We do find that the web UI is more stable if Wifi is poor but I'd be very interested to learn more

Internet Strength is Critical
I had a lot of issues with this initially and all of them appeared to do with the strength of the internet signal. The initial ripping had skips, pops and other noises and was not what was expected. I contacted Brennan and Paul made some suggestions. In the end it was linking it via Ethernet that transformed the unit into what I was expecting.
It would be good if there was more emphasis on the importance of the internet signal. There's no documentation supplied that stresses this. There are no warnings on the unit that it is below the minimum required. This could be improved.
But the unit, now it's working, is excellent. Yes, you need a computer really to add artwork as it doesn't fetch it automatically for me. The interface is fine and I'm enjoying it. I'm not enjoying having to re-rip all of the CDs I did prior to a resolution.

Thanks for the four stars and the feedback. I have logged your suggestions about warning if the Wifi signal is low and adding that to the website - both good ideas.
I'm not sure how a lack of Wifi would lead to skips and pops - so please make sure you backup. I always suggest backing up incrementally as you go. Then after doing any renaming and housekeeping you do a fresh backup.

Good question. The B3 will not be able to identify the CD because its digital fingerprint will not match any known CD. You can certainly rename the album, artist and tracks manually after you have ripped the CD. You can also add album art manually. I don't think there is an automatic way to name the tracks but I have asked Paul for his advice. It will depend on how you created the CD from the cassette. You can email us at thebrennanb2@gmail.com and tell us more about the CD[s] and we may be able to help more

Very Good Product
Very pleased to have bought a Brennan B3+. Delivered the day after order and very well packed. Very easy to set up. Connected to WiFi and firmware update within 10 minutes. First cd ripped a few minutes later. Found the Sonos players. Initial problem was that playing through the Sonos was patchy and the web interface indicated that the WiFi did not have enough capacity and the buffer was emptying. This may have been the case as trying later in the evening it was fine. Over 50 cds now uploaded a day later. One issue I have is the use of Royal Mail Tracked with no signature. In my experience Royal Mail are quite capable of losing tracked items and their tracking does not always update. Whilst Royal Mail said they had the package, it was delivered by a third party who basically just left it on the doorstep without bothering to see if we were in. We have quite a lot of pedestrian traffic so anybody could have taken it! I would suggest a more secure delivery partner given the cost of the item.

Thanks for the five stars and the feedback. Glad you are enjoying your B3+. I once had a problem with wifi that was OK in the morning and poor in the afternoons. I assume it was activity in the neighbourhood but I fixed it 100% by going onto the router admin (Virgin) and fixing the channel rather than auto. Royal Mail and Parcelforce have merged and I have used Parcelforce for more than 10 years - because they are good - although some depots seem to have a poor reputation. I will keep an eye on this but am allowing some time for their merger to settle. Our insurance covers all goods in transit but I have noted your experience.

Only had my B3 a few days. WOW!!
Only had my B3 a few days, loaded nearly 100 CD's that we haven't used for ages, listening to music we haven't heard for years. Intergrates really well with our whole house Sonos system. Our daughter has cancelled her Spotify account and is loving having loads of choice from CD's she's never heard before. Thank You.

Brennan B3 - Not up to the hype
I am a sound engineer of 20 years 'trained' experience and familiar with tech so I wanted to store my 500 CDs digitally and sell the 'rarities' thinking my whole collection would be manageable from my laptop and play via Bluetooth headphones 90% of the time rather than through speakers.. The advertising led me to believe this was possible. How wrong I was!!!! The B3 failed to work as indicated on the product data in conjunction with Bluetooth Headphones or with my Computer and I-Phone via the app and despite hours of effort by me. Troubleshooting and AI searches failed to solve the problems and I found reviews by others of the same difficulties. The item is not fit for purpose as advertised IMHO and I was sad but am confident that a wi-fi/bluetooth amp and my laptop music player will allow me to achieve my aim. I fully complied with the returns policy but whilst I got a notification it did not include my £10 DPD postage Charge or my £22.95 Royal Mail return cost. However this was eventually rectified and I am not out of pocket as a result of the experience. I am however retaining my 1 star rating as the connectivity and music management performance is not up to the price level being asked. I could have bought a dedicated laptop and CD ripper working with Exact Audio Copy software and Foobar 2000 music player/manager and get great sound through my Bluetooth Headphone Sorry guys......start again but this time start with the sound and communication software and get that to a competent and user friendly standard.

Bluetooth out isn't the most common use pattern but its been in the software since the B2 - so about a decade - so we have many thousand of owners who use it. So I am sure we can help.

Thanks for the update - glad you got the refunds - just to be sure I checked the timings of your email and the refunds and they were all within the promised times shown on the returns page - a bit longer than our average admittedly. Thanks for letting me know of the ear buds you used - Ear Fun Pro.
I should ask - how do you get on with Bluetooth earbuds? I tried them but couldn't live with them - too uncomfortable. I use Bluetooth headphones on flights though. I should add for the benefit of readers that Bluetooth uses SBC (sub band coding) or similar which is a compression technique like MP3 - so its not as good as wired speakers, wired headphones or Sonos if you want perfect reproduction.
