I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the built-in wardrobes provided by this company and their subsequent lack of accountability.

Four years ago, I paid £2500 as an upgrade option through my property developer for two built-in wardrobes. After only four years, the veneer on both units is already peeling off significantly. For a product that costs over a thousand pounds, you would expect it to last much longer than this. This is clearly a case of substandard materials and poor craftsmanship.

When I contacted their customer service team, they simply hid behind their "2-year warranty" policy.

It is unacceptable that a professional furniture company considers a 4-year lifespan for a permanent fixture to be "normal." If you are looking for durability and a company that stands by its products, look elsewhere. I would not recommend their services to anyone buying a new-build home.

Try saying yes sometimes,the only answer I seem to get is no.worst experience of my life,wish I had never bothered.

We have received excellent service from Goodings and we are very pleased with the finished wardrobes, all at a very competitive price.
Matt Hadley helped throughout the design process and Jon Nuttall came to undertake the survey and the installation. Nothing has been too much trouble for Matt and Jon and they are both friendly, patient and professional. Jon was very clean working at our home and always removed his shoes. He wouldn’t leave until we were happy with the finished job and even fixed the soft-close on a separate wardrobe without us asking. Highly recommended.

I had a very positive experience with Gooding Group from start to finish. I dealt with Matt Hadley, who was extremely responsive, informative, and went above and beyond throughout the process. His after-sales support is a real credit to the company and shows genuine care for existing customers.

The engineer who carried out the delivery and installation was equally impressive pleasant, friendly, and highly professional, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gooding Group and would happily use them again.

Gooding group came to fit additional storage rails in our existing fitted wardrobes. The price was very reasonable, the office were easy to deal with and the fitter did a great job. Thanks.

Jon Nuttal attended today to fit wardrobe in congleton. He was excellent. Very considerate keeping area clean and removing shoes when inside. Cleaned up the waste too. The wardrobes look great.

First Rate Customer Service and Installation

Harlea at customer service was extremely helpful and pulled out all the stops to arrange installation before we moved into our new home. She was really patient with helping figure out the best configuration. The installation engineer, John, was absolutely fantastic and top rate workmanship. This is the second time that we have had Gooding's fitted wardrobes and would highly recommend.

Very bad customer service. Recently bought a new build house where they have fitted two wardrobes with sliding doors. One wardrobe the doors align no matter the orientation of the doors. The other wardrobe the doors have to be a certain orientation to align flush with wall. They refuse to come out and say this is how it should be. Regardless I would like the doors to align regardless of orientation. I would not recommend them fitting any wardrobes. Very poor service.

I recently had the pleasure of working with the Gooding Group and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the initial contact to the installation, the entire experience was seamless, professional, and genuinely impressive.

On initial contact I informed Chris that I had recently had a very bad experience with another company who installed some wardrobe doors. The experience was very stressful, and the workmanship was unacceptable. This resulted in them removing the wardrobe doors. Chris was very sympathetic and assured me that Gooding Group would be able to help me. Just a few weeks later my new wardrode is installed and I cannot express how happy I am with it. They have done exactly what I wanted, and they even went to the effort of making bespoke doors for me; what a company.

A special shout-out to Alan, their surveyor, who was very attentive and accommodating and really took the time to find out what my vision was. And also, to Nigel, the fitter, whose craftsmanship and attention to detail were second to none — a true professional who takes pride in his work.

It’s rare to find a team that combines expertise, efficiency, and friendliness so effortlessly. Thank you, Gooding Group, for making the process so smooth and enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to use your services again or recommend you to others.

TOTALLY SHOCKING AFTER SALES SERVICE. WARDROBES NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AS ALL DOORS FAULTY WITHIN 3 YEARS. HAVING INSPECTED AND RECOGNISED THE FAULTS THE COMPANY STATED THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE THEM AS THEY WERE OUT OF WARRANTY. WE ARE NOW LEFT WITH TWO BEDROOMS THAT ARE RUINED BY THE SHODDY QUALITY OF THE WARDROBE DOORS THAT ARE ALL PEELING

When we had an issue with worn fittings on our sliding wardrobes Harley was very efficient and helpful in providing us with the relevant parts. If only all companies were so helpful - it was a pleasure to deal with this company.

We had wardrobes fitted by Goodings as part of the completion of our New House through Persimmons, as we wanted it finished before we moved in. Before the 2 year warranty period ended we were having problems with the doors pulling each other. Dana Hilton sent out a do it yourself maintenance sheet, which is useful when this job was completed. Persimmon Customer Care chased for 4 months to get a fitter out. Eventually a fitter said they would be here between 11am and 2pm, we were given the name of the fitter. The named fitter failed to show by 2pm instead a really good fitter turned up at 2.50pm. He had a look and showed us what was wrong, took 10 mins to fix. Thank you for this, your work and help was much appreciated. You are a credit to yourself and the company. Other than this fitter, the aftercare is a waste of time. It would help if you tried explaining what is happening instead of a lack of communication.

We had wardrobes fitted almost 7 years ago. The wardrobes are amazing, sturdy and look great! Recently, my husband caused some damage to one of the panels and the after sales care is incredible, even after all of this time!
We will definitely use them in future homes! Special mention to Harlea Spencer who's communication and after care was outstanding!
