I bought a bike last year. The sales person, Mark, was really good, very knowledgeable, very attentive. The bike he recommended wasn't available and had to be ordered in. I was nervous about buying without trying. He assured me that if it wasn't right I could exchange it. He had been so attentive when selling the bike I presumed that I would be looked after when I was collecting it too.
Unfortunately, the aftersales service really let me down. The problem was that there was no aftersales service. When I collected the bike I expected to be fitted to it but I was just handed it and that was it! The person who gave it to me was very polite and pleasant but he couldn't even lower the saddle for me. I wasn't able to try it out and he told me that, because it had been ordered especially for me, I could not exchange it. I pointed out a clicking noise that came from the bike as I pushed it. He said that, if I had any problems, they would be addressed during the safety check after 6 weeks. I tried riding the bike on a couple of occasions but it was very uncomfortable and caused severe pains in my shoulders.
I brought the bike for the six week check and pointed out that I found riding the bike to be very uncomfortable. They did nothing to address the fit. I put the bike in the shed and left it there. Last week I tried it again and the whole disappointing experience, and shoulder pain, came back to me. I organised a fitting and Gary was brilliant but, in the future, you might give your customers a little more time and share your expertise after they collect their bike to make sure they are happy! Or include a fitting with Gary to ensure they are happy riding away. I did send an email but got no response which is why I am posting a review for other potential custoners.

Had a lovely experience buying my first road bike. I tried out a few bikes and found one that was just right. The bike was ready same day for me and I am very happy with the helpful professional service we received.

There’s a good range of products available in store, and the staff are generally helpful. My first visit was particularly positive and felt very welcoming. On subsequent visits, however, I found the level of engagement and guidance wasn't quite as strong, with assistance tending to be very basic. The staff are young and perhaps new so it might have been that. Pricing also appears to be on the higher side compared to some other retailers, particularly for items such as tri suits, wetsuits, and cycling accessories but its all high quality. I didnt really get the advice and guidance I wanted becuase it felt like they couldnt give it.

Mick was brilliant with advise. Good value for money. Great bike and accessories.

What a great shop, it's great to visit. A feast, and a nice coffee too.

For me, Cycle Superstore do have a huge range of bikes and products but when you're looking for something very specific, the staff themselves each specialise in certain areas, which really worked well for me.

In short, I ordered the product I hoped for and got the advice I needed to buy exactly what was going to work for me. To top it off, on the day of collection, the pick up experience I had and follow through with after care etc was absolutely brilliant.
