quite simply the WORST out there

quite simply the WORST out there. i remember when this company USED to be the BEST when it came to reviews. Today it is a shell of its former self. I had a membership for literally 1 hour, tried to find something and found there wasn't a single review for the product i was looking for.

i asked for a refund (they state before you buy, you can cancel AT ANY TIME) they just forgot to tell you they will NOT give you a full refund, even if you had it for an hour.

tried to contact CS, good luck with that. NO ONE there. What a company. I've disputed the charge with AMEX and they told me there are PLENTY of folks they try to roll for a month's worth of membership.

how embarrassing to be this company. i can only imagine what it's like to work there (shuddddddder).

LG LIFE IS NOT GOOD FOR ME

I bought an LG 1500 dollar tv from conns. I had it for 3 months it went out and I called and told them it took 3 weeks for someone to come and try to fix it. I took pics of the tv the day I made the claim there was no scratch or mark on the tv. Well in the process of waiting to have tv fixed my cat unfortunately knocked it over. I didn’t think up much about it since they were coming to fix it. Unfortunately I was told the tv is know longer covered with the warranty because my cat knocked it down while on the floor. It’s terrible how fragile these expensive tvs are and I regret buying it. It cost 1500 dollars just for the screen sand price as the tv. I’m extremely heart broken and LG LIFE ID NOT GOOD!!!!!!!!! Customer Service is awful

Customer Service is awful. Refused to refund a subscription autorenewal I had forgotten about. I called on the day I was charged. They refused to issue a refund. Must be desperate for subscribers that they can't do the right thing

CR should be reporting on LG warranty problems

Consumer reports reviewed LG as a top appliance company. How can this be? LG has had a known compressor problem for years and LG is no longer servicing this product but rather LG is forcing customers to take it to arbitration. Shame on LG and shame on consumer reports for not sharing this information. It's not how shiny an appliance is when it's new but rather how many LG customers are stuck with a POS fridge. Read about LGs linear compressors for the true story. I question CR other product reporting.

Consumer Reports May Need Help

I was looking at home security cameras on CR. After reading their assessment for their highest rated model I went to Amazon and read the reviews from customers who purchased that model. They were all one star ratings and customers said the product was junk and would not recommend buying it.

I bought a Consumer Reports…

I bought a Consumer Reports subscription for 21.40 (special pricing for all sorts) After trying to get online to use it after setting up the account password I couldn't access the database that they advised I could. I canceled the subscription. I requested a refund of the 21.40. I had been a member for approximately 90 minutes. I was told my refund would be pro-rated to 17.00 since they had already sent out the Aug/Sep magazine issues. The CC payment wasn't even processed the next day. After I raised a stink with the 17.00 I found that the following day a "refund of 14.98 was to be processed Not 17.00 NOT 21.40. Neither the payment nor the refund shows "PROCESSED" two days later on my CC??.

I was just totally scammed by this site…

I was just totally scammed by this site and they charged me for something that I didn't even receive the service on and it is a horrible misleading site that sucks you in with misrepresenting the actual content of the application and the fact that they would not refund the charge for a service that was never received and they are supposed to be the best place to get info on other products etc? Would not recommend the site to anyone waste of time and money

It appears Consumer reports has sold their reputation

Consumer Reports has apparently sold out their reputation in favor of money! Always proud of the fact that CR would never be used to promote a brand or product you’ll now here first Subaru, now kia are stating openly that one car or another is “ a consumer reports “ best buy” or that it rates highest in safety. I have been a member of “ Consumers Union” for over ten years and, if this truly is a change in policy I never voted for it or approved it. It appears that the consumer board has gone rouge and just gone ahead with this decision on their own without consultation of is loyal membership. Shame on you CR

Do not use Solenergy

I recommend not doing solar panel work with solenergy. Almost two years my landlord signed us up for them . January 2023 they came and put them up. March/April of 2023 they became activated however my bill kept coming and hers was the only one that stopped. she continued to reach out to the sales rep that had every excuse under the sun for why he couldn't talk or not return her calls. So I wrote a review on their page and finally got a response that way . November/December of 2023 the sales rep decided that he would start paying my bill until he could get an electrician here to hook me up to the panels that I am not hooked to for some reason. landlord was told it would be right after the first of the year. It is now may 2024 and I have had issues with him the last two months ignoring me and coming up with excuses as to why he is not sending me bill money when he says he is going to . Today he told me that setting up a time for someone to come hook me up to solar is not his field of work so he would have to connect us to that department. Needless to say I have an email from a higher up that states if we have an issue we are supposed to talk to him not the company.
So if you want solar panels and to actually be hooked up and running from them do not go with solenergy.

