Bought 2 Wasabi Spicy Korean Chicken…
Bought 2 Wasabi Spicy Korean Chicken for myself and my son. Rather expensive and very, very disappointed. It was really bland/tasteless and 3 pieces of chicken in it, actually it was really poor quality chicken, fatty and very tasteless. Will not wasting my money on any Wasabi product again.
Won’t be buying Wasabi meals again.
Bought the Wasabi Chicken Teriyaki and the Yakisoba noodles to try. I won’t be doing that again. I could count the very small pieces of chicken on one hand, smothered in a very poor teriyaki sauce. The yakisoba noodles were very bland. My wife and I threw most of it away. Very disappointing. Sorry I couldn’t give zero stars.

Disgusting and literally had 1 piece of beef in my meal
Chewy chicken
Just tried the chicken Katsu curry. Absolutely disgusting. Chicken is all chewy and grizzly and not a fan of the curry sauce. Probably the worst convenience meal I've ever bought and a complete waste of £4.80
Absolutely terrible.
Absolutely terrible. Just tried the wasabi bento and couldn't believe how disgusting their stuff is, for Japanese cooks they should be ashamed of themselves. Rice is soggy and tasteless. Chicken is just wet and the sauce vile. Never buy anything from them again.
I purchased a Wasabi BBQ beef meal
I purchased a Wasabi BBQ beef meal, as I like tasty food. Taste is didn't have, none!!!! Bland and tasteless. I could have done better myself. I won't be buying this brand again.
Spicy Korean chicken
I had the spicy Korean chicken. Terrible meal. For the price they charge you get mostly bland rice and very little soggy chicken. Thoroughly disappointed.
What on earth causes the drop in quality
I used to love these, particularly their Korean beef and the sweet chilli chicken. But the quality has drastically dropped recently, there was more fat than meat in my latest one, and it’s just disappointing. No longer worth it.
Chicken tariyaki with virtually no chicken
Bought a meal at the Co-op; it contained very little chicken. Contacted Jane at the company and she said they would provide replacement meal vouchers but never did.
After this she refused to reply to my emails asking what was going on. Unprofessional and highly disappointing. UPDATE - has just replied and says they are on their way. If received I will of course delete this review :)
Tough as old boots................. Korean BBQ beef
Bought Koren BBQ beef and rice from Sainsburys. Looked very good on the face of it. When I served it up on a plate there was one piece of beef, albeit quite big plus a few small off cuts the size of little finger nails. The large piece was disgusting, tough, fatty, grissly and now I know where the expression "tough as old boots" came from... Wasabi! The sauce was tasty enough but too many red peppers and onion. The rice was good though. Definitely not worth the prices they charge.
Wasabi Sushi & Bento

Ordering food and two staff were talking to each other making jokes about drugging people’s food and related topics right in front of customers, not at all appropriate for food service and was shocking to hear.
WARNING!! Disgustingly inedible Sainsbury's Wasabi Yakisoba vegetable noodles…
Sainsbury's Wasabi Yakisoba vegetable noodles - vile smelling & looking - brown coloured, rotting (not fermented) lumps of decaying brown cabbage polluting a few peas & half a portion of soba noodles - apparently unfit for human & animal consumption & even unfit to put in the bin - an appalling insult to normally fine Japanese cookery. The lesson - don't let disappointing Sainsbury's anywhere near Japanese cookery & be suspicious of their other products :-(
Wasabi slop
Wasabi slop. Five noodles and a ton of onions and peas. Tasteless and horrible vegetable gyoza. I had these about 2 years ago and they were delicious. Not anymore. Not sure what changed but I will never buy again. And I eat almost anything. Avoid is my best advice.
Tiny amount of protein
Tiny amount of protein. Smaller than a hamburger patty. Rice ok but katsu curry sauce tastes synthetic and sour. Poor in additives
Always empty fridge
Fourth time in a row I’ve come to the Kingston branch to buy a salmon wasabi sushi roll and it’s not available. Last visit was around 1 pm, yet the store closes at 7:30 pm. The sushi fridge is very often almost empty, even during the day.
Poor stock management and very disappointing for a branch that should be fully stocked during opening hours. I’ve wasted multiple trips and am starting to avoid this location altogether.
It may be convenient but it’s not cheap and it’s not good.
Visited Waterloo station wasabi, and while I can forgive that this is a station venue, there’s no excuse for the microwaved mush I was served. Completely downhill in terms of quality of offer and quality of food. Really sad that this is yet another chain outlet chasing profit by reducing value to the consumer. Won’t be heading back and there’s so many better independent offerings on the high street. It may be convenient but it’s not cheap and it’s not good.
Avoid Luton’s wasabi.
At Luton airport they didn’t want to sell unless we didn’t eat in the restaurant. 25 minutes before closing she said “we’re closing down, you can’t eat here”. Such an appalling person.
Gone completely down hill
Gone completely down hill. Half potion sizes and removed fresh bento from Victoria station. Wouldn't surprise me if someone's out the back microwaving the Tesco versions. Killed one of the good ones. Shame.
Wasabi used to be great
Wasabi used to be great, but it's turned into an Itsu clone where everything is just some variation on avocado and salmon. It's so tediously bland. They used to do an amazing Tokyo set with spicy salmon nigiri, katsu chicken and several types of maki. There used to a huge range of individual nigiri, gunkan and so on. No tasteless avocado mush in sight. Such a shame, oh and the prices are now absurd. Best part of £20 for lunch!?
Best part of the meal was scraping into…
Best part of the meal was scraping into the bin. We feel so depressed now. It’s ruined my hot date. My smokeshow of a date now isn’t feeling the vibe. Thanks a lot. The 70% onion 🧅 has given her tummy ache. And an impending sense of DOOM!!!!! Depression in a bowl. That was yaki so bad
