Kettering super cheap service
Kettering. Asked for a puncture repair at 0900 and they said bring it in for 4.30. They checked it for me, found it was a valve and not a puncture. Fixed it and checked all tyre pressures for me. No charge. Helpful and fast. Thank you for your service today. 1/6/26.

Recently carried out air con Regas and air con cleaning for my Honda civic at Dunstable centre. Not happy with the service. Just did the air con cleaning only. No cooling at all. He told tracking is out of limit and charged 30£ for that. Didn’t get any report for that.

Had 4 tyres fitted
Had 4 tyres fitted, next morning nsf tyre was flat took it back was told leaking from outside bead (didn’t spray it or ramp it up just guessed) told nothing they could do. Had to removal the wheel myself as it wasn’t holding air long enough to drive and found wheel bolts tightened to 195nm (wheel spec 140nm) this caused the locking wheel nut to snap. Called them back after some back and forth they agreed to pay for the locking wheel nut removal yet a week later haven’t responded to my invoice email to pay the £90 removal fee. Do not use this place it leaves your car in a dangerous situation as wheel bolts are not torqued to spec and they won’t admit to a mistake

Booked an MOT 5th May to go at 16:30pm 6th May. Turned up at 16:15pm to be told on the spot my appointment was cancelled and the soonest they could get me in was in a weeks time. The guy on reception was extremely unhelpful and not bothered. Asked how to get my money back as i had paid online and he said he would send an email to the office to process this, which he didn't. Not once did they call me or try to contact me to say this had been cancelled or apologise. He is rude and has no customer service skills. I contacted the head office the next day to explain the situation and turning customers away who arrive is unacceptable. I was told by a manger by refund was in process. A week passed by, i emailed again and was told to go back to the original company as F1 had no orders for my car. I sent them the order confirmation back as proof and they apologised. My partner then had to ring up and was told by F1 that no refund had been processed, so two people had lied to me and told me this was in process. Absolutely useless company and would never use again. Now speaking to other people, they have only ever had bad experiences with this company.
Mucky steering wheel
I had a new tyre fitted at Formula one Shrewsbury.
I was impressed when I saw my car draw up, and the driver take the temporary seat protector off the drivers seat.
But when I drove my car my hands became filthy black from the steering wheel.

Ordered 4 tyres, Rear drivers flat within a Month.
Ordered 4 tyres, told to call morning b4 going to get fitted. They took all wheels off, next I was told tyres not arrived. Told to come back next day. Once fitted after less than a Month drivers rear flat In my driveway. Changed for spare, see crack between groves of tyre. Went back to centre asked to leave wheel / tyre for examination. When I went back I was told a stone did damage, no photo or evidence shown to me off tyre once removed for checking just a stone did damage. So therefore are the tyres they sell not fit for driving on our roads.

When i email to complain the email is disregarded and the complaint closed without any interaction..
I told them I would now go to the ombudsman and was laughed at.
I do not care how long the complaint process takes. I will ensure you have to pay for what you have done.
Mistakes happen. Why lie?

I took my car to get it repaired in your Bolton branch, of Formula one. It had an advisor to get the wishbones replaced. I took it their. And it passed it's mot. However this year it had it's mot and it failed due to a wishbone needing replacing. It was still under warranty. Tha k goodness. So the branch said they would repair it and pay for the labour and parts. However, when I went to collect it. It hadn't still passed its mot. So I went home without it. On this occasion they said they would pay for the parts required. So I've had to pay. Not really happy with this company at all. As you can imagine. You take a it to be repaired and it wasn't done properly and within a year it wasn't obviously safe to drive. They kept promising to bring it back. I didn't get it back for weeks and when I tried to start it. It would not start. I got the RAC out and it needed a new battery. It was totally flat probably from being standing and not used.
Damage wheels and very bad balancing
I have used f1autocentres several times as they are always very good on price of tyres. The staff were very welcoming BUT..
Following have 2 tyres fitted (£250each) driving home I noticed vibrations from the rear. Upon looking there was a lot of weights on the wheel which wasn't required with the last tyres. I then washed the car and noticed a large chip out of the powder coating one of the spokes, I knew this wasn't there prior to getting the tyres fitted. I took the car to a local garage to get the balancing redone, but got them to test the wheels before removing the weights provided by F1 and to quote the garage.... They were miles out!... This has now been rectified at my cost at the other garage and they are now fine.
I reported both issues and they flatly denied any possi le damage they may have caused when I know it wasn't like it before I went. Very disappointed and due to the tone of their emails I would never recommend F1 again.
Outrageous
Outrageous. Booked in for service and mot. MOT went ok, checked next day on service. Oil was dirty and bellow minimum level, Coolant was also bellow minimum level! Didn’t look like they’d anything!
I wouldn’t trust the garage again…..

