Terrible experiences non stop. Customer service not giving me my discounts after someone used my codes. Drivers canceling all the time. Brainless drivers who can't drive properly. Takes forever to get a driver.
I had a very bad experience with Hopp
I had a very bad experience with Hopp. They overcharged me and took more money than expected, using the excuse that the driver had to wait for me. This is not acceptable, and I don’t recommend their service.
Stick with uber
Bad app, drivers are always in the wrong place during pickup (which does not happen with competitor apps like uber), drivers have been disagreable and sometimes aggressive. I had one park 2 blocks away from pickup location, not answer his phone, and I was then charged for making him wait. I was not given a refund for that charge even after a tiresome conversation with the support agent.
Part of the problem is the location service doesn't work well, I had a driver complain to me about how the app's location service doesn't work properly.
Not to mention the 50% off promotion for the first 5 rides is capped at $10 off, which was hidden in fine print.
Very hard to get a ride half the time.
Bad company, bad app. Stick with uber.
Charged for a ride I never took
Ordered a vehicle and no one showed so I cancelled the ride and used another service.
The next day I had a charge for a ride I never took.
Their customer service refused to issue a refund even though I sent them the receipt for my journey from the other rideshare company.
I've now deleted Hopp from my phone. If they are going to take money for rides that don't happen they are not a credible business.

Unsupportive customer support
The first time I used Hopp I was very satisfied not to mention it’s cheaper than Uber and Lyft. But when I used it again 2nd time, they charged me double if the amount when I booked the ride. I contacted their customer support only to be chatting to a robot and said a team support member will get back to me shortly . I gave up after waiting for more than an hour. Never will I use this ride share app. I will go back to Uber and Lyft since I have been using it everyday. Hopp’s customer support is useless.
Fraudulent Driver

...I was then assigned one "Bilal Can Acarcan" but as soon as he arrived at my pick up spot, he called first nut hung up when I picked up the call...
...I then rushed to the White Polestar electric car that "Bilal Can Acarcan" was driving but he rudely told me "what do you want you f@#king chinese?" and told him he was supposed to pick me up...
...He said no and cancelled the ride and took $5.00 from my credit card...
...I then contacted Hopp support and theycthen said that they couldnt do anything aboot it because I was "late" to the ride (I literally was at the pick up spot within less than a minute,so how was that "late"? most rideshare apps give a generous 5 minute cut-off window and then they automatically cancel your ride)...
...If you are ever in the North York area if the cuty of Toronto, then avoid getting picked up by a "Bilal Can Acarcan" who is a middle-aged, medium build, shirt and dark haired with a facial stubble/shirt beard with a middle eastern/turkish accent who drives a WHITE POLESTAR cause He will FRAUDULENTLY cancel on you with a A VERY RUDE ATTITUDE
