Very disappointing experience with WhipMats

Unfortunately, my experience with WhipMats has been extremely disappointing.

I ordered car mats advertised as custom-made for my vehicle. When they arrived, the fit was poor and there were noticeable gaps around the edges. The overall quality was also much lower than I expected from the product shown and represented in their advertising. Once fitted, the mats made the interior of my car look untidy rather than giving it the clean, properly fitted appearance I expected.

I contacted WhipMats several times to explain the problem. They offered to send replacement mats, but I immediately told them that I did not want a replacement because I had lost confidence in the quality of the product and did not want to receive another set that I felt would have the same issues.

Despite repeatedly explaining my concerns, I feel that my main points were not properly addressed. Instead, the focus has been on the fact that the mats are “custom made” and on asking me to repay the money refunded by my bank.

My issue was never simply that I changed my mind. My issue was the poor fit, quality and appearance of the product I actually received compared with what I expected from the advertising.

I am happy to return the mats and have told them this, but I do not want replacement mats.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend WhipMats. I would strongly advise anyone considering ordering from them to carefully consider the quality, fit and what happens if you are unhappy with the product.

This review is based entirely on my personal experience and my correspondence with the company.

Love the mats they look great , fitted very well and easy to fit .
However was disappointed that the vehicle logo was not put on the mats after asking for ito be included on the purchase form.

Whipmats were very helpful, easy to follow website, I ordered front and back mats for my Vauxhall vectra, they came within the stated time. I followed their instructions and fitted them 5 days after delivery, very easy to fit and transformed my 20 year old car. I would recommend anyone to use Whipmats. Many thanks Mark 😊

They fitted perfectly and my daughter loves them especially the blue sparkly mats

In my experience these mats do NOT fit perfectly straight away. You have to give them to to relax, even better leave them in a really warm environment then fit straight away. Work them into corners etc hard, don't just flop them in the foot wells. They settle with time!

Great product & easy to order. Customer service is really good in responding & was professional’ courteous.

Item didn’t turn up and no replacement or refund given, just excuses trying to stall me.

Not as perfect fit as expected. But will wait for things to settle

A long time in getting to me but A great fit.
I can only say that overall my experience has been a positive one.
If you are thinking of changing/updating your car mats I would encourage you to buy from Whipmats

Delivered fairly quickly, good quality, the fit could be a little better, but I’m satisfied with them.

Everything arrived but at different times and by different couriers. All ok and fits satisfactorily.

Despite saying further down that this is an unprompted review, this IS a prompted review from them to me, asking me to review them and their product, so, here goes...

Poor fitting mats 4 inches too thin and the bottom of them is completely the wrong fit.
I contacted them regarding my prior to purchase to confirm that they would fit my crossover year vehicle, they confirmed they would, and also their as states "Guaranteed snug fit with no gaps"

Upon getting them I found they were way off, I sent pictures but got back a reply that I have correctly fitted them, and that they confirmed that 4 inches too thin and the wrong bottom of the mat, is completley withing their tollerences, when it clearly states no gaps and a perfect fit.

That's it, I've had no further response from them other than that clearly fobbing me off.

In my experience then, if you're thinking of buying from this company, DON'T!!!!

They don't honour their sales claims, will rip you off and leave you out to dry.

I'm putting in a claim from my payment card against this company and their lies.

Quality mats and great honesty when I accidentally ordered two sets of mats for same car. They stepped in before making both sets.

Just as described, fit very well, wipe clean easily and bonus the fittings that help and the sewn bmw badges, very impressed with overall product

The mats look good but didn't fit as snug like the advert and the velcro wouldn't stick to the carpet in my Range Rover. I did email them about this and they have sent me additional clips. They have been fantastic so their customer service is 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Absolutely shockingly bad, mats are sub par at best, complete waste of money. mine were delivered without any fittings which made them dangerous and unusable as they caught under the peddles, I contacted customer service who were appalling with no response, asked to return for a refund as they're not fit for purpose, got totally ignored this went on for weeks, I ask a number of times how to return for refund ignored every time. My mats were nearer to £200, not the £59 they advertised, and you can get better on Amazon....
My advice, do not waste your money.

Seat covers arrived without fixings. When fixings arrived there were too may of one fixing and not enough of another. I had to improvise.
Upright covers don’t account for armrests on the two captains chairs and there were no covers for the armrests themselves. I’ve recycled my old ones.
The seat covers don’t fully enclose the seats;they just sit on top.
Although the covers arrived earlier, I fitted the covers on Wednesday 12/08/2026.
Bit disappointed overall.

The fit of the easy fit mats are great in the seat Ibiza back and passenger side footwell :)
However, I’m awaiting a replacement drivers footwell mat, as this came up short in places and even with Velcro it doesn’t sit correct.
I will do a further review once I’ve received the new one.
Prompt customer service after receiving a video and pictures of the issue.
