They were very honest and helpful.This is my second car through them.It was easy and a quick process.
This company sells cars that are already failing mechanically! They fix them up enough to make them seem like they are in good working condition until you drive them for a few weeks!! I Purchased a car at the end of February from Drive Time in Gainesville. Within one week the car was stalling while driving! Called the warranty company to inquire about getting it repaired and was told where to take it. Took the car there and was told they could find nothing wrong with it. Suggested I change the oil and air filter which I did. Warranty Company paid for the diagnostic. Car drove ok for a few months then started stalling again. Engine light came on. Took the car in and was told that it needed a Camshaft and a crankshaft sensor , so had that replaced and oil changed again as well as an engine flush. A few weeks later the car started to idle roughly and it needed 2 engine coils and 2 spark plugs. So I had that repaired as well as an oil change again! Fast forward 2 1/2 months to the beginning of November when the car started idling at 1200 RPM. Took it to mechanic AGAIN and was informed that the engine had blown up….only 80,000 miles on the vehicle!! So, my mechanic filed a claim with my warranty company Silver Rock. They sent an adjuster out to look at the car and my mechanic said he was a total jerk. He had my mechanic drain the oil and said it looked dark (had just been changed in mid August) so there must be sludge in the engine….mind you the engine was just flushed in August!!!! My mechanic tried to give my service records to the adjuster and was told “I don’t even need to see those” we are denying the claim for improper vehicle maintenance!! How could there be improper maintenance when I had a boatload of service records including 3 oil changes, replaced sensors, replaced engine coils and spark plugs and an engine flush in that 7 months I had the car!!!!! So now I’m fighting with the warranty company to try and get them to cover the engine replacement! I’ve had to contact an attorney who will now be contacting the warranty company as well as Drive Time on my behalf and I’m also filing a complaint with my states attorney general and the better business bureau! I was sold a car that was clearly already failing and had just had “bandaids” on it to make it appear in decent condition. Now I’m stuck making payments on a vehicle I can’t drive!

I would never recommend this company to anyone. We didn’t even make it home with the car we bought. We were broke down in the side of the road. It has been a nightmare ever since. This car has been in the shop 4 or 5 times and still is not fixed. Take your money elsewhere!!

I purchased my vehicle from drivetime in Gainesville Fl towards the end of November 2024, now 2 months later of me having the vehicle it is knocking. Took it to an in service mechanic and they said i needed a new motor and Cadillac converter. My warranty does not cover the Cadillac converter so they want me to pay $5k out of pocket for this part when i believe that is not fair one bit. Also the oil was not changed when i purchased the car so now there is dirt and sludge all in the oil. Highly dissatisfied and will never use drivetime nor recommend them to anyone.

This was the best experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. Everyone was pleasant and professional, they were also very personable. The entire process was quick and easy and I got all of my questions answered. I will definitely recommend Drive Time to my family and friends. When I purchase any future vehicles, I will absolutely return.
