Wholesale Investor's Emergence 2022 conference offered excellent networking opportunities for start ups and scale ups looking for capital investment. There was an excellent mix of partners and potential investors at the event. I highly recommend this for anyone raising capital funding.

The CRIISP platorm is a great step forward for young companies for their fund raising - esp not to be hostage anymore to a lot of shady so called "boutique investment bankers". Having said this - it was always a very personal experience since Steven managed the key thing an entrepreneur has to do: inspire and gather a hard working and motivated team around him. All the details have been managed also with attention (pitch decks, positioning, introductions, 30-sec videos, CRIISP Growth lab, Private networking etc!). A key benefit is to manage your own internal "Master Data Room" for communicating with both new or existing investors. CRIISP Platform & Deal Room - we're learning - we will generate value. Not just investors, but also potential partners and potential professional assistance companies.
WI Team - Support - They are tough task masters - if you are prepared to accept the coaching - quantum leap in Pitch Deck preparation/content. Video's useful.
CRIISP Growth Labs - great content - international tutoring - Run Saturday/Sunday very much worth the investment of time.
WI Private Networking and 3 days Networking during Emergence 2022 - meaningful discussions - follow up now under way -
As far as outcomes from Emergence 2022. MNDA opportunities identified - so potentially great value from Emergence 2022 and the preparation that preceded.
Commercial and Strategic discussions were positive, we know we have a way to go re early stage investors but made significant progress.
In terms of WI collateral and educative material - all valuable.
I see no reason not to complete our first 12 months with WI and continue during the progressive development and growth of our business

As a business owner I would never do this again as the money could be better spent elsewhere. The reasons I would not recommend business owners use this platform is below

1. Expensive packages, with providing only a platform for the business owners company and maybe sending out a email or two.
2. Significantly less Investors in attendance than what was promoted (maybe thousands registered yet only a few hundred in signed in)
3. The limited investors signed in are generally Pre IPO investors. Very few early stage investors
4. Technology used for the digital conference was woeful. People couldn't find what they want and you cant find the right people to talk to. So even if you found the right investor the chances of connecting are low and the chance of discussing the business are lower again.

Myself and several other business owners on the platform shared the experience above. Avoid paid upfront promotion platforms like this at all costs
