Like other reviewers, I've had the misfortune of being forced to use these muppets after choosing a will through the Goodwill Partnership.

Received a letter saying that they had received our wills and were storing them - I had no idea who this company was and when calling the number to find out had a 15 minute conversation with someone - ONLY to be told they were a messaging service and someone else would try and call back within 48 hours...!

And then discovered I was charged £4.75 as the number was PREMIUM RATE.

Absolutely scandalous.

I would give them 0 stars if I could . Do not have you wills written by these people. My partner had our wills written but after being told that the changes I wanted to my will were not possible and I was told to go elsewhere. I have been trying to get our original wills back but they do not respond or promised phone calls are not made. To add insult to injury they want £30 for the privilege of sending us our badly not fit for purpose wills. There number is a premium number which I found out to my cost of £14.

my father has recently passed away and this company holds his will. despite many calls made to them on their premium rate number they refuse to provide a copy of this will.
This is disgusting behavior towards a bereaved family

They have set up a standing order on my account which I knew nothing about until I checked my account just now. It says that a solicitor visits your home. I have had no solicitor visit my home so claiming money under false pretences.

one star as i cannot select zero starts. i have had my will with them for 6years now made amendments pervious and trying to make amendments again only to be told they will not do the changes and i should go somewhere else. its a simple change. i have had no explanation from them despite asking about why the change cannot be made. very annoying avoid at all costs! rude and unhelpful person Jo-Ann in particular AVOID

My Will was done in 2022 via the Goodwill Partnership. Welcare Guardian provided a panel solicitor in the usual way. As I now need to update my Will, I checked the procedure... and found out that the firm of solicitors was summarily closed down by the regulator in December 2023. Nobody bothered to inform me. Needless to say I have cancelled my Welcare Guardian membership. Please learn from my experience: do NOT use this company!!

Avoid at all costs. Contacted Welcare Guardian to request a copy of my sisters will when she passed away. Called 5 times over 2 weeks and each time I was told someone would call me back within 24 hours. Prompted to write this review as on the last call with them, I got cut off and when I tried calling back, I kept getting a message saying "the number you have dialled is temporarily out of service". To ad insult to injury, calling Guardian Welcare costs 65 per minute from a mobile, so I have incurred approximately £15 worth of call charges and still waiting for a call back. Losing a loved one is a stressful situation and this just adds to the stress. AVOID.

I had a Will with this company for some years, updated in 2009. I had reason to revisit my Will again recently, so I contacted them by phone. Unfortunately although I provided all the information from the correspondence from 2009. It seemed that they could not trace my Will. Promised to contact within 48 hrs. I waited a week phoned again, same result. After 3 weeks phoned again in order to make complaint. Eventually an advisor did ring me & advised that the executors named in my will no longer existed, & she would try & find out where my will was. After another week ,I received an email & call giving a solicitors name & a reference number and a PIN number . Told me to contact at a telephone number supplied. I rang the number asked to be contacted, and gave all the details required. I am still waiting for a response. I have since taken out a new Will with a firm local to me, all completed & done efficiently in two weeks including a bank holiday.
