low or no stock in shop, ordered for collection no information on when, emailed them replied after 3 days stating a day I would get an update that didn't happen cancelled the order to reorder via delivery, they increased the price in the meantime, asked to price match no reply in 2 days

Extremely disappointing experience.

I purchased a lens from Camera World and paid for next day delivery as I needed it for an upcoming project. After waiting a few days with no delivery, I emailed them and was told delivery would take 3–5 days and due to a delay end of the week or start of next.

The following week came and I still hadn’t received the lens or any further communication. I tried calling several times and after a few days of trying, finally managed to get through to one of their stores. I was then informed that the lens would actually still be another few weeks.

As I specifically needed the lens for a project, I had no choice but to cancel the order and purchase it elsewhere.

I was told I would receive confirmation of the cancellation and that my refund would be processed within five days. Unfortunately, just like the lens I ordered, neither has arrived.

I’ve since tried emailing and calling, but I’ve had no response. I’m now left in limbo without the lens and without the few thousand pounds I paid for it.

Delays can happen and I completely understand that, but the lack of communication and having to repeatedly chase for basic information is unacceptable, particularly when such a significant amount of money is involved.

For comparison, I ended up ordering the lens from Wex instead. They delivered it the very next day as promised, and their customer service has been superb. The difference in service has been night and day.

At this point, I simply want confirmation that my Camera World order has been cancelled and my money refunded.

I was contacted and told my money had been refunded and that it would take 7-10 days to reach my account 15 days and still haven’t received my refund. Tried to contact via phone and email and still no reply or answer.

Nothing wrong with the purchase. Paid for next day delivery on a lens as I needed it for a campaign shoot asap and wanted to make sure it was here in time. Received an email saying there was a delay with the lens and it will be with me in 3 days time latest. (this was cutting it a bit fine but did come through and LUCKILY I was able to reshuffle my day to receive lens.)

I emailed asking for money back on next day delivery service I PAID for and have still had no response over a week later.

Camera as described and in fully functional order

I found out what I needed online, asked for purchase options, cameraworld came up and delivered exactly as ordered.

I ordered a camera and lens to be delivered within 1-4 business days. The item was showing in stock.
The item arrived a week later than planned. If I hadn't reached out for information about why it was delayed, I would not have had any correspondence. This was my first purchase with this company.
The prices can be really good, but you may have to trade that off with mediocre customer service.
I would still buy from this company but not if I needed anything urgently or on the the stated delivery timescale. My first experience with Camera World wasn't a good one as they were unreliable.

Fast delivery. Very well packaged. Camera was exactly what we wanted. Thankyou.
Forgot to mention really competitive price.

So i was after a 20-60 lumix lens and the one camera world was selling was a third of the price to everybody else (brand new to boot, but was a sale of part of a kit) Checked the reviews to see if the site was for real it was , ordered and received the lens by courier a few days later having been kept informed of its journey, fitted it to the camera, works a treat. Ordered 3 of the same product that was stated as 'in stock'. No communication after around 2 weeks. I contact them as they informed me they had 2 in the store and I could come pick them up. Went to the store - they had no idea what was going on, send me away without the product. Managed to finally get 2 of the 3 after about a 3 weeks. Still havnt received the 3rd. Useless, tbh. Communication is awful when they even bother to reply or pick up the phone.

Arrived in good time. Purchase exactly as described. Good price too.

Canon camera that I was after was cheaper as an open box. Received the camera within 4 days. Very pleased with the camera which was exactly as described. Definitely recommend and shall be returning to purchase from them again.

Having problems with getting my refunds.

Having ordered a 'In stock' product on Website, then waiting 2weeks with little update and having to chase up the order, i finally got fed up of the extremely poor communications from CameraWorld, I've cancelled the product and got in next day from another company.

EXTREMELY POOR communications and a large company as this should be ashamed and must do better. I do understand that they where waiting for stock but the website clear states it in stock when it wasn't,there was no assistance in getting it sorted or offering an alternative or upgrade with discount.

The lens was well-packed, swiftly delivered, reasonably priced, and fits the camera. It is a spare one for a seven-week trip across Central Asia, just in case the main one fails in any way. I haven't had to use it so far, but so far so good!!

Not great this time, unusually! I'm a fan of your store and services, having bought my camera and lens from you, but this time, I ordered a V90 SD card which I needed for this Saturday. Popped in to collect it today (Thursday) and got told it was not in stock and didn't know when stock would be due. This could have been flagged at the time of purchase, so I could look elsewhere. Have now had to buy elsewhere, so more money gone and have written to you to cancel the order and request the refund, as told by the store to do, but still no acknowledgement of my email. Hopefully ill hear from you soon!

Still waiting for the item to be delivered. Called several times to chase, last time I called, I was told it will be here this week... not arrived yet!! Website states the item is in stock, yet I ordered on 23rd August and still waiting... wish I had gone elsewhere.
