Fraudelent business activities. Dishonoring the agreement. Taking hostage of business.

1. Failure to Honor Termination and Withholding Release
Based on the Factoring Agreement signed on April 26, 2022, we fulfilled our contractual obligations and requested a formal termination of the relationship. Engaged Financial was supposed to provide a release letter on April 20, 2026. They failed to send the letter and have ignored all subsequent requests regarding termination.

2. False Claims of "Automatic Renewal"
On April 21, 2026, we mistakenly uploaded one invoice for $1,900. Engaged Financial purchased this invoice and is now claiming that this single clerical error triggered an "automatic renewal" of the entire agreement. The Factoring Agreement (Section 7.1) governs renewals, and there is no provision stating that an accidental upload nullifies a prior termination notice or unilaterally extends the contract for another term.

3. Consistent Overcharging and Breach of Initial Agreement
Since the inception of our partnership in April 2022, Engaged Financial has failed to apply the rates promised by their Sales Director, Ivo Baltic.

Tiered Rates Ignored: We were promised a tiered fee structure scaling down to 1.50%, yet we have been consistently charged a flat 2.75%.

Unauthorized Service Fees: Despite written assurances that ACH fees and invoice fees would be waived, the company has charged us $5.00 per ACH and $2.00 per invoice throughout the duration of the contract

Desired Resolution:

I am seeking the following immediate actions:

Release of Authority: Engaged Financial must immediately issue the release letter for MC# 1280815.

Contract Termination: A formal acknowledgment that the agreement has been terminated and not renewed.

Refund of Overcharges: A full audit and refund of all excess factoring fees and unauthorized service fees collected in violation of our original agreement.

I am the owner of Reliance Moving…

I am the owner of Reliance Moving Solutions LLC, and my experience with Engaged Financial LLC and its sales manager, Alex Holtan, has been deeply troubling. In February 2025 I signed their factoring agreement so they could advance funds against my commercial invoices and help with cash flow. In reality, I never submitted a single invoice, Engaged never purchased any accounts, and they never advanced my company one dollar. Despite that, they filed a blanket UCC lien against my business assets.

I only discovered the lien when applying for financing elsewhere. When I asked Engaged how to resolve it, I was told by Alex that I am “not eligible” for any buyout or release because I supposedly missed a 90‑day notice window, even though their services were never actually used. I requested a clear, itemized statement of any balance they claim and a concrete path to payoff and UCC‑3 termination. I have not received either.

I am not an attorney, but after reading UCC Article 9 and its Pennsylvania counterparts (13 Pa.C.S. § 9203 and § 9509), my lay understanding is that a meaningful security interest generally presumes that value has been given and the debtor has truly authorized the filing. In my case, no value was ever given—no advances, no purchased invoices—yet the UCC lien persists and I am told there is no practical exit because of their internal interpretation of a notice clause.

In my opinion, this structure is highly predatory for small businesses: you can sign dense paperwork, receive no funds whatsoever, and still find yourself burdened with a lien that interferes with future lending, while Engaged Financial and Alex Holtan refuse a straightforward, documented buyout path. Based on my experience, I would not do business with them again and urge others to obtain legal review and written answers on liens and termination before signing anything with this company.

RUN RUN RUN

Beware of this company! They deceived me into signing what I believed was a fuel contract, only to later discover it was a factoring contract. Despite my efforts, they refuse to release the UCC/lien they placed on us, and now they’re pressuring me to sign a new contract—even though the current one hasn't expired!

Their services are designed to trap you, holding you hostage with unethical practices. They are extremely difficult to communicate with, ignoring both calls and emails.

This company has drained my energy and resources. I’m still searching for a way out, but I strongly advise you to steer clear of them!

Warning! SCAM!

Stay away and do not contact this company for services they are a blatant scam. They take your company info and they use it to sign a contract on your behalf without your permission or knowledge. They refuse to release the UCC/lien that they have put on us. Best course of action if this has happened to you is to contact an attorney and contact the FTC to file a report.

An employee named Erik Jurado told me that the supervisor was not available after putting me on hold for 10 minutes. After that he CC'd the team (notices, at engaged financial), and I have emailed them every single day and my emails are still ignored.

RUN FAST

RUN, RUN, Run as fast as you can. There contract is for 24 months. Been trying to get out of contract with them since 4-12-22. Company holding over $2,000 of our company business money thru factoring since Feb, 2024. Will not release me with the UCC stating my contract renewed for another 2 years. My signature was applied to contract from the APPLICATION signed, not contract. RUDE, ARROGANT, STEALS your money. Everyone I have spoken with sounds foreign. I believe it is Foreign run company in the US. Google their address and it show another company at that address. Going to take an attorney to get out from under them. I have an Appointment with attorney Friday 5-17-24.

Would not recommend

Would not recommend, I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone for two weeks now, we haven’t signed anything with them yet that say we signed up with them back in October. Also I can’t get a hold of anyone call or email. Very bad experience, don’t waste your time
