Amazing place! We were reserved at first as prefer to eat in Spanish restaurant while in Spain but this place is heaven… Seafood grill for 2 people is made to perfection, fresh and full of flavour! Tuna tartar is a piece of art and Andrea is a magician not a waiter! Will be back for pizza!

Already read a few of the reviews on here from disgruntled members, but very few tell the truth of their actions/other issues on site.

Ciao UK is not an Amazon site just yet where short feedback reviews can be posted up, but rather in depth quality where analytical approaches in user experience is relayed to benefit buyers. After all, why does Amazon have a new Q&A section - evidently the feedback reviews don't go far enough at times with info.

Ciao has always been a different website to all of the feedback style review sections on buyer websites. For a start you get paid for quality content.

Also unlike Reevoo.com you don't need to produce a receipt to every product you choose to review. Ciao UK also offers a video review section where members can post their own video review content.

Writing every review to the tune of 5000 words will not automatically get you respect, but rather a happy divide between actual user experience of the product purchased, owned and with relevance to actual stats, thus reiterating the actual ownership findings and not reliant on product stats, which can often be wrong.

Having read a few posts on here regarding Ciao isn't exactly true. For a start all surveys from the company ceased in 2010. The emphasis on worded content from consumers via members signing up appealed to Ciao in Europe as the main concentration of the site's profit.

It is impossible to make a living from writiing for Ciao.co.uk although the money earnt is a bit of a bonus and slightly higher than paying blog sites.

However, a certain degree of etiquette is often required for Ciao - a factor that most new members fail to read up on. The reviews for Ciao UK by Ciao UK members do exist on the site already for example, but few are read by new members.

The biggest mistake to make is to provide too much information that lacks actual product centering or too much biased opinion. Negative reviews from the start for example won't generate much interest, as will rants about particular services.

Too much off topic padding turns away members who have to rate the reviews in order for your account to accumulate money and it is the same vice versa. After all they can simply Google info regarding the history of a pop band or a particular singer's awards received.

Most new members start up "churning" with short posted reviews in order to get rich quickly - but Ciao UK is not a quick get rich scheme. However unlike other review sites, reviews posted can be edited, changed and receive updated ratings, provided that the new member sends a message to members concerned. Ciao will not automatically notify all the reads you once received. It adds to the community feel that Ciao have tried to instil on the site.

Although the sites were updated in early 2013, Ciao's latest approach to list every product on their site via Amazon websites has come in for some criticism. Searching for a product review on site is now impossible for example before being taken to Amazon listings that provide seller information.

Since December 2014 Ciao UK has also seen a large run of fake members signing up and reviewing 1st to review products and where it is evident that the content provided isn't actual ownership experience. Permanent block from Ciao UK will occur if fraudalent activity is performed on the site.

However Ciao are already investigating actual worded content, particularly where info written and submitted by new members sit too closely to other sites online. Copying is not allowed for example - you have to work hard for your money on Ciao and the Ciao concept reiterates this.

As of December 2014, Ciao's content team have stopped adding individual products in several categories. This isn't a policy that I personally agree with, but it could well be a sign of the times. Perhaps the quality once standard on the site is perhaps beginning to affect certain departments that are making less than profitable decisions. (c)NR2 2015.

Tried, for nearly half an hour, to leave a review on Ciao, about a Breville Deep Fat Fryer we'd bough that leaked. Got to the 'Publish Review' bit, and simply got a message 'Alert', with an 'I' symbol next to it (presumably 'information' but clicking on it produced no results.) Went back to the review and there were no data fields highlighted - so what's it about? I wondered if it was due to the box saying 'How much did you pay?', so tried 'thirty two pounds'. then got a data entry message saying 'text too long.' Tried '32.99' got a data entry message saying wrong format. Tried just 'thirty two,' and got the alert message again, with no data fields highlighted - i.e. back to square one. Pointless waste of time, so gave up at that point.

But for anyone who's interested - since Ciao aren't, obviously - the Breville VDF064 - 2L Compact Deep Fryer we bought 8 months ago, leaks. Had to bin it.

This is one of those sites that seems to have adopted the mantra of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" - and like it implies, there is nothing functionally wrong with the site, all the links seem to work and you eventually find what you are looking for, but as far as user experience is concered, it is pretty obvious that it has been neglected the past few years and looks like what I would imagine a new website to have looked like in 2002.

I ditched Ciao surveys when this happened: A few surveys I took were 'lost', Ciao did not award them and c-s said no-records found.
Ok so I started to write/take down not only the survey no. date reward but also surveys' address from the address bar, what the survey was about, screenprint of several pages... Then it happened again, a further ciao-survey I completed was lost but this time c-s could not deny I took it since I was able to provide several info about the survey that were available only if you took it (as described).

So c-s said that this time they were awarding it but not anymore in the future if s.thing similar happened. I found this attitude unacceptable and close to dishonest because I take a survey as I know what I will expect from it, either a payment-reward/points or prize draw. I can only trust prize-draws BUT if I know I will be rewarded £xx for completing a survey I EXPECT THIS to be awarded!!

I now think Ciao c-s attitude TOO BAD! And I Don't Like to be taken for a ride!

A user review site is a site where the user talks about their experience with a product or service.

What Ciao has become is a site which focusses on filling the reviews with unneccesary content such as product specifications and very little of the user experience itself!

People are more focussed on earning money than providing useful reviews on this site!
