Lovely cottage in a beautiful peaceful location. The downstairs living space is very spacious and split over 2 levels, with a large kitchen/dining/living room and a second living room with plenty of additional seating and lots of space for storing outdoor wear and hanging coats. The bedrooms are cosy and have enough space to store/hang clothes, and the beds very comfortable. There are beautiful views from almost all of the windows/doors in the house. The house is great for dogs as there are no carpets, though thankfully with dry weather all week we didn’t have an issue with wet, muddy paws. One thing to note if you have an inquisitive dog is that the large garden isn’t completely enclosed. We decided to keep our dog on a lead when outside which reassured us that she couldn’t wander off. Great base for exploring the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast and enjoying the many coves and beaches. Would definitely recommend and hope we will return one day.

Crabhall Barn is in a superb location and in most respects is extremely well equipped and comfortable. It has so many positive attributes that it seems churlish to criticise it at all, but the double bedroom is cramped and both the showers are difficult to control, especially as regards the water temperature. These minor faults are massively outweighed by the good points, and we very much hope to return to Crabhall Barn next year.

Location, Location! The setting of Crabhall Barn is unbeatable with the view over the Pickleridge ponds spectacular seen either from the patio or garden or from comfy chairs by long windows if raining.You need go no further than the Griffin in Dale. For us having cooked on an Aga for over 40 years it was a real treat to have one in a holiday home.A really restful and relaxing place to stay.

Crabhall Barn is a spacious property, set over three levels. It is in a beautiful location, overlooking an estuary (note that you are not permitted to actually go down to the estuary) with easy access to the local village of Dale where you can enjoy the beach / eateries and hire kayaks etc. The cottage is particularly well located if you plan to visit Skomer Island - which I thoroughly recommend. The kitchen is well equipped - with ample pots, pans, cooking utensils etc. There are a couple of reasons I gave it four stars rather than five. Some of the fixtures (e.g. in the bathrooms and kitchen) are rather dated, albeit they function OK. Also, the owner's cottage is immediately adjacent to this one - if they were visiting at the same time you would have less privacy than you might imagine from the photos. I would very happily stay here again - it's a solid 4+ star cottage in a very beautiful location.

The place was superbly located,but rather 'tired'. The bathrooms needed significant upgrading (particularly the showers). It would have been nice to have had the minimum of 'welcome'items (eg, milk, water, wine). There were not even salt, pepper or oil provided. It seemed that the company were more focused on selling 'welcome hampers', than providing a few basics. As the nearest shopping facilties were some 30 minutes away, this was especially irksome.

Beautiful location with walks from the doorstep.Impressive barn. Huge castle like kitchen with Arga & walk in Larder. Loved the castle like staircases. Nice to have morning coffee in the sun with the morning sun shinning on us overlooking the lagoon. Loved hearing the wild sea birds song when outside. I left my bedroom window a jar especially. . Parking at the door Enjoyed a wonderful seafood Tapas meal at Cocoa’s in the village, where the staff couldn’t have been better.

This property is in a fantastic location overlooking a wildlife haven for birds. The adjoining SSSI is full of ducks and seabirds bobbing on the lake. The barn has been expertly converted and provides comfortable, interesting accommodation. An AGA keeps the kitchen warm and is great for cooking (my wife tells me!). The kitchen is well equipped and has a big dining table. If you want a quiet, scenic base for a holiday this is very hard to beat. The access roads are quite narrow after you leave Haverfordwest and patience and caution are required at times! The barn is a 15 minute stroll from the seaside village of Dale which has a pub and sailing club but no shop. My advice is to stock-up with food and drink en route. You can't nip out for a pint of milk! Overall we rate it as one of the best venues we have stayed in and that is after 45+ years of self-catering.

Amazing location! Barn was cosy and warm. A pint of milk would have been great on arrival. No tumble drier ☹️ The heating system was noisy and water tank in the bedroom dripped and trickled all night, not good for light sleepers especially as the silence at the barn is so amazing. Have booked again 🙂

Beautiful location, with fantastic views. Lovely, roomy accommodation with some interesting individual touches. One mile walk from Dale, down a reasonably quiet road. Accommodation did feel like it could have been better cleaned, quite cobwebby and dusty with ants in the kitchen. Liked the barn, space and the great views.

Beautiful property, fabulous location. Quiet, close to sea, and lots of walking/running trails. Great safe beach for kayaking and paddle boarding, and able to hire kit locally at a reasonable price. House wasn’t as clean as it could have been, bathrooms, toilets spotless, but cobwebs here and there, dusty in places, and mouse droppings in the main bedroom. Saw past that and had a good week.

Crabhall Barn is in the most amazing location, with its sheltered private gardens overlooking The Gann lagoon. A bird watchers paradise, and also within easy walking access of The Gann. It’s close to Dale which has excellent cafe and pub, plus water sports too. For us the best room, and most used, in the house was the huge Aga kitchen/ diner which was an absolute pleasure, with amazing views, always warm and cosy and felt very homely indeed. We’ve stayed here many years ago and returned as we loved the location so much. The house has maintained its character and quirky aspects, but we felt it would be even better with a few more upgrades/ modernisations, hence 4 star not 5.
