Ginsters Peppered Steak Slices have been a favourite for years, however something has changed & they are no longer anywhere near as tasty. The steak content is considerably less and large chunks of p... Mehr ansehen

Normally we love eating ginsters pasty but the last couple of occasions we had them theywere very spicy and full of potato and hardly any meat - very disappointed Eric Belsten Bath

Half the size, more expensive
Half the size, price gone up. I’ve eaten ginsters Cornish pasty’s my whole life. No more now they have taken the p1ss.
Gristle and fatty bits in every single Cornish Pasty.
Dear Elvis and colleagues,
It's now the 23rd of March '26, therefore it's sad but also unprofessional, that you haven't replied to my email sent on the 3rd March.
I've attached 2 photos of the gristle and fatty bits I had the misfortune to find in the 2nd cornish pasty I told you about, in February, because it seems you and Ginsters are in denial regarding how much your Ginsters Cornish Pasty has deteriorated in recent years.
It's been revolting finding this amount of gristle and fatty bits in every single pasty I've bought in the last 2 years or so, hence why I stopped buying them for so long. I only bought the two pasty's I reported to you in because they were on promotion and I hoped things may have improved. But they certainly hadn't improved.
I've also attached a screenshot of Trustpilot's introduction on Ginsters because I'll be writing a review. Unsurprisingly, I'm not the only person who's experienced your decline and disgusting additions in your pasties. Here's their 1st paragraph:
Review summaryBased on reviews, created with AIMost reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, citing issues with quality, such as greasy pastry, lack of meat, and the presence of gristle, grit, and bones. Customers also frequently reported that the size of the products had shrunk significantly while prices had increased, leading to a perception of poor value. The filling was often described as bland, undercooked, or containing inedible parts, and some found the pastry to be raw or soggy. ------------------------------------------------------
Please wake up and smell the coffee and listen ! Please revert to Ginsters OLD practices and meat suppliers and bring back the quality you once had, otherwise you'll continue down this very slippery slope and go out of business before too long.
Regards,
Anne-Marie.
The pasties look great
The pasties look great, but they are full of grissle, totally discussting. Do not try.
Don't buy Ginsters
The pasty had revolting large lumps of gristle in it, the filling was otherwise mush. Soggy pastry despite allocated time in the oven. Uneatable in my opinion. I threw it away. Great waste of money, as I had bought three of them.
as lacking in any of the flavors as stated on the outer packaging
just eaten one of your "spicy sausage and red pepper pasty. what a disappointment it was lacking in any of the flavors printed on the outer wrapper needed a better quality sausage plus additional tomato sauce as the whole was drowned with the chilly and the other ingredients were non flavored as if they didn't exist Please stick to the traditional Pasty's that you excel at , yours Trevor
I just had a ginsters Cornish pasty and…
I just had a ginsters Cornish pasty and after eating them for 20 plus years the last one as the quality is now poo, same price and now a quarter smaller.
Like a lot of other convenient snacks it’s now a lump of dryish poo.
Won’t buy again.
Ginsters pasty disappointment
Having just had a Ginsters pasty for the first time in a while I was totally disappointed with both the size and taste.
Size seemed around 2 thirds it's original size and taste was very bland.
I'm afraid they have truly spoiled there major brand product and I for one certainly won't be buying them again. Shame on you Ginsters!
Vile and greasey
Vile have become worse of late. Will never buy again. Will mail order real pasties.
Did you think we wouldn’t notice?!
£1-70 for a pasty that has shrunk by…
£1-70 for a pasty that has shrunk by half not for me will be getting my pasty for work from Greggs or butchers that your £3 pasty’s a week down
Shrinkation - 227g down to 130g........... same price
Very disappointed to see that the Cornish pasties have shrunk in size from 227g to 130g with pricing remaining the same.
I have being buying the pasties for many years well until now. 100g is reduction is not value for money.
Bye Bye Gingsters, Hello Greggs
I love Ginsters sausage rolls
WI love Ginsters sausage rolls. They actually have sausage meat in them, not like most other brands that seem to use what I can only describe as a sausage paste. The only trouble I have is, Morrisons list them online, but never have them in stock. If I shop in the shop I am lucky to be able to buy two as that is all they have left. I feel as if they are pushing customers to buy Walls sausage rolls as they seem to by over stocked with them. Other supermarkets stock Cornish pasties, steak slices but no sausage rolls .
Ginsters...the low bar for the pasty!
Ginsters pasties really are the baseline for pasties. Awful. Cheek to align the marketing with Cornwall. Greasy pastry, filling almost devoid of meat and not mixed properly....taste like exactly what they are...mass produced mechanically made.
I was very disappointed with these…
I was very disappointed with these sausage rolls.
You would think Ginsters would be a brand that produced excellent well made delicious products, but in my experience this is certainly not the case.
They were tasteless! They have a long way to go to beat Greg’s
Ginsters cornish pasty
Ginsters cornish pasty. Puff pastry, should be short crust. All potatoes and little else. Coming from Plymouth I know what a good pasty should taste like. Theirs is very disappointing

Flavorless Waste of Money
Ginsters Cornish Pasties have gone right down in Quality, Size, Taste & Filling. I was used to having a Ginsters on exercise [ex military].
Now after the last 12 - 18 months I will not waste my money on this product.
Another company pushing shrinkflation
Another company pushing shrinkflation. Just bought a peppered steak slice, it must be only 75% of the size it used to be with a scarce amount of filling. Won't be buying Ginsters anymore!
Size problem
I'll take my business elsewhere, I'm completely done with company's reducing product size to benefit themselves. Long time customer lost.
MEAT WITH A LOT OF SINEW, POOR QUALITY.
THE BEEF ONE IS FULL OF POTATOES AND THE LITTLE PORTION OF MEAT COMES WITH A LOT OF SINEW, DISGUSTING. DONT BUY IT ANYMORE.
All pastry and half the size
By being greedy will never buy one of these originally much loved pepper steak slice again. More expressive half the size and very little filling, all pastry.
As a company you have shot yourself in the foot…… bye was nice knowing you!
