The kitchen tap in my daughter's flat in February was dripping and moving around. I called AZ Plumbing which sent a plumber out. He did the job and left. In the evening we noticed the job was done wrongly because the tap was moving even more then before. Me and my wife was phoning the company AZ Plumbing / UBR the whole night, as it is an emergency service, and they tried to deny we were their customers and did not recognise the address. It took for hours to prove I had already paid £300. The manager eventually acknowledged the error and sent the same plumber out the next day, who was again 30 minutes late and fixed the tap. The previous night the plumber directly phoned me and my wife and was shouting and swearing at us when he was questioned why he left the tap moving. He said we should have called him directly, he gave his number for future jobs, because the company evaluates him. The management is not better than him, as for hours they didn't want to acknowledge the error caused lots of stress. Do not use them.

AZ Plumbing Gloucester. Charged £49 call out fee. Then wanted to charge over £500 to replace a failing valve. They advised pipework needed replacing as well because of age/condition. Rejected quote and got spares from Proper Job under £10. Repaired myself in 5 minutes.

I called these out as an emergency at 8 o'clock at night. As I add a leak in the cold water tank, there was a 10 minutes and charged me 1200 pounds for turning the stop tap off.

I have used them twice now, the first time in January 23 and more recently in August 24. On both occasions I was very happy with the quality and cost of the work done.

The first time I used them in January 23 what I thought would be a simple boiler service turned into a major piece of work when it was found that the gas valve was faulty and the inside of the boiler dirty with soot. A problem with gas pressure to the boiler meant he had to come back and run a new gas pipe from the front to back of house. He rescheduled less important jobs to free up time so as to get out boiler working ASAP. At every stage he told me what he was doing, showed me the problems, and explained the charging structure. It was a big job and in both cases the bills were less than I was expecting given the time he was on site. He was good at getting back to me on the phone with when he could come back at fit the new pipe.

I also got them change a shower pump, his plumbing was fast and efficient and he completed the job in much less time than I was expecting. Very happy with the quality of his work.

More recently he came back to service our boiler, this time it was a completely straightforward service but he still took the time to explain the bits on out 15 year old boiler that we would need to change in the next year or two.

All in all a thoroughly professional and efficient service not the quickest at responding to emails but get the communication right when it is important. Highly recomended.
