I am doing a second review for this Company as unfortunately the previous Sale fell through (No fault of Carringtons, their legal team, especially Caitlin could not have been more efficient or helpful. I have been dealing with Management companies for 30 plus years dealing with approx ten different properties, I wish they were all like Carringtons and their staff, unlike most Management Companies, with you Carringtons you actually feel you are dealing with Human beings who actually reply to emails and return phone calls, you also feel they know the blocks inside out and not just a Post Code and a door number, I pay double the service charge at other properties and don't receive half the service. If you are buying a Property that is managed by Carringtons or thinking of giving them a go to manage your Block I feel you will not be disappointed. All the staff I have dealt with there over the years have been good from the receptionist that picks up the phone to the maintenance Managers, I can assure you I am not the easiest customer to please, but a special Thanks to Caitlin the the Legal Department, all the best for the future.

I have just had a reply from Carrintingtons and the reply is totally untrue yet they won’t allow me to reply ? So I will reply by stating I have evidence of every question I have asked and evidence of much more. And a Director definitely added plywood to the bridge. Once more if your reply which i have a copy of, is actually shown to the public, I think you should have checked your facts first as most of this is liable.

Firstly, instead of taking feedback as serious as you say you have why don’t you start taking maintenance issues as serious?
In regards to my abusive behaviour I find that utterly ridiculous given the conversation on my behalf was more out of frustration, I wasn’t rude in the slightest.
My question to your receptionist was asked twice. When will the light be fixed given it’s taken over a month? Why have you taken my number three times and no one update me? Having said that I requested to speak to a member of your management team and your receptionist stated that there was no one in the office to take my call. Seems strange now everyone was in the office to witness such a call as you say! Furthermore, why wasn’t the call then handled by management team?
1. Your side of the timeline. False, my first call was made on the Tues. 14th (11:06) call log on my phone. Happy to provide proof via email.
The voicemail you’ve mentioned is right, it was out of hours due to the light only being switched on 8pm (after dark) this was because I was told the 4,5th time that it was going to be fixed that day and wasn’t.
2. Your side of contact information. Not only have I left my details with the receptionist during your working hours. And so has another resident that’s suffering with the flicking light. That voicemail I had left did in fact have my number and the issue which everyone in your office would have by now known all about. I would be interested for your management to confirm that I hadn’t left my number because again would be pretty shocking to say that I hadn’t.
4. Solution - no one has contacted me.
5. Service charges - that’s what happens when you purchase leaseholds. I pay a mortgage. And four other homeowners backed onto this flicking light including OAPs. I can understand a week maybe two but not over 4 weeks.
You would stand by your team’s dedication, and efficiency but in this instance really hasn’t been the case.
Your receptionist was rude and very unprofessional.
As you say Friday (today) the light will be fixed. Let’s see.

We would like to reiterate the following points to ensure clarity and transparency regarding this matter:
1. Maintenance Issues: We take all maintenance issues seriously and strive to resolve them as promptly and as efficiently as possible. The electrician was instructed to attend to the flickering garage floodlight within the same week that the report was received. We are pleased to confirm that the electrician attended yesterday (Thursday 11th July) and carried out the necessary repairs.
2. Timeline and Contact Information: Our records indicate that your initial report was made via voicemail earlier this week. While you mentioned making a call to us on the 14th and leaving contact details, our internal records do not align with this claim. Regardless, we promptly addressed the issue once it was brought to our attention in a manner consistent with our processes and our client’s instructions. We also do not typically store personal data (i.e. contact details) for individuals or entities not associated with our clients, in accordance with data protection regulations.
3. Receptionist and Call Handling: Your interaction with our staff member was handled according to our Reasonable Behaviour Policy due to the nature of the conversation. Multiple other staff members were also present during the interaction. Furthermore, it should be noted that the same staff member is frequently commended in our verified feedback by clients and residents for their professionalism and courteousness.
4. Service Charges and Resident Priorities: Maintenance and emergency call-outs are funded by our clients’ respective service charges. We, therefore, prioritise issues based on urgency and the impact on contributing residents. Additionally, our clients and residents do receive updates on maintenance issues when appropriate, or as and when requested, as this forms part of the service that our clients pay Carringtons to receive.
5. Timeframe for Repairs: To provide additional context, the local authority within which our client’s development is based advises on their website that street lighting defects can take up to four weeks to be repaired. If an initial call was indeed made to us on the 14th, then this would mean that the light was repaired within the same timeframe in which the local authority operates. However, to clarify, our internal records indicate the initial contact from you as being made this week.
We do sincerely apologise for the repetitive nature of this response, in comparison to the initial response that was provided. We can also confirm that your feedback submitted in relation to our staff member has been investigated in line with our internal processes.
