Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear the end of the threshold remained twisted when you came to install it.
Because Weather Defender is supplied in lengths of up to several metres, it has to be coiled for shipping. The seal is made from a thick, marine-grade PVC rather than a softer rubber, which gives it its long-term durability but also means it can retain some of the curve from being packed.
We normally recommend unrolling the threshold and leaving it flat for around 24 hours before installation, ideally with some weight on the ends if required, to allow it to settle back into shape.
We’re glad you had enough length to complete the installation, although we appreciate that having to cut part of it away was frustrating. One of the reasons we use this more substantial material is its durability, which is why Weather Defender thresholds are covered by our lifetime guarantee.

Garage door seal
The seal arrived and was easy to bond onto the garage floor. The instructions were clear and I now have a weather proofed garage floor free from rain, leaves and other flying objects. Thankyou .

The rubber strip which improves the…
The rubber strip which improves the seal on my garage door seems to be very good. It was easy to install. I was hoping to get a better seal around the door, allowing my dehumidifier to be more effective where my car is stored over winter. It has helped but I need to do more yet as there is still a draft around the top and sides of the door. But the weather defender is good for the bottom of the door.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience - we’re really pleased to hear the Weather Defender strip feels like a quality product and that you found it easy to install.
It’s great to know it’s already helped improve the seal along the bottom of the door and supported your dehumidifier setup over winter. You’re absolutely right though: if there’s still a draught at the top and sides, that will typically be coming from the perimeter seals (side/top weatherstrips) or small gaps around the frame rather than the threshold area.
If you’d like, reply to us with a couple of photos of the door closed from the outside (including the top corners) and we’ll gladly point you in the right direction on what to adjust or add to improve the overall seal.

We chose the XL because the gap under…
We chose the XL because the gap under the garage door was uneven. It has completely solved the problem and we now have a space we can use without having to mop it out first. The team was immediately responsive with tracking information. A great job all round

We never got to see the product as next…
We never got to see the product as next day delivery failed twice and we had to chase an answer on both occasions. Sadly had to cancel order and go elsewhere. Elsewhere was much better.

The weather defender was OK to fit
The weather defender was OK to fit. You need a hacksaw rather than a knife to cut and trim. Do make sure though the door is correctly positioned and secured before applying adhesive as once stuck it's stuck

We bought 25mm high strip to sit garage side of opening barn doors to stop mice and weather getting in.
You can easily cut the strip to work around the door frame, and drill through it for drop down bolts.
