Ho acquistato una polizza base da 18€ e spicci per essere in regola con gli adempimenti relativi al pilotaggio di un piccolo drone in Italia. Tutto ok, ho stipulato la polizza online senza problemi, ho pagato e ho scaricato la documentazione in italiano e in inglese direttamente dal mio account in mezz'ora. Poco dopo é arrivata la documentazione via e-mail.
Aggiornerò la recensione se mai avrò bisogno di aprire un sinistro (spero proprio di no) oppure se deciderò di aumentare le coperture.

Please avoid this company! I made the mistake of choosing coverdrone for drone insurance and after giving them my money for over two years when it came to me needing to use my insurance they did everything they could to not cover me. I had made a mistake in the serial number section so they declined cover even though the serial number is noted as 'Optional' on their website. They are a hugely unhelpful, unfriendly company that do not care about their customers. After feeling pretty devastated that my brand new Mavic 4 Pro drone was dead I send it to DJI for repair even though the drone was totally beyond repair after the crash, I was expecting a hefty repair/replacement bill. DJI paid for me to send them the drone on the Thursday, they received it by Friday then Monday morning I get an email saying they are replacing my drone and lost battery completely for free. By Tuesday afternoon I had a brand new drone and battery even though I had no insurance with DJI and the crash was fully my mistake. I immediately purchased Care Refresh with DJI and have learned the hard way that CoverDrone.com are a waste of time and money. If you have a DJI drone please insure it directly with them, absolutely incredible service.

Stipulato il contratto base da 19,99 il 01/09/2025 , dicono di essere celeri nel mandare la documentazione del contratto...ma così non è purtroppo , ho mandato il messaggio su whats'app al numero che loro dicono di inviare , mi è stato detto che ci vogliono dalle 8 alle 16 ore lavorative , quindi 2gg ....ad oggi non ho nulla in mano ne mail ne pdf del contratto assicurativo stipulato, allora ho contattato un loro collaboratore che ora dal 01/09 /2025 non collabora più con loro proprio perché mi ha detto che una azienda così quando vede che i numeri di clienti e di contratti sono molti deve essere strutturata ben per poter dare un efficiente servizio e loro peccano molto in questo ... tra l'altro preciso che ho scelto loro cioè Coverdrone , proprio perché questo collaboratore anche su canali youtube ,Facebook, istagram sponsorizzata questa società... quindi mi sono fidato ... concludo che , se un cliente stipula un contratto di assicurazione con voi , non lo fà perché quel giorno non sa che fare , ma perché forse vuole essere in regola con le vigenti regole in corso , nel mio caso e in altri che leggo cosa succede, ....che io ho pagato per un contratto di assicurazione che parte dal 01/09/ 2025 ed a oggi ancora non ho nulla quindi per il momento 2gg è mezzo di assicurazione persa , e ancora non so per quanto andrà avanti questa situazione...

Preventivo rapido e indolore, facile stipulare la polizza più adatta alle vostre esigenze, con possibilità di averla base base oppure con tutte le aggiunte a vostro piacimento, inoltre la somma è abbastanza contenuta al momento contando che è obbligatoria per legge, non ti spennano come con le auto, ho pagato €18,5 per una polizza annuale base per uso ricreativo . Non mi piace invece che non ci sia PayPal come metodo di pagamento, quindi devo dargli tutti i miei dati della carta di credito, vi prego di sistemare la cosa perché è molto poco professionale, sembra quasi un sito truffa che chiede direttamente la carta di credito ed è possibile pagare solo e soltanto in questa maniera.

Mio marito ha sottoscritto e pagato la polizza. ( 97 euro)Non gli hanno mai mandato via mail il contratto! Chiesto restituzione soldi, stiamo ancora aspettando e sono passati due mesi!

Al momento non ho ancora usufruito della copertura in quanto non ne ho avuto bisogno. Ho chiesto comunque informazioni su cosa servisse al livello di documentazione più altre info. Il supporto è stato cordiale e veloce nelle risposte (via email).
Ricordo che la copertura sul drone copre in caso di danni accidentali e non in caso di usura!
Per il resto continuo a fare l'assicurazione civile e del drone con loro.
Ottimo rapporto qualià/prezzo!

Couldn't be happier. We had Coverdrone insurance for a holiday in Europe. I very stupidly lost our drone in a tree. Flight data submitted, and claim approved very quickly.
Reps were helpful and whole process was simple.
Would absolutely recommend.

I have used Coverdrone for a number of years for my commercial drone insurance. At renewal last time round it was offered to me to insure my other ground based equipment also (cameras, laptops etc). This ground equipment policy has proved to be expensive and worthless.
I have never made any previous insurance claims, however my camera suffered an internal issue last month which happened randomly and meant the camera could not be used, costing my business money and stress due to needing to source a replacement fast. I hoped Coverdrone could at least assist in someway by covering the cost of a hired in replacement, or assisting with the cost of repair... Unfortunately they didn't want to know and put this random event down to 'wear and tear' and therefore didn't want to provide any cover whatsoever.
Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal wear or aging - A camera completely stopping working at random during normal use is not natural and inevitably occurring damage.
The representative on the phone said that if this damage was caused by myself (if I had dropped the camera / got it wet etc) then it would be covered, but I am not covered as I did not cause the damage - Make that make sense!

Il processo di sottoscrizione è molto semplice e veloce. Tutto si svolge online in modo educativo. Il pagamento mensile mi ha sorpreso, perché sono riuscito ad assicurare il mio drone senza spendere molto. Tuttavia, ciò che mi ha davvero sorpreso è stato il servizio post-vendita. Ho avuto un incidente con il mio drone e hanno risolto tutto in meno di 24 ore. Mi hanno aiutato a ottenere le informazioni di cui avevo bisogno e sono sempre stati molto veloci nel rispondere. Vorrei che tutte le compagnie assicurative fossero così. Grazie mille!

I've been insured with coversdribe for my personal drones for around 4+ years.
I've been in a claim situation with them, and they always seem happy to help. Claims are dealt with quickly and effectively, being hassle free.
I've sound most of their staff are very helpful and very willing to help out.

I have been reading a lot about this company before to buy an insurance policy for my drone. Also because I live in Italy and Coverdrone is based in England. I have then ask some questions to the customer service and they quickly reply. I have after purchased the policy. After few days for personal reasons ( increasing difficulties to fly in Italy ) I have request to cancell the policy, giving back the drone to the supplier. They did within few hours. This is my experience. I don't know about claims, but like we say in Italy " Il buongiorno si vede dal mattino " which it means " you learn of a good day since the early morning ". So, it has been a nice early morning for me and I would trust Coverdrone for the rest of the day.

Hands down one of the best services I've ever had,MY CLAIM GOT APPROVED AND ITEM SHIPPED WITHIN A DAY, I crashed my DJI avata into a waterbody recently on a hiking trip to the mountain, I registered the claim on 25th Sep and as soon as I submitted flight data, CAA details, proof of purchases etc they approved my claim today on the 26th Sep and just received an email saying my item is shipped, Extremely happy with COVERDRONE, I would 100% recommend them over every-other companies out there 😊

Customer care is ZERO
When you try to claim you get stupidity put as a response when your claim hanfler is on leave the other person who takes over does not lookj at the claim history or anything in the past and makes mistakes. The company does not handle customers with respect and I will be reporting the issues to the Finanacial Ombudsman
