Our Hotel has benefitted greatly with WOWapps integration. We use it for bookings and online ordering portal. Easy to use and great service from their team if you have any issues. Highly recommend.

Very bad

They’re making bookings on the booking site without even having a contract.

Are you daft? Do you have any idea how much of an inconvenience this is causing our customers? I’ve signed a proper contract and set up an online booking system. I have no idea how your system works, as it’s making bookings without a contract. You’re being utterly ridiculous. You should reply to every single customer who has contacted us.

WOWAPPS

WOWAPPS - we agreed to a trial last year. It was a disaster and did not work because they send bookings through and you have to respond immediately day or night or they just allocate you the booking and customer rolls up, thinking they have one when they don't. So we told them to stop the bookings function and believed we had cancelled the trial. Only to find we have been paying for this service for a year. When I contacted support they offered none of it. Buyer beware. I know I will never sign up for "trial" again and cannot recommend their product or service.

You mentioned this relates to last year. We’re now at the end of February, and we’re sorry to hear this has been sitting with you for so long without being raised directly. We would have welcomed the opportunity to look into it much earlier.

We’ve attempted to locate your details in our system to properly investigate, however we haven’t been able to identify an account that matches this review. If you’re open to it, please reach out to us directly via support.wowapps.com with your venue name and contact details so we can review this thoroughly and provide a clear response.

There also appears to be some confusion between trial access and activation. Billing details must be entered before any paid subscription can commence — we’re unable to charge without this step being completed by the account holder. In addition, our service operates on a subscription basis, which is billed monthly rather than as a single annual upfront charge. For that reason, we’d appreciate the opportunity to understand where the breakdown occurred.

We’re not dismissing your concerns — we simply want to ensure we’re speaking to the right account and reviewing the correct information. Once we can identify the venue, we’ll investigate properly and work toward a fair resolution.

Wowapps Repeatedly Hijacked My Google Bookings After Cancellation – Abusive, Unauthorised, and Dangerous

UPDATE 2:
Wowapps’ latest reply contains further misrepresentation.

There was no engagement with Wowapps for ~18 months other than repeated instructions to stop intercepting our Google bookings. The claimed “approval” on 02/12/2025 was a template email sent by Wowapps implying consent. Same template sent many times. It was never responded to, actioned, or agreed to. Silence is not consent, particularly after a relationship has been terminated and prior instructions to disconnect already existed.

Their statement that “everything was disabled and removed” directly contradicts the fact that bookings were still being intercepted and accept/reject emails were sent after we again told them to stop.

Rather than address repeated re-integration and booking interference, Wowapps continues to attack the reviewer and revise timelines. That pattern is the issue.

Evidence has been provided to Google and regulators.

UPDATE:

Wowapps’ response proves my original review.

Instead of addressing the unauthorised booking interception, Wowapps chose to publicly publish my personal email address and mobile phone number in their reply. That is not “context” — it is doxxing. It has now been reported and preserved.

They also attempt to rewrite history by claiming consent was given by a third party, while simultaneously admitting they reconnected my Google bookings. That claim is disputed, unsupported, and now conveniently used to justify repeated access after I explicitly instructed them to disconnect.

Notice what they still do not deny:
• That they intercepted Google bookings
• That they overrode my active provider
• That they sent accept/reject emails for bookings they claim they were authorised for
• That this has happened repeatedly
• That their CEO personally closed the ticket instead of fixing it

Rather than resolve a live technical issue, Wowapps attacked my character, disclosed my personal contact details, and attempted to intimidate via public narrative control. That behaviour speaks for itself.

Any business considering Wowapps should understand this pattern clearly:
When challenged, they do not fix problems.
They escalate, deflect, and retaliate.

Evidence has been provided to Google and regulators. Readers can draw their own conclusions.

Wowapps is hands down the most unethical and hostile software vendor I have ever dealt with.

I terminated my contract with Wowapps over 18 months ago after their staff became abusive and aggressive during cancellation. I made it explicitly clear they were never to touch my bookings again.

Since then, Wowapps has re-added itself to my Google bookings FOUR separate times without consent.

Not “accidentally”.
Not “confusion”.
FOUR TIMES.

Each time, they intercepted live customer bookings intended for my actual booking provider and attempted to force me back into their platform by withholding booking details unless I logged in and “accepted” the booking. That is not a feature — it is coercive behaviour.

This most recent incident happened again this week. Wowapps overrode my current provider, hijacked the booking, and emailed me as if they were still authorised. They were not. They have not been for over a year.

When I contacted support demanding immediate removal of their unauthorised integration, they did NOT deny intercepting the booking. Instead, they:
- Refused to disconnect their system
- Closed the support ticket
- Lectured me about “tone”
- Threatened to block my contact details
- Took zero responsibility for ongoing unauthorised access

At no point did they fix the actual problem: their system was still touching my business when it had no right to.

