Mails die daar over gaan bewaard, maar wetrn helaas niet war het mis ging maar kunnen niet opbouwen op afgesproken moment. Hun fouten maken wij met de problemen.slecht beurt gemaakt dorema
Great quality and value seasonal awning
I’ve had my seasonal Starcamp Dakota Lux awning up for two years now, so I wanted to give an honest long-term review.
Overall, it has been fantastic. I opted for the steel poles to give it extra strength, and I also purchased two additional steel roof poles for added reinforcement. Given the amount of heavy rain we’ve had recently, I’m really pleased with how well it has performed — it’s been absolutely solid and very reassuring in poor weather.
My only slight criticism would be that the side panels could benefit from better-quality zips. That said, this may well be something Starcamp have improved over the last couple of years.
All in all, I’m very happy with the awning and would happily recommend it, especially for seasonal use

great. had a starcamp mistrol arrived 3 days after paying relly good awning allready had one befor when thay first came out in 2018 still going stong but it was time for another but couldednt belive it thay have done alot of upgradges making it a even better awning thanks
Absolutely do not not buy the dormeo xl…
Absolutely do not not buy the dormeo xl president we bought this awning from the caravan show in 2024 and they told us the roof was part of the Isabella design and fantastic for the uk climate so we decided to purchase one and this season in June 2025 the water pooled on the roof so much that the poles bent and we had to replace them. October this year 2025 the caravan site owner rang me to say that the roof of the awning has detached itself from the rest of the awning the stitching is absolutely not fit for purpose it just literally falls apart the material has torn and frayed all over I have never in all the years of caravaning ever experienced anything like it. Customer services don’t want to know they just blame the weather conditions!! ( blah blah blah ) ours was the only awning that dismantled itself because the roof stitching is so diabolical the pictures we took wasn’t enough they are just not interested. So please be very aware of purchasing anything from this company. It’s only got 1 star rating because it won’t let me continue to write the review without tapping the ratings it should be 0stars
Bought a brand new inflatable awning…
Bought a brand new inflatable awning put it up once ,then put it up on another trip and basically it had loads of tiny holes which is from the cheap airbeam plastic.
When I phoned customer services they had their excuses already.
Apparently taking down the airbeam in cold weather causes small holes in the airbeams.
Absolute tosh,it's the poor quality materials rubbing on the casing zips.
Then they've got to cheek ti ask for £70 for a replacement.
I would 100% stay away from this brand.
Customer services will fob you off with all the excuses, so that they don't have to replace their shoddy products.
Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at All Costs – A Deflated Product Backed by Deflated Customer Service
We purchased the Starcamp Quick and Easy AIR MHA 265 LOW Top Awning (also known under the Dormea brand) with the expectation that it would live up to its name. “Quick and Easy” might describe the setup—but also how quickly it breaks and how easily the company disappears when things go wrong.
After just three uses, the internal inflatable beams
began deflating. No damage, no misuse—just a complete product failure, echoing what countless others have already reported on Trustpilot and elsewhere.
But if you think the poor quality is bad, wait until you experience their non-existent customer service. Emails go unanswered, calls ignored—they simply refuse to engage. You’re left stranded with an expensive, faulty awning and zero support. It’s as if customer service is just a concept they’ve heard of, not something they practice.
It’s clear this company has little regard for the quality of their products or the people who buy them. You will feel just as deflated as the awning they sold you.
Do yourself a favor: avoid the stress, the wasted money, and the endless frustration.
Stick to a reputable brand that actually values its customers and stands behind its products.

Magnum Airforce problems
We bought a Dormea Magnum Air force 260 with left and right annex in 2023. It arrived Dec 2023 and we didn't get to use it until August 24. Immediately we found a problem with the zip leaking between the main awning and the annex's, if the wind is coming from the front or rear of the van. This was due to the flap that covers the zip lifting in the wind. We contacted Dorema and the supplier, A&E leisure and we were informed it's was a weathering in process and that the awning was not laying perfectly in flat ground. What caravan pitch is perfectly flat? Well a year down the line and the dam thing is still leaking on a good hard standing pitch. We are away now and there is still water coming through the zips, it must have had two weeks worth of rain now over the year. For an all season awning it is terrible.
The specs say that the zips are YKK, well the are on the main awning but not on the annexes. The zips are terrible quality, very fiddly to use on annex as entrances.
Some of the ladder tie down strap fittings have pulled off with hardly any force being applied. Not the ladders but the fittings the ladders go onto attached to the awning.
I have ended up putting extra eyelets in the skirt to help take the pressure off the ladders.
Some of the webbing buckles for the webbing guide straps have snapped as the plastic is very weak. New ones arriving from good old Amazon tomorrow.
If this is an all season quality awning then I would hate to use a light weight awning.
Maybe I just have a Friday afternoon awning. It reminds me of a old Landrover I once owned, sorry had an emotional roller coaster with.
Cannot see the point in contacting Dorema again just to be fobbed off again. I will never buy Dorema again. In fact I will probably start legal action under the consumer rights act 2015 as I am pretty convinced this is a manufacturing/design issue and the awning if not fit for purpose. You cannot call an awning all season if it leaks through the dam zips.
Poor quality avoid
Bought a star camp magnum air through glossops awnings at the caravan and motor home exhibition in Birmingham in Oct 23 received it within 4 weeks but was unable to use until may 24 used it again in Aug 24 and the next in April 25 we put it up and went to close the door and the zip broke so unable to close the door, used it again in may again put it up only to find in the morning that the poles had gone down we pumped them up and went out for the day came back to find they had gone down again. Contacted glossops and were told we only had a years warranty on it so I contacted dorema as on their reviews said they have a 2 year warranty but yes said that we had the cheaper one so only got 1 year, we paid nearly £1000 for this awning so you would expect it to last longer than 2 trips out in it.so we have had to pay £100 to have the zip repaired. So avoid star camp awnings as the quality is very poor.