Very poor.
Bought 2 New Vanco camper tyres with fitting for our motorhome. Turned up at the appointed time for fitting only be to be told they couldn't fit them as their jack was only rated at 3 tonne ( motorhome is 3.5t ). The majority of motorhomes are 3.5t so why sell these camper specific tyres and book it in for fitting if not able to fit. What a waste of my time . Plus side, managed to get tyres fitted at home they came to me and cheaper than f1.
Disappointing experience
Disappointing experience. I have been a loyal customer for years at the Hertford branch with no issues. Having moved I recently had my car serviced/mot at the Harlow branch. After a month I noticed an oil leak and upon opening the bonnet saw that the air filter lid had only been half clipped back on. I then took the car to my local garage to be told the leak was causes by a poorly fitted sump plug. I paid for the garage to replace it and then contacted formula1 to report this. I was then contacted by the area manager and told legally they don’t have to do anything and what I should have done was take it to them to be inspected and repaired. So the expectation is once I knew what the issue was I was to get the garage to get the car off the ramp, for me to go home and contact customer services and await up to three working days for someone to contact me back to then be told to have to bring it to formula 1 garage for it to be inspected all the time still with the leak?
I have now been offered £20 to cover the price of the sump plug but they have declined to cover the labour costs and offered me a £40 voucher. I have declined this, due to the two issues I have discovered my confidence in their ability has gone and I shall not be returning. Overall I am disappointed in the initial quality of workmanship and then the following involvement with customer services

Do not use at all. Went to the tyldesley centre. My car failed its MOT, fair enough failed on back brakepads and a tyre….but also failed because they couldn’t do an emissions test….said my coolant level was below minimum….after checking myself it was wasn’t. Also said I needed a service before and emissions test was done and that didn’t just mean turning my service light off I needed proof!! Exactly told me if they tried to do one my engine might blow up!!! It’s a 2019 A5. Also got told, I’d run it into the ground…what because of new brake pads and a tyre….slight jealously over the car I think. Carl at Tyldesley, hang your head in shame…absolute arse. I wonder if someone else would’ve gone in and he said the same whether they’d have booked a service…complete cowboys!!!

Bought tyres via tyre leader delivered to F1 in burton. Tyre leader advertise £14 per tyre fitting at F1, nothing was said to me until they presented me with a £50 bill for fitting 2 tyres! When I questioned it I was told that’s what we charge, take it up with them to get your money back, really nice helpful guy…not. The had to ask for blue roll to clean my car as there was wet black marks down the back wings and the drivers door. Would not use these guys again awful customer service when there are plenty of good tyre fitters out there.

I originally booked 4 new tyres to be fitted, alongside their 2 wheel tracking service for my LWB van through Blackcircles.com. The day before the appointment I realised I might be running late on the install day due to an unforeseen meeting elsewhere. So rather than risk being late, I called them and the Manager at Formula One said it wouldn’t be a problem and I could turn up at 1pm instead. During that call, he advised they would not be able to carry out the 2 wheel tracking but would still be able to fit the 4 tyres. I called Blackcirlces to advise them of the new appointment time and got the 2 wheel tracking refunded.
I turned up to the appointment at Formula One on the day at 1pm, to be told they wouldn’t do it, as the manager hadn’t told any of the staff of the new time, and I had missed my 11am appointment. Obviously I wasn’t happy as I had changed the appointment time.. but they had not, yet there were 4 staff members standing in front of me telling me they were too busy to do anything, and they all were very disrespectful towards the manager, who was off on the day, and none of this was their problem, none of this was helping me, the customer, who had paid upfront for a service. At one point, one of the staff members even said they wouldn’t even be able to fit it anyway, due to the size of my van.. i knew something wasn’t adding up.
Words were exchanged over their appalling attitude in helping a customer. I walked out to my van, and made a phone call to blackcirlces to arrange collection of my tyres, the situation escalated fast to the point where a staff member was having to physically restrain the most senior person on site (The assistant manager), as he wanted to attack me. One of the staff members calmed him down and he went back inside.
With everything going on, I did not get anyone’s name, so during my phone call, I tried to take a picture of the assistant manager, as he was outside, he noticed me taking his picture and went berserk, again. One of the staff members tried to restrain him but he got through and ran up to the van, he actually tried to get into my van, tried to open the driver’s door and he even punched the van door when he found out it was locked. At this point I was able to start videoing him aggressively banging on the window, while shouting to the person he was on the phone to that I was taking his photo.
How he was made assistant manager is beyond me, the other staff did a better job of handling the situation than the person responsible for the sites wellbeing on the day.
I even sent a message similar to the above about the experience to their customer services link and although the CS representative said someone would be in touch.. no one ever contacted me, so don't bother complaining through their website either, nothing will happen
Go somewhere else, AVOID this company!!!