This is a clear pattern of behaviour:
- Customer cancels
- Wowapps retains backend access
- Re-inserts itself into bookings without consent
- Uses customer data as leverage to force re-engagement
- Stonewalls and gaslights when challenged

If you sign up with Wowapps, understand this clearly: leaving does not mean they let go. They appear to believe they retain ownership over your bookings and customer flow indefinitely.

This behaviour has been reported to Google with evidence.

Do not trust this company with your business, your customers, or your data.

For clarity, approval to proceed was granted by your team on 02/12/2025. The first time we were informed that you were unhappy was 19/12/2025, nearly three weeks later. Until that point, no objection was raised.

Once you made it clear you no longer wished to proceed, everything was disabled and removed. There is no ongoing access, no integration, and no activity on our side.

It’s also worth noting for anyone reading that the subsequent emails and messages we received were aggressive and abusive in nature, which is why we chose not to continue a back-and-forth publicly or privately.

'Wow'apps is a game changer!

I needed an easy and straightforward booking system and did not have a website for my new business. After doing much research I chose Wowapps because they were Australian based and after initial contact I found that they were incredibly informative & supportive and the app offered everything I needed.

My contact Jared has been patient, engaging & so respectful in his communication with me & what he says he is going to do, he does.

We've recently integrated online ordering through our Google page and this is a game changer, along with online bookings through Google too. I'm absolutely loving the fact that wow apps integrates with Uber and doordash without me having to pay commission. This allows me to keep my profits yet still offer delivery.

Another benefit that really tickles my fancy is that the integration between our apps and my POS Square is seamless.

I'm super excited to see what wow apps develops next.

Growing Google Business Profile and Communication

WOWAPPS has incredible in-built features which allow you to communicate with your customers directly. We've taken advantage of this to skyrocket our Google Reviews, whilst also providing the option of a direct line of communication in the event of an unsatisfactory experience at our venue. In this case, they have to opportunity to rain issues or provide criticism privately, rather than in the form of a review.

Their app has also improved greatly over the past 12 months, and we've also used their communication features to reach out to our customers to let them know of these upgrades, so that they can start using it and enjoying the benefits and features that come with the app. A pretty neat aspect is that you can target these communications to only reach customers who actually do order online AND they'll only be notified once, rather than being spammed each time they order online...

Also worth mentioning they're 0% commission, and the customer service has always been excellent.

Very Fishy

We did not sign up for their service, yet they had added a 'Reserve a Table' button to our Google landing page. They contacted the owner, had a two minute conversation with them, with zero follow up. The number I have attempted to call back gets sent to the message bank. I have no other contact details, nor do they have any on their website.
I cannot remove it myself, and can find nothing online to cancel this service. The only thing the portal lets me do is upgrade to a paid membership for $200 a month, which is insane. They have two 'customer reviews', one of which links to a fake website, and the other links to a website that has shut down.
Also, all of their previous reviews on TrustPilot before mine are all made with 5 stars, one day after the other. This has all the makings of a scam built to do nothing but extort naïve business owners who are not tech-savvy.
After going through their 'support' page, they have agreed to remove the button.

Given your review was posted as a warning to others, I think it’s only fair to respond with the same level of transparency – including noting your full name and email. While we did communicate with you directly and believed the matter was resolved, you’ve chosen to escalate things here, so let’s walk through it.

To start – yes, we did contact Marama Wine, and we did speak with someone identified as Grace, who in both your words and our notes, is the owner. That call took place on 12/06/2025 at 2:39:24 PM. Following that conversation, an email was sent within minutes to hello@maramawine.com.au, confirming the discussion. A second follow-up was also sent later that day at 4:47 PM.

Then, at 5:29 PM, you replied. No further action was taken beyond that point, and the listing never went live.

Now – as for the details of the conversation between our team member and Grace, I’ll be honest: I wasn't on the call, and neither were you. So while I can stand behind the process, I can’t confirm exactly what was said. I’ve made a note to investigate this further internally, as it’s important we get it right — and if something wasn’t handled well, that’s on us to fix.

To clarify, we don't add services to Google listings to trap or confuse businesses. We do this because functionality like Reserve with Google has proven to help small, independent venues grow — especially those without access to the bigger tech stacks. That’s what WOWAPPS is all about.

Now, regarding your comment that something “fishy” is going on — I’d invite you to consider that platforms like Google and Apple don’t hand out partnerships lightly. Our technology is vetted, tested, and compliant.

On the issue of removal — if you were having trouble, it's likely because the Google Business Profile doesn’t “belong” to you directly (especially if you're not listed as the owner), and changes like this require coordination with Google. That’s not specific to us — that’s how Google operates.

And yes — this is a new Trustpilot page. Some early positive reviews came in from our community. It's common when launching a new profile, and we’re proud of the support from venues we’ve actually helped.

So to recap:
✅ No listing went live
✅ No charge was made
✅ There was follow-up
✅ The feature was removed
✅ And this wasn’t a scam, but rather a miscommunication
