The Buffs make my life SO MUCH BETTER. It's really reassuring, knowing there are people whose job it is to help us with all the tech stuff. We're a small law firm and don't have a tech guru on site.
They help us with problems, take care of upgrades, back up our site, make as many changes as we want, AND they do it 24/7! Their employees all write in excellent English, and even though the support is all through email, it has never been a problem for us.
With tech people around the world, it's great knowing that if I ask for something at 8pm, there's a person who can work on it during their regular work day. (I hate when I know someone is toiling away for me at 3am).

Very misleading pricing on what is to be expected with the service you receive. They "play in the gray" area and then will try and nickel and dime you with extra payments for changes that would literally make a few minutes. I understand if I was paying for the bare minimum package, but I was paying for the highest tier package. If you want to get nickel and dimed to death with a variety of "sorry, our package does not cover that", then this would be the service for you. It started off pretty good, but then things go sour in a hurry.
Great team, easy to work with, quick to respond to issues and great for keeping your Wordpress site up to date and firing on all cylinders.

WP Buffs are severely overpriced for what they offer. I was on their "Perform" package, paying several hundred dollars per month for what's advertised as 24/7 Emergency Support, 24/7 Uptime Monitoring, and Unlimited Website Edits. In reality, none of those promises were delivered.
They performed weekly updates—allegedly on a staging site—but those updates repeatedly broke my live site. Not only did they fail to respond within the promised 24-hour window (it often took 72 hours or more), but fixes sometimes dragged on for 5–7 days while my site remained down and support stayed unresponsive.
Worse, many of the issues they were supposed to prevent were actually caused by them—and I had to fix them myself just to stay operational. During this time, my ecommerce store lost thousands of dollars in revenue.
After ending the contract, I brought in an in-house engineer who reviewed their work. Not only had our performance dropped from an A+ to an F, but the engineer determined that our database and site optimization had been deliberately sabotaged.
Avoid this company at all costs—working with them is a serious liability.

I was a paying customer on your Perform Plan, and the service I received fell dramatically short of what was advertised. Weekly updates frequently broke the live site despite your team claiming they were done safely in a staging environment. Support responses routinely took days—sometimes up to a week—despite your “24/7 Emergency Support” promise.
Your reply here is disappointing but unsurprising. Rather than taking responsibility for what went wrong, you’ve chosen to imply my review is dishonest and discredit me based on unrelated reviews. That kind of deflection speaks volumes.
The performance degradation and broken database were real, verified independently by our internal engineer after we ended our engagement with your team. We only just recovered from persistent malware that remained long after our contract ended—an issue that should have been prevented or detected if your services were functioning as claimed.
No one wants to write a review like this. But if sharing my experience helps even one other business avoid the damage we went through, it’s worth it.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided by this website management company. Unfortunately, they failed to meet even the most basic security standards, putting my website and data at significant risk. Despite repeated discussions and clear expectations, the necessary security measures were either overlooked or improperly implemented.
To make matters worse, the company provided false reports regarding the status of my website's security. I was given inaccurate information, which gave me a false sense of security. When I raised concerns about the discrepancies in the reports, I received no meaningful resolution or acknowledgment of the issue.
Additionally, the overall communication and customer service were subpar. Responses to emails were delayed, and when I did hear back, the responses were vague and unhelpful. It was frustrating trying to get clear answers or any sense of accountability.
Given the critical nature of website security and proper management, I cannot recommend this company. Their lack of professionalism and failure to adhere to basic security practices makes them an unreliable partner. I would strongly advise others to look for a more competent and trustworthy service provider.
I have worked with WP Buffs since about 2018. They get better and better every year, it seems. I send them a task with the requirements, and they get it done with few questions. Just amazing - so grateful for the service you provide!

They perform all required updates from plug-ins to new WordPress versions. They back-up the website daily, plus they monitor and maintain the security and firewall. Our uptime is 100% to date. You definitely get what you pay for with WP Buffs. That being said, it's not enough. I would prefer to pay more for better service instead of getting the cheapest WP support available. I agree with another reviewer that they don't prioritize the tickets properly. Also, they work sequentially and won't go on to the next ticket until the last ticket is finished, so if you have a tricky one, you have to close it out so they will go on to the next easy or urgent one, then reopen the old one. We had a ticket that was being worked on for a very long time, over a month, partly due to me responding slowly, partly due to them apparently stopping for other tickets that were sent in. The response time is generally much slower than stated, unless you consider the auto-reply within a 24-hr response window. I have had to wait days for proper acknowledgement on some tickets. Also, the tickets get assigned to new engineers as shifts change which is not always optimal. I will be exchanging emails with one engineer over the course of a few hours, and then another engineer on the next shift picks up the ticket and they may not have the full understanding. The email-only communication is antiquated. It can take 2-3 days of back and forth emails to clarify an issue. Once a support engineer starts working on a ticket, I would like real-time communication to expedite the process. Slack would be best, or a Slack-like interface. Chat would be an improvement too.

I have been working with WPBuffs for 6 months or so (how time flies). My experience with them is overall very good.
I did run into a similar issue as Alex (May 4, 2021) did below. In my case, a plugin broke because it didn't work with the current PHP version. I feel that is something that should not escape testing. WPBuffs and I got through that, but it did cast a shadow on their updating flow.
I also think WPBuff's ticket ordering should be revisited, because my high priority tickets don't get attention before tickets with a lower priority — date of submitting a ticket seems to be the rule). WPBuffs have given me a hack to highlight urgent tickets, for which I am truly thankful, but I'd prefer them to just respect their own priority labels.
Having said that, communication has been clear and good, and tickets generally resolved quickly. I am happy to have them handling my site speed, help me solving errors, and take the load of finding and killing CSS issues off my back — all great time-savers for me.
Once I learned how to seperate my issues into different tickets, we settled into a nice workflow.
