Why sell a car with problem after problem bought a Mitsubishi sedan for $3000 you had it for 5000 I’m on a pension and it’s had water leak in the hole car you didn’t fix properly had the car for not even 3 months and the gear box went in it now I’m on a bus again because I’m still paying that 3000 dollars loan back and have no car at all it’s a joke how you can sell a car for that price and it didn’t last me that long won’t ever buy a car from car city ever again

I bought a used peugeot from smile autos
whom operate from within car city in minchinbury nsw ,
before I bought the car the dealer installed a new clutch & I went over a speed bump about 7 weeks after I bought it & the motor & gearbox almost fell out of the car because the mechanic that fitted the clutch didn't put the nut on the gearbox mount ,
when the motor dropped it damaged the radiator & drive shaft was torn apart at the cv joint & flung around the engine bay destroying the drive shaft ,
I contacted the dealer & he said it's not his problem & told me to pis off then he hung up the phone on me ,
DONT GO ANYWHERE NEAR CAR CITY ESPECIALLY SMILE AUTOS EVERYTHING ABOUT THE PLACE IS DODGY , THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE,

Customer Service was great. However same day I drive the vehicle home I got a service stablitrak, traction control service light and engine power reducing. Less than 24 hrs from purchase. Took it for an inspection and that shop didn’t go diagnostics but the battery had to be replaced. Have a schedule appointment next for a diagnostic. I’ve only had the car now 6 days. Ironically this was the issue I had with my other car that why I bought another one. Not sure if Car City does any in depth inspections before selling their vehicles. Not a happy customer. Maybe be going through an filing complaints and arbitration. I’m not going 48 months in a lease with a lemon.

The reply following this review is a lie. Nobody called me or followed up that reply is a lie. Further evidence that this is a bad place to purchase a car. Tell me what the year make and model I’m referring to is? I have to take my car back to the shop on Friday for a ignition switch problem and who know what else they’ll find. Hopefully nothing. But the fact you said you thought it was resolved is messed up. Not genuine at all. Very disappointed, you should’ve not even replied if you go lie.

Car City is a HORRIBLE place to shop for a car. They intentionally sold me a car with a bad engine and told me they weren’t fixing it even though they gave me my car with a FULL WARRANTY !. Do not shop here you will waste your money and get ripped off!

Bought a car from car city 3 years ago. While I liked the car the first 4 months I had it it went downhill. It started to leak about a quart of oil per oil change till it started to puke oil out. Turns out that almost every seal had to be replaced which the warranty they offer didnt cover a dime of it. Ps that was about $5000 in repairs alone. 2 years into owning it the radiator started leaking which was another 500$ repair. 2 1/2 years later it started to leak transmission fluid which was about $200 but the warranty finally covered something so it was only $100. Current time it now has a air bag light on which I got an estimate on it for about a $500 repair and my rear defrost stopped working... $300 quote on that. The car was out of comission for a total of 2 months to get fixed( my payment is just shy of $400 a month) it cost me almost $800 for the car to sit and get fixed. I'm not happy at all

Worst car place ever, theydont care about anything but how money they can scam people out of, their cars are junk and overpriced ,,,,stayed away from them

Really disappointed with the management of my file. I advanced 200 GBP as a deposit with the garage after accepting the financing of the car. I signed all the necessary documents. In the end, more funding for reasons that are not very clear and, moreover, they don't want to reimburse my deposit. Really not at all serious. I will file a complaint with the competent authorities.

So far so good ...I had really bad credit and a repot on my report still I qualified for 16000... the truck I wanted was my dream truck but it was 18000 and with some begging they worked it out... I put 1000 down and they matched because nothing is free, the warranty seams to be legit and I'm paying way more than 16gs but they got me in my dream truck.. I'll let u know if it goes left this is only week 1

Leased a car in 2017. Love the car but my payments are high. With my credit I'm not surprised. Traded my car in for down payment. After bringing it home we noticed the back corner panel was loose and living in Michigan snow build up is a issue. Took it back for them to repair. The mechanic guy kept asking me to do a review that day. Well the corner panel still is not fixed. Something about ordering a part? I did take it back. Still love the car but not sure what the deal will be when it's paid off. Their customer service is excellent!! Except for the mechanics. Still not sure why they never fixed it. The ladies that take payments over the phone should be noticed for doing an awesome job! Summing up if you need a car right away and your is not good it's the place to go.
