We had 8 X bespoke sash windows made. Completely satisfied with the quality of the windows, the fitting and customer service. They have made a tired house look shiny again.

The company are very professional and employ experts who have worked with sash windows for many years.
The first surveyor came first to look at the window to see what was needed. the cord had broken and the window needed a complete renovation. He explained what William Richards could do to mend the window, balance it and draft proof it.
Another engineer then came to measure it and make sure it was right.
Then I was contacted and a time for the work to be done was booked in.
The person who did the work came to the house, was very helpful and kind, worked hard all day and made a brilliant job of the window. I now can open the window, it has new fittings which look fantastic and it is quieter and warmer in the room. He put a new cord in the window and balanced it. I can lock the window too and it still has the original old glass. I like to keep the period features in the house, which was built in 1904. I don't want any UPVC in the house at all! I like the old windows.
He also cleaned up the dust after he had finished the work.
I am very pleased with the work which was done and can recommend William Richards.
A worker rang to make sure everything was ok and that I was pleased with the work.
The firm could not be more helpful, they really made an effort to do a good job and want their customers to be pleased with the work.

I’ve recently had all of my Sash windows replaced/repaired and the quality and finish is amazing. The guys working on site were lovely and my kids were sad to see them leave at the end of the job. Now the windows are in it is like a different house, so much warmer and draft free. Highly recommend.

Really good experience from getting a quote to final fitting. Everything very clearly explained, very detailed quote. Very professional staff, helpful, informative. Care taken with furnishings & possessions. I have only taken off one star for the long lead in time but as this is a small company making bespoke products it is to be expected & in my case they delivered slightly ahead of schedule plus i was kept fully informed. Satisfied customer

We are very satisfied with the window installation. The company quided us through the Council procedure for Grade 2 listed properties. The workmanship was excellent and we would thoroughly recommend this company.

Our new windows and door are absolutely amazing! We were quite worried about trusting anyone with our period property after previous bad experiences but we need not have been concerned. Paul and Jordan did an incredible job. Paul made sure all the work was of the highest standard and the craftsmanship of the windows and doors is brilliant. Everything all tidied up as well. Will definitely be having more work done in the future and can highly recommend. Thank you all

We would like take the opportunity to thank you and your team for superlative work at our offices with the new sash windows. We have had superb service from the initial contact to the installation. All the staff have been incredibly professional and polite, the fitters were friendly, tidy and thorough with the installation. We are delighted with our new windows, they really make our office stand out and inside the rooms seem brighter. The windows bring great pleasure to all of us. We will have no hesitation in recommending William Richards to any friends, family and business acquaintances.

Over the past 2 years the team at Williams Richards have restored and rebuilt all of the sash windows and a bay window in our Edwardian house.
We have nothing but praise for the quality, workmanship and professionalism of the whole team.
Nothing short of 100% satisfaction will suffice and we feel that we are a valued customer who will never look anywhere else for our windows and doors. Next up are bespoke replacement bay/ French doors for our kitchen which we are very excited about. Phil and Steph

I contacted WRSW in March 2021 as i needed assistance with changing the windows and doors in a listed building that was used for Offices. After meeting both Robin and Kieran i knew that we were in safe hands and they talked me through each step that i needed to follow with the council and also assisted with the planning application. After waiting for the planning application to go through i contacted Robin and we started looking at installation dates and the finer details. At this point we had gone from having one aspect done to two and Robin and Kieran got to work on producing the various parts and kept in touch with the timescales. Installation day came and Ryan and his team did not stop from the minute they got here and it had to be just right, they worked alongside myself for approx 5 weeks and perfection from this team was always at the top of the list. They were polite, hard working and professional at all times. Installation was completed on time and the return date booking in the diary to review any settling issues. I can't thank the team enough for making the building stand out from the crowd and also bringing its character back to life. Thank you from TBS.

We needed three sash windows replaced in our Georgian house and have been delighted with the work carried out by William Richards. From the first contact with Robin, followed by Kieran in the planning stage through to the fitters Ryan, Jack and Jordan the whole process was excellent. All staff were friendly, professional and capable and we will certainly use them again.

I have just had my huge Victorian sash windows refurbished and I could not be happier- the craftsmanship and finish is excellent in fact my decorator commented he had not come across so smooth and well repaired windows and they specialise in working on heritage buildings.
Ricardo and Paul were completely charming and very professional great ambassadors for an excellent company who have done a wonderful job - I highly recommend this company.

We have a Regency home in Cheltenham, when we bought it, it already had 5 aluminum framed, double glazed sash windows at the front, they were probably installed around 1986-ish, before the house was grade II listed.

I asked WRSW to install proper wooden framed, double glazed replacement windows. I originally wanted 1 glass pane over 1 glass pane (as per neighbouring houses on either side)
The listed building planning department advised that this wouldn't be permitted, and a 6 over 6 design would be the only sash approved.
They also believed that the wooden framed glazing bars (to support the 6 panes, would need to be substantial in width in order to hold the double glazed 'lights' (glass panels).
WRSW were extremely helpful in contacting the council directly and assuring them that the glazing bars were authentic in design, of the correct width and could still hold the double glazed lights.

When the work took place, they send a craftsman named Ryan, Ryan spent around 8 days on site, he was extremely easy to have around, respectful and happy to work quietly and importantly, taking care to minimize dust.
We can't recommend this firm highly enough, fantastic windows, great comms, lovely staff and beautiful windows at a very reasonable price.

What a wonderful company. From first contact with the lovely and informative Robin, then the amazing Kieran and then the wonderful Ricardo who has just fitted new windows in our bay window and 2 other rooms, we have been delighted. They are so professional, polite and have done such a good job we have booked them again to replace the sash windows in the rest of the property. Many thanks to all three and to the guys in the workshop who produced such quality windows, Katherine and Terry at Elmdon Lodge

Our three Victorian sash windows, and front door, at the front of our terraced house were in desperate need of replacement. The WRSW website persuaded us that this was the firm to contact. Robin, and then Kieran, made site visits and we were impressed by their friendly demeanours and their reassurance that the job could be completed successfully.

Steve who installed the windows and door was genuinely committed to the work and demonstrated great skill in overcoming the difficulties posed by a 150 year old building. We are so pleased with the results. No more draughts and the constant hum of traffic noise from the main road no longer audible. The new double glazed sash windows and the neatly fitting front door are a delight to look at and have made the house warmer and cosier.

Fantastic service and great communication throughout the whole process of making our new sash windows and restoring the old frames. The guys did a great job and we’re really pleased with the results.

Would thoroughly recommend the company for their professional service and skilled craftsmen to both make new, and restore existing, sash windows for a period home.

We have just had 7 sash windows refurbished in our home and would thoroughly recommend WRSW. From start to finish they were professional and completely trustworthy. The actual tradesman doing the work, Ryan, was a pleasure to deal with, expert at his job and treated our home with respect.

Excellent advice, service and fitting. Superb job. Thank you Robin, Kieran and Mark.

A reliable and professional service from start to finish - everything as described, on time and completed in full. Polite, tidy, great workmanship - would recommend
