Fine and Country have just sold our house in Wales. We found their service excellent. Gareth conducted the viewings and always informed us that he was there ready for the clients viewing. He also gave us feedback directly after the viewing. He was always professional, positive and polite. Fine and Country Wales also used a company ASAP who followed through with buyers and both parties solicitors. This kept us informed daily at the progress of the sale. I could not recommend Fine and Country enough. Excellent service, excellent people. Thank you.

What a diva!
F&C operate a franchised company and so you are at the mercy of independents but lured by fancy advertising and excessive costs.

And therein lies the issue, if the going gets tough…..

Clara worked hard, no doubt, but when the going got tough, in a hissy fit, she incorrectly accused me of withholding pertinent facts, and she privately contacted my solicitor, which I found incredible seeing as she had sold an appartment a few doors down the month before!

Very disappointed.

I have been pondering completing this review for several weeks and have now decided that I really ought to do so. We instructed your agent Pip Holden to sell our property for us in August 2023, I actually sought her out as we were very impressed with her professionalism when she showed us around another property previously. Let me say first of all that Pip is very personable and I persuaded my husband that we should use her services.

I was aware that she was busy at the time and I actually asked her at the outset whether she was able to take on the sale of our property and she said that it was not a problem. We asked her if the property failed to sell within the first couple of weeks whether there were things she could do to promote the sale, other than just reducing the property price. She reassured us that she had plenty of actions which she could take and she would be in contact with us every two weeks to keep us updated.

We are aware that the housing market around the area in which we live has slowed somewhat over the past few months. In the fourteen weeks our house was for sale with Fine and Country Pip did not initiate one telephone call to us. I phoned her four weeks in, as we were concerned that one family who viewed the property obviously did not have the means or intention to purchase the property and were just on 'a day out' (I discovered this after asking only a couple of questions). Pip returned my call and said that the office would make sure to 'vet' the potential buyers more thoroughly. This was the ONLY contact made by her. After this I was happy with the contact from the staff in the office as they rang me with any queries and potential viewings.

We were hoping that the national coverage provided by Fine and Country would prove beneficial and that we would receive some queries from potential buyers from outside the Sheffield area, this unfortunately was not forthcoming.

We took our property off the market as it did not sell and will be advertising it for sale again in Spring 2024, however it will not be with Fine and Country.

We feel it is important that your potential customers are aware of the level of support provided by he sales agent before deciding to instruct Fine and Country. I am sure it is quite obvious how disappointed we are with the whole process and the time and money (£720 initial fee paid - although we were never provided with a breakdown of what this represents) which we feel has been wasted.

Frightening and traumatic experience: When I got back to Brocco on the Park, a Fine and Country hotel, at 1.30am, sober, after attending a 50th (the reason for my stay) the door was locked. No one answered the phone, nor my knocking at the door, or the doorbell. After many panicked attempts, including calling my husband and waking him up to ask for help, I called my friends whose party it was and got a cab across town to sleep on their sofa. I had very little sleep. At least I had somewhere to go. The hotel had a night porter, but he must have been sleeping on the job. Also they were supposed to give me a code for the door, which they did not do. I was cold, tired and afraid to be stranded on my own in the middle of the night. My essential medications along with the rest of my carefully packed belongings were in the room.