Onze nieuwe Onyx ten heeft wel geteld 1,5 week gestaan. De voortent, luifel en slaapcabine met een aanschafwaarde van meer dan 4500 euro.
En Dorema vind het dan coulant dat dat we nieuwe stokken kunnen kopen voor nog weer 700 euro…
Helaas horen wij nu vele horrorverhalen over Dorema, dus bij deze onze waarschuwing. Er zijn zoveel andere, zelfs betere en goedkopere partijen die vele malen meer service leveren.
75% van de stokken zijn gebroken of gebogen, van zowel de voortent, als de luifel als het slaapgedeelte.

Star Camp Quick & Easy awning - AVOID
I bought a Dorema Star Camp Quick and Easy Air awning 265 last year. Only used it 4 times for quick weekends away. On the fifth use, the air pole inflated, then deflated almost immediately. As there is only one air beam this rendered the awning useless.
It is one month out of the 12 month warranty, but even so, they have agreed to replace it and are shipping a new one out to me. So good service.
I am still concerned about the quality of the air bladder though, it seems very thin.

Diamond XL 270 Awning
Received our awning, annexe and carpet. We did have to wait 6 months for delivery due to issues with the material supplier which was a little inconvenient, however Dorema offered us a free carpet as compensation.
Our awning has been up for several weeks now and I have to say it is a lovely awning!
Very well made, great material, not too tricky to put up and looks fantastic! Really good size and we’ve not had any issues with it so far, holds up well against wind and rain.
Everything looks like good quality and the poles very sturdy
Overall were very happy with it

Dorema Daytona issues
We bought a Dorema Daytona awning but could not erect it correctly. Having been a caravanner for 30+ years and a camper before that, this was the first awning or tent to defeat us! The roof and walls all looked "saggy" and out shape, but the biggest issue was the roof which collected large volumes of rain water.
Dorema agreed to test the awning for us, so it was shipped back to them and they confirmed that there was no problem with it.
Eventually Nick Clark (their Area Sales Manager) came to see us while we were on holiday in Keswick and showed us the correct way to erect this particular awning. We have since erected it ourselves and there has been no problem with water collection.
Whilst we are really grateful to Nick for all his help, and to Darren Butlin and the Dorema team for all their support, I do think that an improved manual or a video on YouTube could have made our life much easier over this period.

Superb customer service
We purchased a drive away air awning at the Malvern show and the wonderful Stuart Stratton not only let us borrow a dolly to get it back to our camper van, he also came back with us and gave us an in depth demonstration of the correct way to erect it, ensuring we had the right fit. He was happy for me to video him so we have a record of what to when and in which order.
We are so grateful to Stuart for going the extra mile in customer service and we are so happy with the awning.
It is strong and sturdy and easy to erect and gives us so much more room.
Absolutely delighted with our purchase and can't thank Stuart enough for all his help and knowledge.

Dorema 260 as
Bought a Dorema 260 awning, both left and right annexes and inner tent and carpets from glossops with our new caravan. Guys in awning department were very knowledgeable and helpful in listening to our requirements and guided us through all our purchases. Because we bought so many items some were missing but when told they immediately dispatched the items with no quibble's. On our first outing last weekend somebody approached me on site and questioned me about the awning so I showed them it all. They were very impressed and said they were going to look at one as a replacement for theirs. I also note on your site a sub canopy is available and will be purchasing this very shortly. Thank you for all your help at Glossop’s.

Quality
First met Luke at Glossop caravans with what I thought I wanted, a 390 awning and I was dead set..no budging. Luke then started to explain the flexibility of having the 260 and an addex and it made far more sense. We waited until the show last October as we hadn’t taken receipt of our Buccaneer Bermuda by this point. Saw Luke again and ordered the magnum airforce all season 260 with the left addex. Have used it once in June so far and we’re so impressed that when on a visit to Glossop again, we ordered the right addex and the carpets too, which arrived the next morning. This is such a great product and feels really good quality and definitely know we(and Luke😊)made the right choice. A very professional set up with a very knowledgeable team.
Thanks Luke and Dorema.. would definitely recommend

I bought a Dorema air awning
I bought a Dorema air awning, which by the way is fabulous, but I thought I had a problem with it, so I took it to the Uk headquarters and talked to a really friendly person who explained the workings of the air system but he took the awning and tested it for me on the same day, at no cost to myself, I certainly can’t fault the level of service and would not hesitate in recommending Dorema awnings.
