I would give them 0 stars if I could.

I went to the store yesterday to make a return and was told that I was past the 30-day return window. After following up with customer service the next day, I was informed that I actually had until the 6th to return the item which was the exact day I went to the store.

Despite acknowledging that I was given incorrect information by their staff, the only response I received was an apology for the inconvenience. No effort was made to correct the situation or honor the return.

Poor customer service and a lack of accountability have ensured that I will not be purchasing anything from Express again.

Worst online experience

Worst online experience, placed orders online and they had payment failures, received an email 30 minutes later and when I called the told me they were unable to assist and that it had already processed.

0 Stars. Inaccurate Customer Service, inaccurate orders.

Echoing all other comments regarding ZERO stars.
Their associates at stores do not have the same information as their online chat.
Ordered suits for an entire wedding party - they sent the wrong pieces, sizes go in and out of stock - so we constantly had to order 2-3 pieces at a time, fits were off - so we had to return & reorder (different sizes than their measurements), and their customer service was not any help (and sometimes works on mobile, sometimes doesn't - I am using the same phone and their EXPRESS app - so the app is having intermittent compatibility issues).

Started an online chat - so I'd have things in writing. Somehow they cannot find previous chat conversations - even though I still see them in my EXPRESS app; the Customer Service responses were inaccurate; and I was told I'd receive a callback in 2-3 business days, which did not happen.

AFTER finally getting a suit pant and coat for the groom, groomsmen & ushers - and spending thousands of dollars, I went to return the one extra pair that we had to hold until the correct size/fit was actually in-stock at 42 days and they would not do a return or exception.
(EVEN though customer service had said to keep it until I knew I'd received the correct item. Oh and one of the times I ordered and then received a cancellation to my order a day later because it became 'out of stock' again.)

DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Horrible customer service - I just tried to return several items…

I just tried to return several items from my son’s online Express order. I did not realize we were past the return window until going to the order and trying to initiate the return. I was only 2 days past the date! I called the company and was told there was no way to return any item, because the order was closed, and they couldn’t print a return label. I said I would pay for the return shipping, but I was still told no. I then asked to speak with a supervisor, because I couldn’t believe they couldn’t over-ride something on the computer and wouldn’t accept a return with the tags on, even for a store credit. The supervisor had no interest in whether my son would ever be a return customer or not. Unbelievable.

BUYER BEWARE!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!

I recently bought a beautiful top but unfortunately was too small so initiated a return and sent it back within a few days. to my surprise, they sent it back to me explaining it was not in its original condition and could not accept it. I tried it on.....that is is!! tags still attached. I called them and they told me the top smelled strongly of perfume! I don't even wear perfume!! The top only had that new smell to it. I asked what happens when a customer with lots of perfume on goes into one of the stores and tries on a bunch of clothes and then buys none of them. What happens then? Of course they could not give me an answer. Anyway....lesson learned! I will NEVER shop here again!!!

TERRIBLE 😞 TERRIBLE ALL THE WAY

TERRIBLE 😞 TERRIBLE ALL THE WAY. RECIEVED USED DRESS THROWN INTO THE BROWN FEDEX BAG. STILL MISSING ONE PACKAGE THAT FEDEX SEND TO WRONG ADDRESS AND LEFT SOMEONE ELSES PACKAGE IN MY BOX. WHEN I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE SOMEWHERE IN INDIA WITH BAD CONNECTION ,HARD TO UNDERSTAND AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.WHICH WAS ALSO NO HELP AND WOULDNT LISTEN AND COULDNT GRASP WHAT HAPPENED, SO LOST CAUSE ! EXPRESS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FEDEX WOULD NOT LISTEN WHEN I EXPLAINED AND HAVE PROOF OFF 1 DROPED OFF EXPRESS PACKAGE IN MY DELIVERY BOX AND NOT 2 AS THEY CLAIMED. FEDEX IS THE WORST EVER ,LAZY AND WANT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR KEEPING AND LOOSING MY OTHER PACKAGE . ALSO EXPRESS QUALITY STANDARDS ARE NOT THE SAME ANYMORE I WILL GIVE A BIG 0 STAR AND WILL NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

So done with Express

I placed an order on Thursday and paid extra for overnight shipping so it would arrive Friday before I left out of town for the weekend. I even called ahead of time to confirm that delivery would be guaranteed, and was assured it would be.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. My order is now scheduled to arrive Monday, completely defeating the purpose of paying for overnight shipping. Because of this, I had to go out and purchase an additional purchase.

