Hi! My name is Friday Shuur Tsekaa, and I am a licensed Civil Engineer practicing in Nigeria.

I am an ALX alumnus. I have completed two courses with ALX, the Artificial Intelligence Career Essentials Program (AICEP) and the Professional Foundations Program. I am also currently enrolled in the Content Creation Program.

During my time with ALX, I was thrilled by their unique approach to teaching. Although the programs are delivered online, the learning experience is highly practical and engaging, making it easy to understand, apply, and retain what I was taught.

To be honest, what I learned at ALX and have applied in my profession has given me an edge over many of my colleagues in the workplace.

I have learned how to apply AI to different aspects of my profession, ranging from quality control and quality assurance to preparing bills, costing projects, and calculating material quantities quickly and accurately without going through unnecessarily rigorous processes.

I also use the knowledge and tools I gained from ALX to prepare professional presentations and progress reports for my company, ensuring that the information presented is accurate and well organised.

ALX has equipped me with powerful tools and skills that have made it possible for me to accomplish tasks more efficiently and with greater ease.

In fact, what I learned at ALX is invaluable. ALX teaches you to do hard things, embrace challenges, and never give up.

More importantly, they have helped me develop habits and skills that have made me more relevant and effective in my profession.

When it comes to VA training, ALX remain the best. I gained more than what I paid for. The follow up to check up on you via your assigned mentor feels good 👍. ALX is simply the best.

I enjoyed doing the AICE program due to the new ways of learning. I enjoyed it so much that I joined the Founders program. I enjoyed the 3 months of that program that I also applied for the Virtual assistant program. I loved the new ways of working remotely and being a freelancer. After that I joined the Data program. It taught me a lot about data and also I made a lot of friends. I started my company called Kumpii after the founders program.

I enrolled in the ALX Virtual Assistant programme to arm myself with skills that could build a future. I started motivating myself, writing my own affirmations, and pouring my soul into creation. I authored books on Amazon, I wrote gospel songs that healed my own spirit, and I committed to growing in digital skills—not just to survive, but to thrive. I decided that my potential, and God's purpose for me, was bigger than anyone's rejection.

The Transformation:
Today, I am not just surviving—I am triumphing victoriously. The story is changing. The rejection that was meant to break me has become my testimony. I am proving that the rejected stone can indeed become the chief cornerstone. My identity is no longer shaped by what others said I couldn't do, but by what God and my determination have enabled me to achieve. I am a published author, a creator, and a woman of faith who is building the life she was meant to live.

My experience with ALX has been both challenging and rewarding. Through the Content Creation program, I've learned that creating quality content involves much more than simply recording a video. I've developed skills in audience research, scripting, storyboarding, visual storytelling, and content strategy.

The program has pushed me to think more intentionally about the content I create and has given me practical experience by applying what I learn to my own project.

One thing I really appreciate about ALX is its community. It brings together ambitious people from different backgrounds across Africa who are always willing to learn, collaborate, and support one another. The relationships and professional network you build often continue long after completing the program.

I paid and money was deducted. Their system didn't pick the transaction I provided everything they asked for yet every customer rep was referring me to the next agent. Worst service ever.

However, the overall experience could be improved with more consistent learner support, clearer communication, and better responsiveness to student concerns. While the program has strong potential, there is room for improvement in delivering a more seamless and engaging learning experience.