Vivid Seats

Vivid Seats. Bought tickets to a performance in Florida when I showed my ticket at the box office I was told they never do business with Vivid. I had to buy a new ticket at the box office. After the show I checked my charge card the ticket for $125. was charged, plus an insurance vendor applied $16. they called Event Insurance that Vivid instructed this company to add in case I had an emergency during the performance. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY..... VIVID SEATS

I always was able to trust CR however

I always was able to trust CR however, the new crop of young reviewers seem to be lacking and I'll go so far as unethical. They rated a cheap BBQ that I know is poorly manufactured over well know brands like Weber or Napoleon. When I challenged them on specific points, they did not address any but rather told me how proud they were of their staff. I cancelled my subscription right after that.

Do not order CROCS online

I ordered a pair of crocs, Brooklyn slides. The look nice online, but were a bit too clunky when I received them, so iopted to return them. I paid about 75$ for the shoes and returning them would have cost me about 35$, which to me is absolutely ridiculous. I shop online alllll the time and never have had an experience like this.

Ridiculous customer service

After purchasing a simple table lamp from the new Sainsbury's store at Southport. I returned home, plugged it in and it would not switch on. When I returned to exchange it, I asked for it to be plugged in to confirm it worked. However the customer “care”? assistant told me it was against H&S regs because it hadnt been pat tested. So in effect on those grounds they were selling goods which could be faulty so would need a pat test before use. This seems to me like taking H&S to the extreme. He wouldnt even let me plug it in. Consequently I will avoid Sainsburys again for any electrical goods

Car totalled. She hit us so hard I pushed the tow hitch a foot and a half forward.popping spare and buckling frame.i was doing 20-25 mph she swears she was doing 35 mph. They said it was my fault. Still can't hold job very long, shoulder bone on bone now hurts constantly. Pops randomly. Had to have surgery, when I woke up from surgery I was told" everything went great it's going to be fine"! ," but, you can't go back to lumber mill or construction". All I knew. Oh before I forget I was in shock world spinning just climbed out of wreck when a crooked Hillsboro Oregon officer was laughing in my face handing me citations. GEICO already had me at fault and refused to change it. Unless I could get tickets dropped.If I could get tickets dropped, they would change the at fault. So when I had them dismissed, GEICO refused to reverse at fault. Demanded I go ask judge why they were dismissed.after a couple months of no work and inability to, I was sent 2 pip checks.a few days later my bank cards kept being declined. I finally had to go in and handed my cards to US BANK rep/ teller. Who grabbed and cut them in half. A day later I received notice.: due to check fraud my accounts were frozen and being force closed. GEICO had placed stop payments before mailing pip checks to me. So I had no bank accounts, couldn't work, finally got diagnosed with an extreme labral tear in left shoulder. Turns out The lady who was only doing 35 had GEICO as well. We received notice that she received new car replacement and $47,000, we lost our bank accounts, vehicle, career, dignity and home, worse most poor Christmases ever. I'm still sorry to grandkids for that. The one witness, who lied his @$$ off, whose information on police report is illegally blacked out all but the name "KEVIN CRAMER". Though I have called every single office of his in N. DSKOTA, to see if it was really him, and why would he lie like he did, but never an email or return call. Though another question I have is where was your wife while you were following this young blonde in Oregon so early in morning. This would explain why 7 attorneys dropped me by email after less than a week, with little to no explanation. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER use GEICO. Again. For any reason. Or UD BANK who accused me of fraud and when I tried to pay my credit card bill with my little cash was asked if it was counterfeit, because I willfully committed check fraud. I will never be at 100% in my left shoulder. I was actually told I should file for social security, since I can't hold a job for long now, and can't do what I know. And turned 50. I have another review coming for them. In closing did I mention that I had the sense to take pics immediately after wreck. Which prove the police report a complete lie. Any one who asks I'll show proof. I never got my day in court, could not keep an attorney for some reason.the law and insurance I overpaid for are suppose to protect me. Not bend over backwards to destroy my life. Almost 18 years with GEICO an 19 for US BANK. All because I was going to work early.... 11/02/2018.this won't go to exact date and I will prove my facts upon request. So whomever gets to publish or not, I BEG you to request. It's not libel, or slander. It is the truth I'm still paying for in pain. Daily. Lost everything can't work. Let them threaten to sue me. Please. Publish the truth please.if they threaten you, your sn impartial publisher, with proof of every last word. Doing your part to protect consumers from faulty products, dirty cops, disloyal husbands who are also crooked politicians. I hope Kevin cramers wife and friends read this. Maybe his wife will make him pay for ruining a man's life.by throwing congressional authority around.trustpilot protect yourselves first, but when threatened and told to remove this send them a pair of steel tied workboots . Cancelling membership

I called the 800 number to cancel my membership. Was told my membership automatic renewal would be cancelled effective January 2025. I asked for a prorated refund of my recently autorenewal payment in January 2024 and was told no that was not possible! I was told the best they could do was cancel the autorenewal in 2025. I expressed my disappointment and asked to be connected to the little survey they ask you to take. Marisol then explained to me how I could donate to CR - I told her I am not doing anything to support CR - they are not supporting me and they are supposed to be consumer oriented. Please connect me to the survey. I was promptly disconnected!
