Emma from Well Polished has been cleaning for my elderly dad for several years now and has been brilliant. She gets everything done in the allotted time and does a great job.
She’s also great company for him when she’s there.

Reliable and thorough I would definitely recommend Well Polished.

Absolute disgrace, sent a girl out with no hoover , cleaning materials i go get some no cancel to another date . Finally starts 2 hour job text me because i got out the way feeble excuse gota pick sister up . Done an hour paid her for two , dont want the job now . If they dont want to arsed wat are they in the job for ? Joke proper shite.

Unfortunately, we've decided to cancel our contract after trying two different cleaners from this agency.

Our first cleaner was actually very thorough, but we ultimately lost confidence due to repeated issues around punctuality, the time spent at the property and trust. We have a door camera that records arrival and departure times, so these were not matters of opinion. To the agency's credit, they assigned us a different cleaner, and we genuinely hoped the experience would improve.

Unfortunately, it did not.

Our latest appointment was booked as a weekly three-hour clean, starting at 2:00 pm. The cleaner left after approximately two hours, explaining that everything had been completed in our three-bedroom house.

After she left, I walked around the property and immediately found multiple areas that had clearly not been cleaned, including dead insects on the bathroom floor, hairs left in the sink, dust and stains still visible on the office desk and shelving, leaves remaining on the carpet and rug, and breadcrumbs left on the kitchen floor. I have photographs of all of these, which I'll attach to the google review as TrustPilot does not allow to attach photos.

The cleaner also commented that the house would be easy to clean because we'd been away. We don't have children or pets, yet I still had to spend time cleaning the house myself immediately afterwards.

This has been particularly disappointing because we've recently experienced two family bereavements and I've also undergone major surgery. We hired a cleaning service specifically to reduce stress during a very difficult period, but instead we found ourselves having to inspect and reclean the property after the weekly scheduled cleaning.

After two separate experiences with this agency, we no longer have confidence in the consistency or reliability of the service and have therefore cancelled our contract.

Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this agency.

Writing from my own experience as a cleaner for Well Polished, I can honestly say my only regret is not joining the company sooner!

I came across Well Polished on Indeed when I was around 8 weeks into maternity leave and decided to apply to top up my income. The biggest selling point for me was the flexibility to work around my own schedule, which was incredibly important as I adjusted to life as a new mum. Being able to choose hours that fit around my family has made such a difference, and it’s given me the perfect work-life balance.

Alex is an absolute pleasure to work for. She is always friendly, approachable, and quick to respond whenever I have a question or need support. No question ever feels too silly, and she’s always patient and happy to help which has been especially reassuring with the occasional “baby brain” moments! It’s so refreshing to work for someone who genuinely cares about their cleaners and wants them to succeed.

The whole experience has been positive from the very beginning. Communication is excellent, clients are matched thoughtfully, and I’ve always felt valued and supported. I would highly recommend Well Polished to anyone looking for flexible work with a company that truly looks after its team.

I’ve been using this cleaning company for over a year now, and they’ve been consistently excellent. They’re always reliable, punctual, and do a thorough job every time. It’s such a nice feeling coming home to a clean, fresh house, and I really appreciate the attention to detail they put into every visit.

Initially we had a deep clean of my disabled sister’s apartment, which went well - so we asked to have the same cleaner on a regular basis. Unfortunately the cleaner gave up cleaning - not the fault of WellPolished but since then communication has been dreadful. I want to chat about a replacement cleaner before booking (sister is autistic and needs someone who understands her ‘quirks’) - WellPolished say they will call me, but don’t do so. Will be looking elsewhere now.

I would not recommend this company!

Although they were able to provide a cleaner at short notice for a deep clean of a large residential property, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and fell well below expectations.

The cleaner arrived late without any communication or courtesy call to explain the delay. Even more concerning, after entering the property, she covered the home’s security cameras. When questioned, she claimed it was accidental, but the CCTV footage appeared to show that the cameras were deliberately covered. This immediately raised serious concerns about professionalism and trust.

One of the most upsetting aspects of the experience was discovering that my Bible had been thrown into the bin without my knowledge or consent. Regardless of whether this was intentional or accidental, I found it highly disrespectful and completely unacceptable. Personal belongings, particularly items of religious significance, should always be treated with care and respect.

Before the appointment, the company advised that the allotted time might not be enough to clean the entire property thoroughly, so we agreed to prioritise key areas, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. Despite this, these rooms were left in an unacceptable condition. There were still crumbs on the floor, skirting boards had not been cleaned, surfaces were not cleaned properly, a bucket of dirty water was left behind, and there was an unpleasant lingering smell after the cleaner had left. Overall, the cleaning lacked attention to detail and did not meet the standard expected from a professional deep-cleaning service.

My dealings with Ally were equally disappointing. Rather than handling my concerns professionally, I found her communication to be dismissive, rude, and unhelpful. My concerns about the quality of the cleaning and the cleaner’s conduct were not addressed appropriately, and there appeared to be little accountability or willingness to resolve the issues. Instead of acknowledging my concerns or offering a meaningful resolution, I was left feeling that my complaint was not taken seriously.

The standard of cleaning fell well below what was advertised and expected. Combined with the cleaner’s poor attention to detail, the handling of my personal belongings, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service, this experience caused unnecessary stress and disappointment. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again or recommend their services to others.

Great service from Mark to arrange a deep clean of my apartment. Booking process was smooth and Kalina was very professional and did a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend this company!

Alex at Well Polished in Lancaster has been really helpful getting me set up with a regular cleaner, excellent communication and clear cost guidelines. Had my first clean yesterday and had an unprompted compliment from my friend in the evening saying the bathroom had never been so clean. Really appreciate the hard work Martha put in, she was lovely and really efficient.

Well Polished has been very easy to communicate with and has provided consistently high standards of staff. We have used Well Polished for the last three months and we have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Well-polished were able to provide a cleaner on short notice to tackle the deep-clean of a large residential property. Overall they did an adequate job, however the cleaner was quite unprofessional in her conduct. She did not arrive at the agreed time and did not get in touch to communicate her delay. After entering, she covered up security cameras in the home and claimed this was accidental, however the footage shows that she acted deliberately.

The company advised that the timeframe selected might not be sufficient to cover all areas adequately, and so we agreed to prioritise certain rooms such as the kitchen and the bathroom. However, these rooms were not cleaned to a high standard. Crumbs were left on the floor, the skirting boards were not cleaned, and a bucket of dirty water was left behind, as well as a lingering odour.

Overall, the cleaner brought up the standard of the property, but the lack of professionalism caused some serious headaches on our side and we were disappointed that the final result was not better.

We've just had our first clean with Well Polished and we were very pleasantly surprised at the amount of work completed in the 3 hours and the finish was very thorough thanks to Evilene and Alice for Coordinating. Arrival was reliably prompt and i valued the cleaning tips she had to offer to help us. Thanks again and i look forward to our next clean!
