I have traveled with several travel companies and Wilderness Travel ALWAYS comes up as my number one travel company. The guides are knowledgeable, helpful, and experts in the history and customs of each place. I have found the guide truly "makes" the trip by introducing such a first hand depth of immersion into the city or country. A true appreciation makes each trip not only an adventure, but also a lifelong remembrance of the local people we have met.

Wilderness Travel provides small groups of adventure travelers with extremely knowledgable guides who are available to the travelers 24 hours each day, 7 days each week to educate and answer questions. If you want to learn a great deal about the places you are visiting, this is the way to go!

The trip ratings and daily itineraries are helpful and allow choosing trips that work for me, typically moderate with a nice mix of hiking and culture. The office specialists for the various areas are also helpful in this respect. They are knowledgeable and courteous. It's always a pleasure to speak with them.

I like that WT offers a wide selection of tours, and I appreciate that WT continues to add new tours - expeditions - and sometimes brings back repertory trips. I have taken several expeditions which ran smoothly, a testament to the careful planning that goes into a new trip.

A small group tour where you get to know everyone and learn a lot about the country from the guide. The tours focus on the countryside or more extreme adventures and mostly ignore the usual big-name cities. The guides work hard to make the trip enjoyable for everyone, even when plans change due to weather or other local conditions.

We have taken Wilderness Travel excursions many times to very different destinations -- Iceland, Hawaii, the Galapagos, Alaska. Small boats and hiking trips. All have been meticulously organized and the trip leaders are great. We would recommend this travel company without reservation.

My wife and I have travelled numerous times with Wilderness Travel - Himalaya Trek/Nepal, Machu Picchu trek/Peru, Czech Republic, Austria, Patagonia/Argentina and Chile, Amalfi Coast, Dolomites, Tuscany, Greek Islands, South Africa, Sicily, Turkey - over the past years. We have also travelled with a number of other companies in the industry. We believe that the WT leaders are among the very best in the business and the WT back office support is superior to the others. We have never been disappointed with a WT trip and have often been astounded. WT trips have provided us with some of our fondest travel memories. We give WT our highest recommendation. And yes, we currently have a WT trip booked for later this year.

Wilderness is the best. They get everything right. Great destinations, interesting itineraries, first class guides, small group size, excellent accommodations. We have been on a number of trips and they have all been great.

We have been on approximately ten trips with Wilderness travel. Every trip has been pretty much perfect! They choose excellent guides, thoughtful itineraries, and have excellent pacing. Trips range from low-effort cultural awareness trips to incredibly challenging hikes to Everest base amp. Chose your favorite!
