BEWARE, AVOID at all cost.

BEWARE! Glitchy App, Bad customer service, won't do even an in-app credit back to Chowbus on order never received. We ordered delivery like we did many times before in Chowbus app, app has always been glitchy, this time they show me restaurants both with 5 miles and over 10 miles ( they have long distance delivery). I made sure I entered my address correctly on top and it says "Deliver to", and search for the cuisine, then proceed to order from a restaurant. Then, as the time goes by, I didn't receive the delivery, chat with chowbus and the customer rep was like a robot repeating same crap to brainwash customers, first telling us our order is now a pick up, and blame it on us making a mistake for what their glitchy app did. We never picked up the order, it was way too far with traffic. Again, I did not choose "pick up" , we entered address, it says "Deliver to", then the restaurant came up in search, we ordered... And, there was also no clear confirmation when placing the order clearly showing if it was a pick up or delivery. To be courteous, knowing sometimes mishaps happen with the app, we asked for an in-app credit to make sure this money will goes back to Chowbus later. It's like giving your client a free meal for bad experience. But, service rep keep saying no and keep arguing that they cannot cancel because it is a pick up order, then, blames customer again and keep saying they cannot see any glitches on their end ( check their app store reviews, app issues all the time.). Asked us to provide screenshots knowing glitches are random... Also, they can see how many times I've ordered with them before without a fuss, and they are willing to lose a long time customer over $150ish. Since they blame the customer for their garbage app, and said they cannot do anything about it, only the restaurant can issue a refund, then what's the point of Chowbus? That means Chowbus is useless as a platform. AVOID Chowbus!!! Save time, money and trouble... There are a lot of good platforms out there. Chowbus's drivers also never follow instructions.

Deceptive Company Delivers Spoiled Food

I should have checked all the negative reviews before trying ChowBus. Yes, you will get spoiled food delivered to your door and customer service doesn’t care. I pre-ordered dim sum with a 5-8pm delivery window. Other services like Caviar or Uber Eats would send the order to the restaurant right before intended delivery. At 1 pm I get a notice that my food was being prepared and thought it very strange. Why prepare food hours before it’s supposed to be delivered? After work at 5pm I called the restaurant and they said the driver picked up the food between 3-4pm. The order arrives at 8:30pm spoiled, cold, and leaking. Needless to say the entire $50 order went straight to the garbage. I contacted their customer service and all they did was issue a $5 credit for my food being slightly late and forward my comments to their team to make future improvements. They ignored my requests for a full refund back to my CC. So you’re saying it’s ok to put people’s lives at risk by delivering meat that has been sitting in conditions where disease growing bacteria grow best for at least 5 hours? 41-135 degrees is the danger zone and the order arrived at 80 degrees. Even for a so called “long distance” which was never indicated on the app, it doesn’t take 5 hours to drive 5 miles. Order at your own risk if you want to get serious food poisoning and terrible customer service. This company routinely violates health codes and doesn’t care.

Support local Asian businesses, but don't use this app

Customer service representative are all rude and didn't even let me know they were from Chowbus. It was just a random number from Florida and then the representative had the audacity to yell at me and rush me instead of taking her time to talk to me about the situation. Great idea on the app to help other Asian businesses out, but horrible customer service.

I ordered food for pick up at a Schezuan Garden On 105th and Broadway NYC and used the online ordering. My poor nephew went there to pick the food up and waited for the food until the time ‘ready for pick up’ time was up. He waited for 45 minutes only to be told that the restaurant didn’t take orders via online google page!! Meanwhile Chowbus already charged me 56 bucks for the food I did not get. BAD BUSINESS! And when you try to call Chowbus there is a VM that is not set up. Now I have to deal with disputing this charge with Amex.

Don’t use chowbus. Their food takes extremely long to deliver. By the time it arrived to me it was cold. App issues telling me the driver had my food when he didn’t. Horrible customer service. I rather use other delivery apps than this. Never again

@ChowbusOfficial Ordered the food on 5:25pm tonight, the food was ready on 5:56pm! It took Chowbus 1 hour to find a driver. The status never updated until I messaged the customer support. Now the delivery estimate is 8:31pm. Come on! 3 hours for 20 minutes drive???!!!

Also, the driver didn’t take a route any gps would suggest. He is hanging around in the middle of nowhere instead driving on a free highway leading to my house!

They ruined my family reunion on thanksgiving day!

I ordered lunch for the family on thanksgiving day through Chowbus. It’s supposed to e delivered between noon to 2:00pm. I was confirmed the order around 9:00am. However, I received a call after 12:15pm from Chowbus saying my lunch order has been canceled because the restaurant is not open for today. My whole family was waiting for the lunch delivery at that time and there was no time for us to prepare other things. When I tried to solve the problem with their customer service, they just rudely disconnected me. At last, they just ignored my request message. Thanksgiving day is such a important family reunion time, especially after long time not seeing the rest of the family during the pandemic. It is really unfair that the Chowbus team is so irresponsible! They could at least notify me a little earlier. Even before today, they have barely delivered within the time window they promised. Don’t trust this business. Service is very bad and customer service is rude and irresponsible!

terrible customer service and logistic. I placed an order and waited for 2 hours for nothing. The company couldn't even manage to confirm what is happening. I continuously asked to cancel or replace my order but they kept me waiting for another 30mins, apologizing and doing nothing!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

Just as everyone has said before DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DELIVERY SERVICE. Made an order at 12pm to a restaurant only a few miles away. The customer service on the app was no help at all (Yu Mei). At 2pm we called the restaurant and they said the order had been picked up 1 hour ago. So now, even if we do get our food. It will have been sitting around for over an hour without proper heating or storage. Terrible service and no reimbursement. Please do not order from here!

Worst customer service

They don't have a customer service department. I placed an order by mistake, and sent a message to cancel right away. Someone contacted me in 15 minutes, and told me that they couldn't cancel my order because it was too late. So I felt like I was forced to have something that I didn't intend to order. It is very difficult to navigate through their system. And there are many hidden fees associated with it. Be careful! I would not recommend this platform to anyone.

We ordered dinner on Friday and it was scheduled to arrive at 8pm. The food did not come until 12pm. My friend was in constant dialogue with the customer service people who were utterly useless and disinterested. They kept saying the food would definitely come and when refunds were discussed, they were completely non-committal. They also refused to give an expected time of arrival at any stage and the driver drove within a couple of blocks of our house numerous times during the night without delivering.

If you want to to ruin your Friday night, then order Chowbus, or, the NO Showbus.

They had one job

They had one job. One single job. I was having a party, and that dude must have been blind because he crashed his god darn car into one of my friend's car parked on the curb. There was another side of the street where he could have parked, but he did it on the side filled with cars. I will never use this service in my life again, I will stick to Uber Eats. I have no hate for the Asian community, and I have a lot of empathy for what they are going through right now. People are getting killed just for going to the grocery store, and I see how this service could be useful for those who want to have a full stomach, while still eating the food that they have grown up with. My experience was bad, and that's it. I don't think everyone will go through this experience, just want everyone to know. Please still support the asian American community, but probably in an another way. Thanks, and I hoped this helped you.
