Bought a cheese hamper as a present for my brother-in-law. Very impressed it turned up nicely packaged on the requested day a d my brother-in-law loved it 🥰

I ordered the game pie and was really disappointed. It was very dry and chewy. I will not be ordering again

I have only consumed the honey roast mini ham to date, along with a few slices of bacon. My wife found the bacon over-cured and salty: I found the ham tough and forgettable. We are taking the extra large pork ple to my son on the coming weekend, so watch this space. This experience contrasts sharply with our former. So be it!

The middle back bacon with rind, old fashioned but absolutely delicious, just like my mum cooked years ago.
The Porchchetta best I have ever eaten as was the ham hock.

The item is marketed as "A comforting artisan fish pie" but I would suggest that a golden mashed potato pie, with broccoli filling, melted cheddar and zesty capers with microscopic bits of salmon, would be far more appropriate description, as the only fish in my pie were 3 x 3mm pieces of salmon. I am fairly certain that you will defend the issue by stating batch compliance, declared fish weight, average weight legislation, and internal manufacturing controls etc. were all adhered to however, such a response would not address the substance of my concern, but whether the description “layered with a trio of tender fish — coley, haddock, and salmon ” and dubious advertising photographs creates a misleading overall impression for the average consumer.

I am aware that smaller pieces of fish may break down into the sauce during the cooking process but to leave 3 miniscule bits of salmon is staggering and unacceptable.

As this issue concerns product description and consumer interpretation rather than manufacturing accuracy, I will be referring the matter to Trading Standards for independent review.
I do not wish to accept any goodwill gesture, as my concern is one of principle and consumer clarity rather than compensation and to warn other buyers not to waste their money by buying this product. Yes it was tasty but you can buy a fish pie from Lidl which is also tasty BUT containing large pieces of fish for 20% of the cost of this pie.
Please do not waste your money on this item as there are other outlets where you can purchase a better quality fish pie and so much cheaper,

I was gifted a beautiful hamper for Christmas from my son & it was absolutely exceptional!
Including both sweet & savoury products everything was really delicious.
The ham was just so tasty - I was hooked!
The shortbread, honestly, was the best I'd ever tasted!

Cumbria curles I found no flavour but cooked well.
Gourmet Cumberland sausage rolls too solid did not like hot or cold.
Lancashire cheese & Onion pie's good flavour and best of my order ,so unfortunately will not be ordering again

Every thing arrived safely and was in good condition, sausages lovely and topped up freezer. The cider mixed with whiskey is a brilliant product. Well wrapped in their own box now .

We love pies,all kinds and have mostly found that the pastry is the stumbling block but these are just right for us.
We tried the bacon,cheese and potato and this gets our thumbs up.
Steak and ale next,and certainly will buy more pies and other produce,the delivery was quick and everything was well packaged and had kept chilled.
