No Title Release
I havent’t received my vehicle title or lien release after 5 months of the loan being paid off! No answer from them and after paid off the sent me a “refund” of $79 that I can only get by creating a credit/debit account with them! That needs to be investigated. Seems like a scam.
If you're trying to buy a car and you…
If you're trying to buy a car and you hear the car lot say they go through. West lake financial, just get up and leave. West lake financial is the worst company that you could ever deal with.
You can never reach a representative
and they will counsel you're contract without any realistic warning at a drop of a dime. This is by far the worst financial company that you could ever deal with. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They truly suck!!!
No Help! Poor customer service!
I do not like the fact that I cannot speak to a person. I have tried several different numbers.... you CANNOT talk to a person! That is crazy! I have a situation that needs explanation, I need to talk to a person! I refuse to work with this finance company again!
If you hear their name, just walk away!
If you're trying to finance a car and, at any point, the dealer says, "Westlake Financial," just walk away! End the deal right there, don't buy, just get up from the chair and walk out!
Otherwise, you're going to have a completely miserable experience talking to one AnswerBot after another, and you MIGHT (but probably won't) talk to a human if the planets align, and that human is going to have a rotten attitude and give you nothing but non-answers until they blow you off.
I got a 2017 Ford Escape from Brinson Ford of Athens, Texas last year (and don't worry, THEIR review is coming too), but the Escape turned out to be an absolute lemon with a neverending series of mechanical problems and failures, starting with gear-shifting that I can only describe as "violent" and adding more from there. Therefore, that Escape is now a $10,000 lawn ornament, it's not going ANYWHERE because it's losing so much antifreeze that, if I don't carry several jugs of antifreeze in the Escape and stop to refill the reservoir every ten miles or so, the engine will burn up, and replacing the engine would cost more than the entire Escape is worth! But will Brinson Ford and/or Westlake Financial let me out of this bad deal? NOPE! So now I'm stuck with this Escape that I can't drive anywhere, and all I can do now is to pay off the remaining $9,000 or so that I'm stuck paying off Westlake, so that I can FINALLY sell the Escape to a scrapyard and recover a small fraction of my losses.
Friends don't let friends deal with Westlake Financial. And you can consider me your friend, because Westlake sure as Hades isn't!

Would not except the fact that a product was defective and refused to replace it with similar item. Pressured for payment that was refused because of defects. 4 months later stole the item and 1 month later sold the item. Expect to still get paid by party for defective item
This is the worst car loan company ever…
This is the worst car loan company I've ever experienced. They have been misleading and opened several small claims on me with more interest, during my personal relationship and hardship and business goals. Find another trusted well branded company. Thank you but unfortunately this company wasn't for me. I won't be returning in the future.
Absolute fuckery to try to even speak…
Absolute fuckery to try to even speak to a human with this company. That reason alone should make you consider using a different financial company!
hard to make payments bad customer service
These people are ridiculous. I had to cosign my child's loan. they have all our financial info comingled, so if you call, they have the wrong name with the wrong social with wrong phone number etc. Then once you get past that, it's SO hard to make payments. If you make a payment outside the auto pay, you have to rekey everything. don't pay by phone -they claim we gave the wrong account number and are charging us an nsf fee - can't WAIT to be done with these people. Customer service rep literally said "here's the thing..." while talking to me. So unprofessional. Supervisor was equally incompetent and unprofessional.
The most horrible experience I ever…
The most horrible experience I ever had. It was a nightmare to apply for another financing paying attention to I'm a well known client who fully paid off my previous loan without any issues.
Still haven't received my total loss title.
Strongly do not recommend these guys.
Frustrating Experience with Credit…
Frustrating Experience with Credit Reporting and Fraud Dispute
I am sharing my experience with Westlake Financial regarding my auto loan account (ending in 0901) for my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition (VIN 1J4GW58J14C325116).
On November 2025 and again on February 13, 2026, I formally disputed this account due to documented "mileage discrepancies" and "odometer concerns". I provided supporting evidence including the vehicle title, odometer disclosure statement, purchase agreement, service records, and vehicle history reports.
I requested that Westlake pause negative credit reporting, mark the account as disputed with all credit reporting agencies, and conduct a thorough investigation.
As of February 20, 2026, I have not received a response, despite multiple follow-ups and submitting all requested documentation.
The account continues to negatively affect my credit report while it is under investigation with Experian, which has been very frustrating.
I have also filed complaints with regulatory authorities, including the CFPB, California Attorney General, and the FTC, due to the lack of timely resolution.
I am posting this review to alert other consumers about the potential delays and challenges in resolving disputes with Westlake Financial. I hope the company improves its processes and responsiveness for future customers.
