Bought a Ecovac robotic mower and combined strimmer . Build quality great cut the grass good as for strimming it didn’t work . This machine cost me just under £1000 and if I had just wanted a mower I would have bought the Segway for just under £700 .. I am in the process off getting a replacement but dealing with aftercare is a joke so thinking about getting my money back

This is not my first purchase from this company. I bought 3 vacum robots, one as a gift and 2 for my self. Unfortunately, one off the robots fail and I sent my original Winbot for a simple warranty repair, but Ecovacs returned a different unit, which was clearly marked “Refurbishment – Grade B.”
It came with a used EU plug (showing rust), no retail box, no manual, and everything was loosely packed in a generic case. None of this was communicated to me in advance, and I never agreed to accept a refurbished replacement.

When I raised this with customer service, they denied that the item was refurbished, despite the label and photos. I also used £104 of loyalty points on the original purchase, which I now cannot recover as I will not be buying from the company again.

I requested a refund, but instead of an apology or a proper resolution, I received repeated denials and delays. This has been a very disappointing experience, especially for a brand that claims to care about customer satisfaction.

I can no longer trust the company and will not be purchasing from Ecovacs again.

The most useless products! I have dumped my robot in the trash after having remapped the whole house for three times which is collossal waste of time. The time I have dealt dealing with wasteful product I can clean myself. Have a new model from a different manufacturer - works great!

What has happened to Ecovac? It used to be brilliant to deal with and now it is an absolute shambles…

I have 4 robots in total. (I have had more but replaced with newer versions).

The Y9 started just going round in circles in August 2025. I emailed customer service. Initially they came back quite quickly with ridiculous questions like ‘have you turned the robot of and on’ and ‘have you reinstalled it’. Once it got beyond these questions this went on an on and the gaps between their responses got longer and longer. Were they hoping i would go away?

This went on and on the 30th Oct I ended up calling where i got a bit further…

I also recently bought a robot with a station but after a couple of weeks. It stopped self emptying I reported this at the same time

They sent me labels to send the two robots for repair. They were collected 6th Nov

On the 20th November I get a note saying this couldn’t find a driver wheel malfunction and returned one robot. They returned the one that doesn’t empty. It still doesn’t empty!!!

I have been emailing customer service since for updates and advice on the situation and absolute radio silence.

I now have:

1 robot that still does not empty
1 missing robot with a driver wheel malfunction

Now my Outdoor Goat (grass cutting lawn mower won’t work. That was £1000. That will be a nightmare if that goes missing too.

I will never EVER buy an Ecovac again after being a loyal customer for over 7yrs.

Absolutely excellent customer service great communication, I couldn't be happier with the result the vacuum broke they took it back no questions asked my refund was prompt all the communication was up front and honest. They stand behind their products.
