Thanks to everyone who provided an honest review. Every remotely positive review is so clearly written by someone within the company, they're ridiculous. Again, thanks for helping me in not wasting time on this grifter Appen mess.

I've transcribed for 45 minutes, I've finished 47 tasks. I got paid 1 dollar and 67 cents for 45 minutes of my life. Thanks, I can almost buy a sandwich now. Don't waste your time on this website.

This is plainly a scam. You need to earn a minimum of 10$ to supposedly withdraw funds (and then again, only via Paypal). You will never earn 10$ on Atexto, the simple reason being that they will never give you enough tasks for you to actually be able to make 10$.

The lucrative tasks are never made available (in any language, I tried several). The only thing available to you will be a transcription micro task. It pays anything from 1-20$/hour - not bad, right?

The thing is each recording lasts about 4 seconds, and takes 20 to load (it's by design, not the result of faulty internet). This makes it so that an entire hour spent transcribing will net you around... 30 cents.

But wait, it gets even better! Your transcriptions are judged to be correct or incorrect by... Other users such as yourself. Incorrect transcriptions do not earn you any money, and believe me when I say your transcriptions will be absolutely mangled and marked as incorrect even when they're correct. You can see the corrections other users make to your transcriptions - it's hilarious to see someone erase a single letter of your work, rewrite it and claim is as incorrect.

Good luck hitting 10 dollars at that rate, and then you seem to have to be particularly lucky for them to actually cough up your money, as seen from quite a few reviews.

In sum, don't bother with this scam. You'll earn more if you take to the streets and keep your eyes down in search of spare change.

I tried the repeat out lout task 3 times and 3 TIMES IT DIDN'T WORK. my internet connection is strong, my room is completely silent and i do 88 prompts just to get an "unknown error" at the end and not get paid! this is pissing me off. so unserious.

It gives you task for first 2 days.After that you won't get any tasks.But if you sign up using alt account, there,you will get task for only 2 days.
Trying to get free work,Not a good business model.

Now that tasks are available in my country/language, i completed my first task (Repeat it out load); ps (the microphone is working well, my internet connection as well), when i finished the tasks (88 prompts), the page refreshed .. and a BLANK PAGE appeared, no confirmation of the task, NOTHING.
Thank you for wasting my time.

Everytime you sent task then im gonna open ' i like to transcribe" task always says " no more task "

No new tasks for over a month, yet they keep sending me e-mails that the tasks are available. I can't delete the account. I keep clicking on "delete account" in the profile but nothing happens.

Excellent part time work and prompt payment. I received my paypal payment within a week.

Very legit. Got my payment after a week. It's a very good site especially when you're beginner in transcription job, task are easy but they're limited. They don't give a task everyday and the rate is not that high but overall it's a nice way of passive income

after many days working on this site i feel so happy because its free and less worries i started using my mobile phone and i got more task but now i have a desktop i only recieve few task but its oks cauz i recieve my first pay out in 8 days. I hope i got more task . thank youuu

Site extremamente honesto, paga certinho, em questão as tarefas, as vezes o site fica sem tarefas para realizar, mas em geral, sempre tem tarefas de transcrições, o site paga corretamente. Possuo 3 comprovantes de pagamento

Echt heel leuk werk en leuk dat je er iets mee verdient. Wordt er nieuwe Rijk van maar je kunt er wel een leuk zakcentje mee verdienen. Wel kan de betaling soms wat later zijn. Maar ik ben toch wel heel tevreden. Ik zou het zeker doen, maar verwacht geen volledig maandinkomen.

Malísima plataforma, te emboban con tareas y tareas pero nunca hay, pagan bien poco y cuando por fin pude reunir 10 dólares mágicamente PayPal me elimino la cuenta porque el pago se lo encontró sospechoso, ni siquiera me devolvieron los 10 dólares, es una estafa total. NO CAIGAN!!

I have signed with the hope to make a little extra income. I was able to get my money the first week, not much like, 15 dollars, the pay was way lower than the one advertised and the work was a lot. Then suddenly while I was continuing to work on their transcription task my earnings showed a negative near them. Tried to contact Atexto on the community several times and realized a lot of other people were having the same issue. Basically you work, earn but then for some reason all your earnings disappear. In short, don't bother trying, I don't think it's a scam per se, but I do think that the customer support is non existant and there are too many issues. If you sign up, you're going to work without getting paid. As of today I still have the problem and nobody has answered or solved it.
