I purchased a tin of wood preservative online on a Bank Holiday weekend, and picked up the tin from the local shop. On opening the tin I found that the colour was a lot more orange than I expected - it was labelled Autumn Brown and looked like a reddy brown on the colour chart. I thought the tin had been wrongly labelled as it looked closer to Autumn Gold.
I contacted Customer Service and received an immediate reply and was advised to return the tin to the shop for a refund.
The shop staff were really helpful and when checking a tin of Autumn gold it became obvious that my tin was correctly labelled but the colour did not match the online colour chart.
A refund was immediately offered, and they then checked all the alternative tins of preservative to find a colour that met my requirements. The Brewers Fence preservative proved to be the best match and it was cheaper than Cuprinol. However, the Brewers preservative was a lot thinner and require more coats, but the end result was excellent. A First Class service that many other suppliers should copy!!

Just a bit disappointed that I was told off by the assistant or manager upon collecting, as I ordered the wrong make and when I asked for a refund was told it was made specifically for me, making me feel a bit guilty.
I did get the refund but I felt she was a bit reluctant to give it.
Won’t stop me coming in again though, I just thought it was not necessary to tell me.

Always fantastic advice and service from the team at Brewers in Uckfield. I’ve had the confidence to tackle my own painting and decorating thanks to them. 5 rooms down. 5 to go.

Ease of ordering, friendly staff, ease of parking

I am a new customer. The assistant was not able to answer my questions concerning discounts on products and what discounts I had been given on my on line order.

I also found out Uckfield do not deliver orders. OK but did not tell me they voukd transfer my order to another branch.

The staff were very helpful and I was called by the uckfield branch as soon as the items I ordered were ready for collection.
