Poorly fitting items and they won't allow refunds. I went off their size guide and everything was too big, reached out to CS and they won't allow me to exchange anything- I wasn't even looking to be refunded(except for the hat, because they don't make anything smaller), I simply wanted to exchange everything and Melissa from CS said No, but reassured me I can reach out for help with sizing (after already going off their measurement guide to begin with) for future purchases....like I would ever waste my money with them again. I tried to leave a review on their page warning people about the sizing-but my reviews mysteriously vanished-so they are deleting any negative reviews and only keeping the 5*. It doesn't make any sense why the reviews would be so high on their site with not a single bad one, yet when you research everywhere else they're less than great - downright bad. Unfortunately I have been buying from this company for 10 years, in store, I was unaware how deceiving they are. Never again!

Canada Pooch has horrible customer service. Their customer service number answers with a recording that says no one is available and then hangs up on you.

If I could give zero stars I would. Similar story to another unhappy customer regarding a coat that’s too small and they flatly refused an exchange. I offered to cover all shipping costs but no was the answer. Period. They don’t EVER answer the phone so one is stuck with email/chat. My advice is to send an email to the company’s founder. Her name is Jacqueline Prehogan and her email is easily found with a Google search. If they aren’t willing to offer the most basic level of service at least we can let the CEO know what a load of garbage the company is.

If you are thinking of buying a parka from Canada Pooch, think twice. I have been a loyal customer and have only bought Canada pooch parkas for my two Yorkies. The first one lasted 7 years so of course they wore out. My second ones I bought two years ago and still in great shape. Now the ones I just bought November 30/2023 the Velcro is falling off so they cannot be worn. Contacted their customer service
Numerous times to have them tell me that the coats were not
Everest explorer coat which I have confirmed by the receipt and asking other stores about the coat and they said mine is definitely the Everest parka. So not only do they not stand by replacing a definite manufacturer defect. They lie because apparently they don’t want to fix the issue. I only would buy their jackets before but never again. These are not cheap and I bought two. They both started by fraying Velcro now the Velcro is coming off. That’s jackets are like new. Worn only a few times
Their customer service is horrible. They say that they want customers to be 100% happy. I was a customer that was 100% happy with their coats. They are beautiful and warm for our Canadian winters. When people on one of the yorkie sites asked about warm coats i always said that Canada pooch parkas were the best. I thought that until I bought these two coats and they had Velcro issues. I just wanted them replaced not my money back. It could have been a defective batch made. Who knows. But when they are telling me that they are a different coats then what I bought and it’s says right on the receipt what coats I purchased. I find it insulting the way they treat customers. I also confirmed with a few other places that the coat and they said mine were definitely Everest explorer coats.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, ordered two Prism Puffer jackets that were a size too small. I contacted customer returns to send back the coats within the 15 day return policy. Since the jackets weren't sent back within 15 days they now will not honor an exchange or refund. As a first time customer I'm truly dissapointed and have two useless products from a Terrible customer service company. Shame on you

Poor Customer Service is the problem. Bought an Artic Air Hat for $ 30.00 in November 2023. It was a Christmas gift for my daughters Poodle. When they came for Christmas, the hat was too small. I notified the company about an exchange and was told it was too late to send back. After haggling back and for, they elected to allow the hat be sent back at my cost, for a refund. January 11, 2024 they received the hat but ever received any communication or exchange/refund. I notified the Canadian BBB, who intervened on my behalf, and the company stated that they sent me a gift card at the end of December. The return hat was in January, not December! Also I never received the card. Now I am unable to contact the company and the BBB is on vacation and too busy.

Canada Pooch is a very poorly run company that doesn’t care about its customers and they don’t even bother with communicating with them. You can’t reach them by phone and it takes weeks before your email to customer service is answered. Their return policy is ridiculous (15 days). They do have some good products, but because of their poor customer service, I highly recommend you not order anything from them.

Poor product and poor customer service. I waited a while to write this to see if maybe they would do the right thing but I have been completely ghosted now. The booties. Not cheap and not well made. Cheap Velcro that doesn’t stay attached. Looks stitched together when in fact it is glued. So if your dog likes to run in deep snow these will last exactly three times before the glue breaks down and the Velcro strips come apart rendering the boots now useless. Called and at first I was impressed with the customer service. Received a replacement pair in apparently the same size but they were not even close to the same width and I was unable to get them on my dogs feet now. So now I’m ghosted. Multiple emails sent and not responded to. My guess is..they gave me a returned pair that were faulty. Or.. there is zero continuity in the production of their product. Either way I do not recommend wasting money on this product. If you use it the way it’s supposed to be used it will fail. They say they stand behind their very well made product however their customer service says something else.

Great Dog Booties for winter walks!
I purchased snow boots for my 65 lb dog so we can walk in freezing temperatures and 6" snow. They work well and stay on. I had a problem with one of the fasterners on a bootie. It broke. I notified customer service and they promptly sent me another one. The booties are easy to put on, well made, have a ample rubber non slip pad on the bottom and an elastic fastener on the top.
Never received my order
I’ve contacted their customer service team over 5 times with no response. I never received my order. It’s been over 3 weeks. Their number doesn’t even work on their website. I emailed, submitted a message via their website, tried calling all their numbers listed, emailed again, and messaged them on LinkedIn. I can’t even report them via my CC since I was given a gift card. Their prices are absurd for this level of negligence. Is this company a complete scam?

I would suggest thinking twice before purchasing from this company. We recently purchased a winter jacket and boots for our dog, their stuff is not cheap. The order was delivered, and we used the jacket and boots during the recent cold snap. The boots would not stay up on his feet, they slouched down causing him to trip. I reached out to their customer and while I am within the 15-day return window they’ve insisted that to return anything it has to be unused, with tags still on. Seriously, how do you know if something is or isn’t going to work if you don’t try it. I suggest buying from someone else who will honor returns if their product does not actually work as intended.

Dismal return policy
The worst customer service I've dealt with within the canine industry. Their return policy of 14 days is absolutely absurd in this day and age. I provided valid medical reasons (with hospital stay) and they still would not allow an exchange of brand new unused items with tags still on!!
Let us also not forget their items are not cheap. For a company to charge for items that are in the hundreds AND to have such a horrible customer service experience does NOT deserve customers.
Booties fall apart
The good news is they stay on. The bad news is they fall apart. I bought these when we moved to the mountains. We only used them a few times last winter when it was super cold and icy. After two uses this winter, two of them fell apart to the point where they are no longer usable. On one, the drawstring broke. On the other, the material over the paw ripped. I contaced Canada Pooch hoping they'd repair or replace them, but they only offered a small percentage off a new pair. Why would I buy more when they are costly and don't last?

If I could give ZERO starts I would! customer service is absolutely appalling!! A disgrace of a company and one to avoid! Never will I purchase from them again! Sweater was massive, measurements way off the sizing chart provided. Chasing response from customer service! No compensation offered and was told I can return the item at my own cost within 15 days! I would if I was in Canada.. but I’m in UK..

Trying to get the 15% off was chore. It's either the IT people there don't know what they are doing or it's a scam. I think they're betting you won't bother following up. But the return process was a joke. Really - what return process? They don't answer the phone and don't respond to emails and there's no answer at chat either. Be aware.
