An absolute shower! They took on too many cases, apparently, and weren't able to fulfill my conveyancing. That's bad enough, but it took them four months to tell me; during which time they ignored multiple requests for updates. I'm just sorry that I'm compelled to give this awful company a single star.

Maria Gul made the purchase of a flat an easy experience. Very professional, was very quick to reply to my emails and explain to me the whole process. It was a great experience and would highly recommend this firm

I initially signed up to WRJ legal who were taken over/rebranded as Landsdowne Law. I had paid and instructed them to sell my house. After I found a buyer and submitted my information to Lansdowne Law, thinking the conveyance was well underway, 2 weeks later I get an email from them to inform me they did not have enough staff to continue to my conveyance. So I nearly lost the sale of my house as the buyer was frustrated they had not heard or received any response from Lansdowne law

Lansdowne Law are a disgrace to the legal profession. Do not trust this firm as they are incompetent, unprofessional and unethical. When I enquired how I could make a formal complaint or contact their ombudsman, they ignored my correspondence

We were using Lansdowne Law as our conveyancing solicitor for a purchase we agreed to in March, we left them in July due to non response to 9 emails and no ability for our case handler, Horia, to answer numerous phone calls.

Despite issuing verbal and written warnings to respond within a week to confirm that they were still working on our case, we received no such response and were forced to find a new solicitor - which has turned out to be a very good decision. We were without any contact from Lansdowne from the 11th of May till 23rd of July, unfortunately Lansdowne were also not communicating with our estate agent, putting a lot of stress on all parties and risking the sale. We eventually managed to achieve a response by also copying in every partner listed on the Lansdowne Law website, otherwise I suspect we may not have heard from them at all.

Lansdowne also refused to raise enquires to the sellers solicitors based upon our survey results, something which has not been a problem at all for our new solicitors.

In short, I would not recommend this firm, the amount you may save is not at all worthy of the levels of stress generated. I also suspect various glowing reviews listed here may not be authentic.

Rizwan’s approachability and willingness to help made a huge difference when I was purchasing my house. He was always available to answer my questions, and I felt comfortable reaching out whenever I needed assistance. We have contacted the SRA and legal ombudsman due to the serious issues we faced.

Conveyancing process took far too long.

For your own sanity & stress levels, look at other firms. I instructed them beginning of March for both a sale & purchase - big mistake!

It was not only a nightmare to actually get hold of anyone for an update, but I was misled, lied to & after 4 months was told they were at capacity & could no longer help. Even after finding a much better solicitor, they were still causing me issues as we discovered they hadn’t carried out a specific search that was needed as part of mortgage conditions.

Do yourself a favour go elsewhere - buying/selling is already stressful enough, you don’t need this, trust me..

After instructing this firm at the beginning of Feb 25 for the purchase of an empty property, we have had 5 months of excuses only to receive a letter out of the blue stating they do not have capacity to complete our house purchase.

In my opinion we have had 5 months of excuses, dishonesty, intential deception, incompetence or even a shred of professional integrity.

Not surprisingly the sellers have put the house back on the market due to the utter fiasco with this firm.......

What an absolute sham of a company! They No not answer phone calls, do not answer emails, there is zero communication from them. Our sale is about the fall through due to their severe negligence and highly unprofessional manner! Stay well away! I'm pretty sure they will go bust soon anyway! Using lansdowne law is like banging your head up a brick wall! There's also plenty of Google reviews to second this one!!

The firm took a week to send me the starter pack. Once I received the pack everything ran slowly. I paid them £100 to open the case and then they cancelled my case with no warning, just a badly written email. The email promised that all files would be sent to my ne solicitor, they weren't. I was also promised a full refund, so far I have received £60 and they have stopped responding. I am having to make a formal complaint to the legal ombudsman

I cannot speak highly enough of Rizwan and the incredible service he provided during my house purchase. His dedication is truly unbelievable, he answered my call while waiting in hospital for his own operation. That level of commitment is rare to find.

Wish I had read the reviews before instructing this company with transfer of mortgage property.
Haven’t heard anything in a month believing that things are happening behind the scenes.
I chased and chased and today got a response saying that the person dealing with my case has left and the firm is at full capacity and I able to bring it to completion.
It is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.Time wasted and having to start over with a new conveyancer.
Avoid, avoid, avoid, one star is too much!

Please be advised that this company was acting for me for a sale and after acting on our behalf for 4 months they decided to pull out and stop acting for us, there reason was they had too much work on and couldn't support our sale anymore.

It has put the house sale at risk, I'm now having to chase a refund for the upfront payment they requested before acting for us.

I would highly avoid using this unprofessional company.

Absolutely terrible service from start to finish. Communication was virtually non-existent. We were constantly left chasing updates and trying to get basic information.

Strangely, they asked us on the day of completion to help them obtain a redemption statement, something they should have done in the 6 month period they have been instructed to work on this case.

The staff were also unhelpful and, at times, outright rude, especially the reception team who seemed uninterested and dismissive whenever we called for assistance.

Most concerning of all, there were unacceptable delays in transferring funds and sending completion documents, which caused unnecessary stress and could have jeopardised the process.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this company. The experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer care.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with this firm during the sale of my property. Communication was consistently poor. I was left completely in the dark about the progress of my case, and calls or updates that were promised never happened.

I was told via voicemail that my solicitor was going on long term leave and would be replaced, but no one followed up. When I called the office days later, the receptionist told me the solicitor had actually returned, only for me to then receive an email saying the firm could no longer act for me due to “lack of capacity.”

The conflicting information, lack of transparency, and abrupt withdrawal from my case caused serious delays and unnecessary stress at a critical time. I feel completely let down and misled by this firm. If you’re looking for reliable and professional service, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

You have to chase for updates. They never pick up the phone.

On the date of completion and even post completion, I was none the wiser whether my completion went through at all.

They missed my completion date due to their negligence. This company is a sham! Avoid at all costs!!!

Very unprofessional service from start to finish.

Terrible experience so far. We should have completed on our remortgage already and we instructed 3 months before our current mortgage was due to expire. 3 months in and a mortgage statement hasn't even been requested. It doesn't look like any searches have been done. As we're remortgaging to pay off a Help To Buy loan, we now have to pay another £250.00 to get the house valued a SECOND time (as it's only valid for 3 months). If our property has gone up in value, we'll have to obtain another mortgage and we'll have to borrow even more. It's been near impossible to get through to anyone. Muhammad promises to update us but rarely does. We've never actually had any contact with the solicitor working on our case and it doesn't look like they've ever actually contacted our lender. Will be pursuing action against Lansdowne Law (trading as WRJ Solicitors). AVOID!!
