It slid right onto the shaft perfectly. I really appreciate how clear the product description are on the site - it makes buying parts online much less stressful.
Wrong hub and props come with no nut nor the proper place to seat the hub to the shaft. Tried to return but got no response for months. Finally they contact and apologize for the delay. They issue me a return on the falsely described items but provide no shipping labels. It was going to cost me 2/3 what I paid with shipping to get them returned so I have some interesting paperweights for the RV but no props for my boat! Will never do business with these Charleston’s again. Everything about this Chinese knock off is sketchy. The props are very cheaply manufactured and very fragile. They are not balanced well and vibrate your shaft and gears. If you want to buy a new lower unit for your motor use these props.