Very disappointing experience. If overnight shipping cannot be guaranteed, that should be communicated upfront instead of giving customers false expectations.

Love the fit, comfort, looks. Do not like the pre-installed rips and tears

I couldn't be happier with the comfort, fit, appearance and durability of my Express jeans. I'm 59 years old and your jeans are the first ones I've ever found that fit me well. I've purchased multiple pair over the last 9 years.
Sadly the Express jeans I just purchased now have multiple small tears and worn areas on various parts of the jeans. I realize this adds character and bling to the younger generation. But as evidenced by my loss of hair, cataracts, and ever-increasing daily aches and pains, I'm old. And most old people, I think, prefer to put tears, rips, holes, ect. in their clothing themselves. If it's not too much trouble, could I possibly but one or two pairs of your jeans after they are sewn together, but BEFORE the tears and holes are added? Also how are the tears and holes produced? Do you have a machine that does this, or a crew of jean-abuser people. If you use jean-abuser people, can I apply for this job - I have lots of experience in this area?
Thank you again for making such a great product. Even with the pre-installed rips and tears, these are incredible jeans.

Scam

Scam. They never delivered my product. Kept asking for more and more money they said that they would refund. The had me even buy go2 bank cards for them. The bottom line is I never got a refund or the product I paid for because every time I met their “final” payment needed I would be given another bs payment that I had to make.

Express 22 days I have waited for my items you received on February 25.I walked by your store today and after years of shopping with you I didn't go in I will never shop Express again .People need to read these reviews because it could happen to you. THEY keep saying 10 more days they have no plans of giving my money back to me, Express do the right thing Give me my money

Quality of clothes is going down and their customer service is TERRIBLE. They treat customers like an inconvenience, the reps have a script or something that they have to stick to and refuse to help. I tried to get help with a pair of pants that I owned for less than 2 months and only wore 3 times before the back pocket started ripping a hole at the seam. Their return policy used to be 2 months and is now 1 month, maybe because they know how bad the quality of their clothes has gotten and they don’t want to take accountability for their defective product.

The worst experience ever

This was my first and last purchase at Express. Honestly, it was a terrible experience. They sent my items with the security tag still attached, which is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of professionalism. How does something like that even happen?
Instead of properly fixing their mistake, they expect the customer to go to the store to have the tag removed, as if it were my responsibility. That is unbelievable.
Customer service was just as bad. The representative I spoke with was not helpful at all, and when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was none available. Very unprofessional.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I will not be shopping here again.

This was the worst customer experience…

This was the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. They mailed me the wrong item and then refused to provide a QR code for the return, something most companies offer as a basic convenience. Instead, they required me to print the label myself, and UPS charged an additional $4 just to print it. Completely unprofessional. I will never shop with Express again, nor would I ever recommend them.

Horrible experience!!

Cust Service Ref # 533068. Spoke with "Mario." Horrible experience!!! received my online garment literally thrown in the bag; no protective covering and the plastic security tag still on. I called customer service and got terrible reps. Bad news company! The so-called packing slip was ripped in half by someone and crumpled up. Thanks a lot.

Very Disappointing Customer Service

I ordered a dress on 12/24 paying for 2 day UPS shipping. The website clearly stated it would arrive 12/29 or 12/30 so I placed the order knowing that I needed it for NYE. Update from UPS on 12/29 @ 7:30 pm that delivery is anticipated Jan. 2??? Reach out to UPS - item shipped 12/29 😡 UPS Ground!! Reach out to Express - response is that they are refunding shipping cost?? Express blames UPS for lying - call UPS again and they clearly state that the sender may contact them to update to overnight which may resolve the issue. Back to Express, request escalation who clearly states that they are not able to assist. I request that they contact UPS or overnight ship another dress to which she responds “people don’t work on New Years Eve at FedEx or UPS so it wouldn’t help” which we all know is incorrect. Email received afterwards from Express suggesting I find an alternative dress to wear NYE. How can you charge for 2 day shipping and ship UPS ground, then refuse to acknowledge your mistake, apologize and at least attempt to resolve the issue??

Awful

I bought a coat from them in the middle of Nov. It was a Christmas gift. Usually there is an extension for returns everywhere because of the holiday. Nope! I am a couple of days over so they wouldn't let me return it. They could have at least offered a gift card. They didn't do that either I will never buy there again!
