After pushing and waiting months with monovate to hear anything about my refund of Weswap funds I finally hear back... they are processing my refund of £2.61....i had around 150euros in my account, I do know the exact figure as I wasn't able to view my balance! Dreadful handling
About 3 months ago I went to log into the app to transfer some money, as I had an upcoming holiday booked.
I couldn't log in and done a password reset and still nothing. I went on their website to find further help and come to found out this company stopped operations on the 8/10/24.
I emailed Monovate as mentioned on the website on the 16/10/24
3/01/25 I have finally received my refund.
Minus a £2.50 processing fee ???
Initial response confirming receipt of Pers Data to initiate refund of funds held on swap card for years. No response to request of an update for timescale of return of funds made several weeks ago.
After several months and much pushing I finally received my refund from WeSwap/Monavate yesterday. The amount received for the three currencies held in my WeSwap account was close to what I had expected, but without knowing the exchange rates being applied and any fees deducted, an exact calculation is impossible. The refund process is slow, clunky and lacks transparency. Taken three months to sort out!
Still waiting on a refund, no visibility of value at stake, no transparency around the process and timescales, emails addressed to incorrect names containing different links to upload documents it currently feels like any credit will go to the wrong possibly fraudulent recipient. I would have given a 5 star review in the past, now I'm forced up to a single star.

Finally got a refund from this disgraceful company, had to contact the FCA, monovate are just as bad,poor communication, telling lies about when the refund will be done, just glad it's over, strongly recommend you stay away from both companys.

I cannot believe this has been going on for months have asked for my details still no money. I go on holiday in three weeks time or do I with no money? I won’t be going. I’ll have to cancel the holiday and then I will be taking this firm to court they leave us all in Limbo never answer emails. I’m worried sick talk about interfering with your mental health. I know it’s not possible to do everybody in the same day but at least they could send people out emails. as I say I’ve got three weeks until I go away and still nothing despite numerous emails. I’m worried sick making me ill I cannot believe that our British courts can let this go on. There’s thousands of us this affects.
I dont think anyone has received a refund from Monavate. I tried getting a refund but i couldn't from Monovate but Kajembren made my refund possible.Im saying this just trying to help my fellow users
I received an email that they had ceased the process and closed it down and you had to contact another service to get monies back. But they did state that people’s money was secure
I have had the same experience as everyone else here. No account access, etc.
However, I have finally just received a refund.
I emailed monovate a number of times but for the final time, I was complaining of how long this is taking, and I was told they could do a manual refund and I'd have it the same day, and I received my refund a few hours later.
Just thought this might help you guys that are still waiting.

Has anybody else been refunded? Completed the refund request on 18th September but still waiting.
Can't access my account, not receiving sms code. Sent multiple emails not one reply . Going to try the monavate refund process but not hopeful tbh. Who are the regulators for the company, can they be held to account . So many horror stories on here lots of people's money being held . Not good
Just letting you all know I got my refund today, hoping you all will as well. Writing this as I think it'll ease some worries over the situation for those still waiting. Have to say the communication, or lack there of, has made this whole thing way worse than it had to be.
Trying to log in on my phone... need an SMS to verify. ..SMS is not send... can't go any further and can not get to my money... If I do get through, I will take it all off and go somewhere else!
Like others, I have been unable to use my card and customer service is appalling. Euros tied up on card and no money as yet from Monovate, who I am continually chasing.
I would have thought this was terminal for Weswap, who are a total disgrace.

Cannot access my WeSwap app as it says it will send me a 6 digit confirmation code but doesn`t. I`ve tried emailing and leaving a voicemail but still no joy.
Contacted Monavate by email and they have asked for my personal details as well as the amounts in my WeSwap account, how can I tell you the amounts if I can`t get into the app to see what balances I had??