If a student fails the class, it's their fault. If EVERYONE is a dumb POS, it's Westlake Financial Services.
No customer service. I would give a 0-star rating. There is definitely a management problem there; EVERYONE is incompetent.
My grandfather had a saying:
"If a student fails the class, it's their fault. If EVERYONE is a dumb POS, it's Westlake Financial Services."
Scam predatory & misleading tactics.
Seems like a total scam. My consulting sole proprietorship gets scam emails from them with an email “ noah….. @thehyperfunder. com that references a different financial group but that name redirects to a different name promptfundingsolution dot com
Which has the same address as Noah lists on the bottom of these scam emails - the same as Westlake.
3 supposed financial groups all at the Same address.. STAY AWAY
Absolutely horrible costumer service
Absolutely horrible costumer service. They bought my car loan from a different company, disregarded the autopay I had setup for years and failed to inform me that i was late on payments due to this. Towed my car without notification and did not inform me either. I reported it as stolen as I had no idea otherwise. Will not work with you to arrange payment to make up for THEIR mistake even after being told I am 100 PERCENT disabled and on fixed income. They did not care.
This company is fraudulent
Worst Company Ever
In 2019, I purchased a vehicle that was sold and financed for $15,300. I made a down payment of $1,500, leaving an estimated financed balance of $13,800. The loan term was five (5) years, with a fixed monthly payment of $548.
Over the full loan term of 60 months, I paid a total of approximately $32,880. This amount significantly exceeds the original financed balance and raises serious concerns regarding the interest rate applied, the accuracy of the loan disclosures, and whether the total cost of financing was properly explained to me at the time of purchase.
Based on the original loan terms, the account should have been paid in full by 2024. However, it is now 2026, and I am questioning whether my account was properly managed and whether I was charged amounts beyond what was contractually and legally justified. Stay away from Westlake Financial Company!!! This is the worst company ever! Use the bank instead!
I’ve had a really bad experience with…
I’ve had a really bad experience with this company they are incompetent and scammers other financial companies give you well over 60-90 days to make payments this company does not this company will accept your payment an still pick up your vehicle. Nothing about anyone that works for their customer service team has common sense they lack knowledge of companies procedures an lack experience they have no sympathy for customers at all they accept low credit because they know they are going to scam you in the long run I’ve had my vehicle for about 2 years an the interest is insane please no one should ever go through what I’ve had to go through please don’t accept their loan wait for another’s bank approval they suck!!!!!
Westlake is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Westlake is a company to avoid at all costs. Even after we clearly told them not to proceed, their agent went ahead and activated our account—and debited our funds without permission. This happened months after we had explicitly opted out. Charging a client without approval is unacceptable and shows they don’t care about basic ethics or professionalism.
What came after was even worse—endless delays, excuses, and flat-out refusal to refund the money they took without authorization. Their staff are irresponsible and unresponsive, and accountability is completely missing.
We strongly urge anyone to stay far away from this company to avoid unnecessary stress, financial loss, and wasted time.
This is the most difficult customer…
This is the most difficult customer support system to get in touch with ANYONE.
Try calling their service and you'll be taken into LOOPS of automations with no clear way to talk to a representative.
Specifically for their loan department. If you call their credit department to see if they can get you in touch with someone to help, they'll DENY you help because you're calling the WRONG department and mention it's "impossible" for them to connect you with an agent in another department. Lol this is ridiculous customer service! For lending money and offering credit, at least have a better human in the loop system vs these bullshit automations!
After doing some finger magic with punch numbers on the automated system I somehow thought I caught a break and got a hold of someone. Lol funny enough it was an AI ASSISTANT! You guys cracking me up. Her name was Taylor and I got quite acquainted with her until I called her out and asked directly if she's an AI and funny enough she admitted it!
After pushing forward with the AI Taylor, I got to speak with an agent. But damn, it took me a solid 25 minutes to get to that point and I consider myself someone highly technical. I can't imagine how hard it must be to reach a representative with a serious inquiry to speak to someone about an urgent matter who is elderly or non-technical.
Fix you stuff guys, this is embarrassing.
Anyone considering doing business with these people, here's your warning
Do not do business with this finance…
Do not do business with this finance company. It's one of the worst. They charge high interest rates, and if you happen to have any problems with damage to your vehicle, they will try to find any excuse not to cover the cost of the repairs. Their technicians who assess the damage are incompetent.
High interest rates
High interest rates. Lack of honesty and clarity in the contracts. Don't buy the GPS they offer; it's garbage. Poor and rude customer service.
